  1. The last two I attended there were 4-1 & 5-0 defeats so I thought that too until I looked a little deeper!
  2. Mixed bag there since we have started playing them regularly again over the past 12 years or so. 3 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats in that time.
  3. Unfortunately one day we'll be in League 2 with venkys still here.
  4. Travis and Pears back on Saturday according to Eustace.
  5. I have always thought that if any manager gets a venkys owned Blackburn Rovers out of this division and back in the top flight, it would be the greatest achievement of any manager in the clubs history.
  6. Sort of player who might be worth a punt if you are bringing in 2 or 3 quality championship players with him at the same time. As a main January signing for a side sitting in 6th place?
  7. Pears Sanderson Hyam Litherland Beck Dolan Buckley Forshaw Hedges Cantwell Gueye No idea who will be on the bench apart from Toth, Weimann, ACD and Leonard Everything points to a defeat, but this is a strange, strange league and you just never know.
  8. As much as i like Eustace, he is not correct in every little thing he says, or every single player he wants. We created chances, like a top 5 side should do at home against a side floundering in the bottom half, but we didn't take them. I'm not going to praise a side for creating a few chances at home. It was average at best, but the fact we didn't take any chances, and conceded two poor goals, tells me that it wasn't a particularly good overall performance.
  9. No. No first team squad player's contract has been renewed since Adam Wharton in December 2023.
  10. Home side in the top 5 creates a few chances against a side in the bottom half, so they bloody should to be fair! We obviously have very different standards if we're thinking that was a good performance last night. Years of mediocrity seems to think creating a few chances at home to a poor side is worthy of praise.
  11. We're 16 points clear of the bottom 3. Even if we carry on to have the ultimate of all death spirals, I still imagine we will win at least 2 or 3 more games before the end of the season.
  12. I'd be keeping Garrett around and sending Forshaw out on loan. Hopeless.
  13. I will wager that we haven't agreed a deal, or even close to one.
  14. They will always just about do the absolute bare minimum to ensure either of these don't happen. Considering there are now hardly any assets to sell, and with obviously no intent to bring any potential assets in, eventually we'll drop through the leagues but the one constant will be that our esteemed owners will always just about do enough to keep us in business. We'll be even more of a shell than we are currently, and we'll look at these play off challenging days as "the good times" before long.
  15. We used to have one years ago but to many people got offended by it!
  16. Already lost to a Wayne Rooney side this season, so I would say yes, anything is possible with this lot. I don't think we will lose tonight though.
  17. Which is why we will probably be in for him.
  18. Yes, because he won't be working for Venkys.
  19. He did a full season at Birmingham, getting the most points for them in a season since 2016, then he had a really good 3 months the following season and left them sitting in 6th. Took over a bit of a mess here, and while unconvincing did stop the slide to some degree by making us a lot harder to beat, then this season after 27 games has us sat in 5th. Eustace won't have to wait to long again for a Championship job should he become available.
  20. Including Hilton, and omitting Wharton, Garrett, Leonard and Gilsenan, that's 24 registered players for our squad. How are we going to get the 4 we desperately need in considering we can only register 25? Only one I could see leaving is McFadzean.
  21. Yep, which in turn has made the competition a bit crap. TV has killed it unfortunately.
  22. Moved for iplayer. Not even real TV. Also the two best ties moved to Monday and Tuesday night. And there is still folk out there wondering why nobody bothers with this crap competition anymore.
  23. Don't really fancy us tomorrow, they are in great form and Rowett will play us at our own game, sit in, defend well and frustrate. Oxford 1 Rovers 0
  24. Well he signed a new long term contract back in March, so not anytime soon I would wager!
