  1. Weddings during the season, never heard anything like it. I was given several dates by the misses and strategically arranged mine during the September International break in 2012. One of my best mates who is a Port Vale fan was fuming, they won 6-2 that day ?
  2. Yeah totally agree with this. I miss the days when an away kit was an away kit, and not just a "change" kit for the sake of it. No reason why we shouldn't wear blue and white at all those places.
  3. Yeah, no chance that will happen. I expect Mulgrew to be here next season to be honest, Smallwood I think will go.
  4. I'll personally be amazed if anyone is signed before the players come back for pre season.
  5. Rich Sharpe just tweeted that Fielding has been released by Bristol City, says he would fit the bill for what Mowbray is looking for. One to watch?
  6. And as an international too. Look, I don't think Williams is very good by any means, but he has played pretty well recently since going to CB, and I think he would be acceptable there next season as 3rd/4th choice, just keep him away from left back, but to say there are better players in the north west counties than him is a bit ridiculous.
  7. Based on what? I see this as the typical lazy solution "because he used to play for us" I very much doubt he will come back here.
  8. He grew into the game for me. Looked a little slow, sluggish in the first half. Probably wasnt expecting to come on so early. Second half i thought he was excellent, if allowed games together him and Travis could develop into a real partnership.
  9. Sunday 14th July is being mooted on there forums.
  10. Only one i remember is in Australia, we have played Hearts, Kilmarnock, Dundee & Celtic away over recent years but i don't recall us ever playing at Ibrox.
  11. A price freeze is a welcome suprise, i was convinced they were going to put £50 on it again. 18-25 is another great move so that has to be applauded even though every other bugger does it. Was really hoping a proper singing section might have been introduced but i suppose that was asking a bit too much. Better than expected is what i'd say.
  12. In modern football, I don't think many clubs can prepare a long term plan as things can go wrong very quickly, then it's all change again. IMO we really should have pushed the boat out for a couple of quality players In January and see where it took us, we were in great form at the time so you never know what could have happened, and at worst we would have had two quality players that we wouldn't have had to find this summer that had already integrated with the squad etc.
  13. Where has the Rangers rumour come from? Would be a good one that, hopefully it would be a Saturday afternoon at 3pm and not a Tuesday night.
  14. I don't find anything strange about that at all, classic Rovers under Venkys.
  15. Yeah, I remember TM saying exactly the same last summer about wanting to do business early, then used the World Cup as an excuse why we couldn't. Like above I'll be amazed if the bulk of our deals are done before the players return to pre season training, it just won't happen, I fully expect a deadline day flap like last year putting in nonsensical bids for people we haven't even heard of/been linked with all summer.
  16. Haha is that Maddison still at Peterborough? I can't wait for another summer of seeing his name on every other post. I think Bauer might depend on whether Charlton go up In the play offs or not, if he signs I imagine he will be used when Lenihan is out, and not a partner for him. I'd say GK, CH, RB, LB, CM & ST are the positions that we need to sign, with 4/5 of them being good enough to come straight into the side instead of sitting on the bench for 6 months "learning the Mowbray" way.
  17. Yeah I imagine if Luton was early on in the season then they would use 1875 + ST's + x amount of away games from this season. It will still go to general sale though ?
  18. I'd like to think somebody would give Waggott and co a good roasting over Season Tickets, but I imagine it will be more box ticking and back patting than anything else.
  19. Don't get your hopes up, Evans and Mulgrew have only just signed new deals, they will both be here for a while yet, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if both started the first game of next season. I think Smallwood might be moved on, and I think we'll let Gladwin, big Jase & Downing's contracts all expire. I have a feeling Conway might get another year to keep him around the squad as an option. I'm pretty sure Samuel will be given a chance to prove himself again at this level, and maybe send Nuttall out on loan to league one for a year?
  20. Plus a lot of folk seem to forget that it's his first season at this level. He's had a bloody good year for me, the test will be if he can carry on to this level next season.
  21. Pete O'Rourke on Twitter mentioned the same earlier today, completely ignored it though as like you say there will probably be a hundred lads in for trials etc over the summer.
  22. Haha yeah, bit longer than 12 months though, he scored in April 1994 against Southampton, and his next goal was in December 1997 against West Ham. Was a great moment.
  23. As has been said, I don't think there was really any intention to get the ST info out "mid/late April", I imagine it was just a generic answer out of thin air to the FF on that particular night.
  24. With Lenihan out it seems to be the perfect excuse to put Mulgrew back in, then next week and to start next season, it will be back to Lenihan & Mulgrew.
