  1. We'll definitely win one before the international break just to keep us plodding around in 14th/15th. The only guarantee is that it won't be against Preston. I think it could be tonight.
  2. We'll win this to get us all excited before Saturday.
  3. We'll keep limping on, winning once in every 4 or 5 games or so just to give us enough of a cushion to be sucked into any real trouble, whilst others tell us we're only 6 points, 7 points, 8 points etc off the play offs with every passing week.
  4. Another game passes where we concede first and don't win, and do absolutely nothing in 4 minutes of injury time apart from a few non descript balls to no one.
  5. Our last injury time winner in the league was February 2017 under Coyle.
  6. Team will be interesting. Only certainty's are that Bennett, Downing, Armstrong & Dack will all play. Rothwell won't play, then the rest of the selection/formation will be anyones guess.
  7. Oh give over Chaddy stop being so naïve, Of course he had input in it.
  8. Exactly my thoughts and why I'm going really. As Stuart says, huge away followings need games that capture the imagination, all the novelty of the league one games captured that imagination, likely to win, new grounds for this generation etc. Preston away under Lambert, felt like something was happening with our first "real manager" for years. Preston away last season, we'd had a pretty decent start to the season and the spike from promotion season was still there. This season at Preston feels like when we went there under Coyle, think less than 3k went that day? We all know that we'll turn up, most players will be out of position, the same undroppable players will be playing, with the same bizarre tactics, we'll likely go a goal behind in 20 minutes and that will be that. As Matty says the club is in a huge rut, on and off the field.
  9. I want to know what happened to that Oldham right back, the one that was so good/dangerous that we had to play both Williams and Bell at home against them just to nullify him.
  10. It was a championship game against Leicester that he started, which we actually won! But yes the general point still remains. Very strange.
  11. That attitude runs through the whole club in my opinion.
  12. Not surprising really is it, I saw a number of less than 1500 on Twitter earlier. Rovers fans are notoriously late at buying for local fixtures so obviously expect more than that will turn up in the end, but it just shows that the apathy from the owners/management/players has finally made it all way down to the away following, which up until now has held out pretty well since our third division season. No doubt it will turn into some Rovers fans slating our support though ?
  13. When that idiot made monkey gestures to Dwight Yorke as he was warming up ?
  14. Glory hunting ? Everything aligned on that day, it was one of the very rare "occasion" matches at Ewood in recent years where it was the last day of the season, £10 a ticket, bank holiday weekend, glorious day weatherwise, late afternoon kick off, and the promise of a "promotion celebration day". A lot probably made a day or weekend of it, a lot of exiled fans probably came over with it being a rare day. I honestly think they could make it £10 every game and there wouldn't be that much of an increase if we're still plodding about between 12th & 16th in this league.
  15. We had just won a promotion, and it was £10 a ticket.
  16. Why not just charge Sheff Wed £40 for the darwen end upper and keep home prices what they usually are? The like for like seats are the in the Blackburn end upper and we don't open that up anyway, so it can be done. Sure we would have to charge them £28 or whatever it is in the lower should they sell out, but are they going to bring more than 3k at £40? I wouldn't have thought so. Ask Waggott that at the next FF please.
  17. 1875 members get £15 off for the Sheff Wed game too.
  18. Yeah I remember that clearly. They used to sell us upper's first at £33 or whatever it was which seemed ridiculous back then, then the lower tier tickets were around £10 cheaper. Remember one year (06-07 I think) when everyone caused a massive stink about it and we got allocated the lowers first, as we had only charged them £15 for the game at Ewood!
  19. Sheffield Wednesday have just released ticket details for there game at Ewood in a few weeks, £40 for the Darwen End Upper. What I don't understand is, why are home prices increased for this fixture then we don't have too? We can get away with charging £40 for away fans as we don't open up the Blackburn end Upper anyway which would be the "like for like" seats. Then if they sell those out, they can have lower tier tickets at £28 or whatever it would be normally in the Blackburn End Lower.
  20. All meaningless though, any player at any club will say exactly the same thing. As others have said, the proof is what happens on the pitch, and I haven't seen any sense of urgency from this bunch for a while now.
  21. Dave Artell would go exactly the same way as Nathan Jones at Stoke.
  22. Even worse than usual it will be at around 1430 ? I think this will be a draw, a slow, plodding, bore of one too. 0-0 or 1-1.
  23. Me too. I fear he wont though with Mowbrays chopping and changing on a weekly basis. Thing with Dack is though, he knows he he is playing every week along with Bennett & Downing regardless of form so he can probably do what he likes.
  24. Not a bad life is it, plod about in a lower mid table second division side, score the odd goal, win a few, lose a few without any urgency, jet off to Dubai (or wherever) for a jolly every four weeks. Theres only Williams and Evans away for international duty, in my mind they should have had two intensive weeks training getting themselves ready for the next batch of fixtures. I could half excuse it if we were sat top of the league, but from what I have seen so far this season we could probably fill two months worth of training with things to do never mind two weeks. Still, nobody is that bothered at the club so it does make you wonder why we should be.
  25. With Cunningham out, I think I would be half tempted to go 3 at the back, with Bennett & Downing as wing backs.
