  1. Serious question, Mercer do you think Mowbray is doing a decent job, or would you prefer someone else, as you probably know I think he’s a breath of fresh air after some of the dross we have had recently, I know everything he does isn’t 100%,sometimes I think he gets the subs wrong, but overall a very decent, honest manager.
  2. Very true, but when I seem to give my opinion I get shouted down by members and mods, saying I shouldn’t be saying positive comments.
  3. Keep up the posts Chaddy, I think you’re right.
  4. You should have put in for the managers job, seem to know all the answers.
  5. Wonder why Mowbray gave the ok to sign him then, he wasn’t getting much game time at Forest, but it’s potential he has, why do England u20s pick him, he must have something.
  6. Seems to me like a witch-hunt against me, again, from you, what have I actually done wrong, what I wrote seemed to me,to be clear, legible English, and just explained I’m a little more positive than others, seen others come out with far worse but you never seem to mention them, you must have a problem with me.
  7. Too many paragraphs for a short message.
  8. How did I know re Marriott, because the guy who was dealing with it told me.
  9. Listen don’t come with the grammar police with me,if you struggle to read that’s your problem, you’ve got your negative views and I have my positive views, end of.
  10. Don’t talk rubbish, obviously it’s a lot to spend for a club like us, but you can sign a world beater on a free who’s run down his contract but wants £50,000 a week and if he turns out rubbish what do you say, oh it doesn’t matter he was free, I like to think I can tell a decent footballer but I wouldn’t even think I know more than Mowbray and his coaches, who have identified him as a big asset to Rovers regardless of his fee, the lad has to get used to the club, training, fitness, systems etc just like the other new signings, he’s not a Danny Graham, who btw this time last year some were slagging him off, he’s part of a front 3 like Mowbray has said, if we played 2 up top he could play there, but if we play 1 up, like we normally do, with Dack in the hole he has to play either left or right, similar to Armstrong who destroyed Leeds in the first half, give the lad a chance, a lot of Forrest fans were saying potentially he was worth a lot more than what we paid, it was widely publicised that Man U or Tottenham were going to pay 12 mil for him, after that game against Arsenal, too early to make any judgement yet, but the last two appearances he does look like he can dribble and is pretty fast, and as for saying he’s no better than Nuttall, that is silly, the big problem for Rovers is not paying the transfer fee but silly wages which has got us in trouble before, and I personally don’t blame them for keeping the wages sensible, I know for a fact that Marriott was first choice but his wages were unbelievable, the lads only 19 and like some sensible posters have said, it’s not his problem how much he cost, I do think he will come good time will tell.
  11. Of course it’s a good idea, we do it every season at similar prices, expecting an announcement shortly, the full season tickets ar £349 also give you an equivalent of £15 a game and like you said it’s an affordable price.
  12. Why’s he whinging, all he said was he thought we would have sold a few more season tickets, of course half season tickets will be offered, are you trying to say Bolton are more savvy than Rovers, I don’t think so, seems to me every few weeks they are owing money to someone.
  13. Bb68fa pretty certain it’s free.
  14. Reed coming off with a tight hammy could be unfortunate, think he won’t be risked,I’d stick Travis at right back and move Bennett up if Reed doesn’t make it,don’t think TM would though.
  15. Very strange comment, why does everyone seem to jump on Chaddys comments, don’t know the guy he ,just seems to be a positive bloke who’s Rovers through and through, and you’re ridiculing him re his job, just had a 48 hr ban on here for a lot less than what you’re coming out with,Mods need to have a word here.
  16. He’s on a better planet than you,talking sense to me,IMO.
  17. Well you have to respect my opinion as I have others, end of the day most,(not all)have Rovers at heart, just show it in different ways, let’s all hope for happy compromise on the red button/season tickets.
  18. Just trying to write something constructive, ha ha no chance with some of you on here, doom and gloom, there you are that’s different from moaning. What would you do next season if you were the man in charge?
  19. Yeah, how is Waggot to blame for kick offs, been like this for a few years, police and safety officer, Darwen end, can’t see a problem moving them and leaving that end for away supporters, surcharging agree, no need for them, and pricing in hindsight with the red button I follow etc, need a new pricing structure, like Sharpe said today on his Q/A they have tried cheap tickets, not worked, think if I was running the show, next season, to try for an 1 year experiment a £200 season ticket, all over the ground, £100 u/16 and on the day match tickets of £20 for HOME supporters, no cat A,B and C and crucially charge AWAY supporters the same as we get charged, £20 for West Brom if in same division and £38/40 for Leeds etc, we obviously differ in views re Waggot, it just seems to me he is trying hard to get harmony with fans and owners, all that above if obviously we have a decent season, finish half way up the table, and try and push on for promotion next season with hopefully a few more watching.
  20. No,not saying not concerned because it will affect crowds, but if clubs decide to go down this route, will have to be cheaper season tickets.
  21. You’re so right there, excuses all the time, blaming the owners, management, players etc, what they really mean is,they want premier league football, nothing new we’ve always had crap gates for leagues below top division, bumped into someone yesterday who had stopped going last year, said have you gone back yet,he said I nearly did,but they went backwards again, not proper fans just glory hunters, not just Rovers, many teams same.
  22. Nothing new for massive teams like United,Liverpool etc they have had their games moved for years, but when impacts on teams like Rovers, with low crowds,it will be a problem, like I say we could have to wait till next season to see if season tickets are cheaper, because I think the EFL are tied in for a few years, but on a personal view I will be at Ewood regardless,go to quite a few away games, only times it will benefit me is something like Swansea away midweek, but can understand guys who go every game home and away will not be happy.
  23. Yes I agree, but the increased tv income includes this red button.
  24. Obviously it will impact on the fans who are couldn’t care less if they watch it live or on tv,won’t impact on the core fans, but some on here who blame season ticket prices are too high will blow £150 on a weekend on the drink, think Waggot and TM just thought we might have had a few more on,after promotion and the transfer business and renewing contracts, unfortunately Sky has slowly been taking over the whole of football from 1992,with dangling the carrot,(more money) and the EFL have took it,if it ends up with cheaper season tickets, could be the answer,we will find out next season.
