  1. I was thinking about this on Saturday. There should be some education about Rovers history and our significance in local schools ( BwD, and every other borough connecting). My gran got me going in the early 80’s, showed us near the top of the league (never told me about the higher one), the cups we’ve won, etc. The first game I remember was v Cambridge in about ’83 in the Darren end (with the away fans), then the Riverside v Newcastle. By the next game in the BBE enclosure I was hooked.
  2. I made the point to the ticket office staff that they could be out of a job if it’s all online. I also made the point that maybe we should have an online CEO to save money.
  3. I phoned up the ticket office for Stockport tickets and was told that they hadn’t got them there, and could only get them online. Complaint going in.
  4. He seems to have ‘disappeared’ mid season! A fellow Rover knows what has happened but won’t let on.
  5. Now that it’s finally over, I have to thank the positives- the fans. We haven’t missed a game, and the following in the conditions, has been brilliant. The highs of Sunderland, Leeds, QPR, Leicester, the lows of Wednesday, Huddersfield, Bristol City. The resilience at Middlesbrough, the second half was hair raising. There’s more but I don’t want to rake over cold stones. At home, NO1 and NO5 well done- plus the pockets in the Riverside and JW Lower DE. Some good songs and consistent, through good and bad times. The song selection at the home games also deserve a mention. Obviously the inclusion of Hardcore Uproar, and the Wild Rover, Frenzy 👍🏻but Gerry Cinnamon, Mondays, Roses, New Order, Artic Monkeys, Smiths, Courteneers, to name a few, they aren’t from the area but they have home here. What is the club without the fans? We can’t yet, manage what the owners do, we can only follow the boys in blue and white.
  6. To pay the bills. I was told at Hillsborough that this was the case. When this £20m runs out, we’ll sell another £20m player.
  7. Someone pointed out this afternoon that our season tailed off in Nov/Dec when the Sweden job became available. Hindsight or coincidence, I don’t know but supporters are joining dots up, rightly or wrongly. Hedges appearance from nowhere got people nattering too.
  8. Why would I make that up? I was told at the game, I indicated I was sceptical but he was insistent All I said, had anyone heard similar not stating fact.
  9. Arrigo Sacchi was a traveling shoe salesman wasn’t he? I don’t know if anyone heard this at Ewood but apparently JDT went AWOL last Saturday and Eustace (or his team) oversaw training this week, and Eustace was in the wings at least 3 weeks ago.
  10. I think it was called by Waggott as a ‘deflection’ due to calling out SW and VH (Rao’s) recently. We are talking about a fan meeting/leaked cctv and a management change, when we should still be angry at the mess at board level/ownership that is going on. He’s a fraud.
  11. To clarify, after the first goal conceded yesterday, a host of people around me in the Blackburn End gave JDT grief. Blaming ‘tippy tippy’ football, ‘go more direct’, ‘time to go’, etc. It got me thinking that if another manager came in, the present board would still hinder them. I want JDT to stay because I feel with the right structure he will succeed. However, with VH not budging, maybe a change at board level, with a more dynamic and positive approach, would mid term help. I am a member of the Trust, and appreciate the time and effort that you put in.
  12. We are being run into the ground. We have an opportunity with JDT to move forward, but he doesn’t have the correct support.
