  1. This is what we needed in the summer, it wasnt addressed. We wont be signing anyone this window who will go straight into the team because it will give Tony too many selection problems with his faves. We all know where needs addressing, but can anyone realistically see somebody coming in to take the place of Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell, Bennett, Smallwood or Evans on a regular basis? Or a real wide player to play on that left side instead of Armstrong? Because i can't.
  2. Should be plenty going forward in that side but christ that defence, three of them haven't got a tackle in them.
  3. He was ok, got caught out far too often for me. However, he would certainly be an upgrade on Lenihan.
  4. Think it was actually 0/9 under Lambert at Christmas as our boxing day game with Middlesborough was postponed.
  5. I would have thought he'll put Reed alongside Evans in the middle, Bennett and Armstrong either side of Dack. If Nyambe is still out though i suppose that might open up a spot for Travis?
  6. Mulgrew has scored two from outside the box this month alone, although i'm presuming you mean from open play ?
  7. He should do, but ive seen enough of Tonys selections to tell me he wont. I expect Travis, Palmer, Rothwell & Brereton to all bebout of the starting lineup come Tuesday.
  8. If theres one thing for certain, he wont start on Tuesday.
  9. Are ipswich a bogey team? We have won 4 and drawn 1 in our last 5 against them at Ewood. We should be looking at winning that. Out of the others, between WBA-Brentford i'd be suprised if we got 6 points. I'm going into games now thinking we'll concede at least 2/3.
  10. Didnt start at WBA either despite Graham not playing. Maybe there is something financial in the loan contract and we will see more of him when he is officially our player. I'm not too worried yet but as Matty said after the Norwich game it did make me think about it a bit more, in that cameo he looked like he had never played the game before.
  11. Oh come on! I have defended Brereton as he's a 19 year oldvlad in a new area still learning the game, but what on earth have you seen to come out with that utterly rediculous opinion? Even if he "bedded" in this season and scored say 15 goals next season we would sell him the year after anyway. Garners record haha good grief.
  12. As we have said before in this thread, if we had sold all our tickets there would have been endless tweets about it, plus i reckon they would have opened Blues to show it in there if we had.
  13. It would be very typical of the Championship if we went here and won 1-0.
  14. Obviously depends on where you are going too, theres plenty going back into Manchester but don't think you can get much further. Becoming a huge pain this industrial action.
  15. Yeah that's a fair point to be honest, they would have been all over "over 2000 tickets sold for our boxing day trip to Leeds get yours now! #totalcommitment". I think it's likely we have sent 1000 or so back for them to sell as I said in my original post.
  16. Thing is Matty I've long given up trying to work out Rovers away support. Just makes me laugh how we all jump on it saying it can't possibly be true that we have sold 2k at £40 a pop despite the club releasing that statement. Are you saying they are not telling the truth? The comparison with two years ago I'm not sure about, they were dark days under Coyle, i think our fanbase look at us with a lot more positivity at the moment.
  17. Have to laugh, could it not just be possible that a boxing day game attracts more than the usual away game regulars due to time of year, families being home for Christmas etc regardless of price? No of course not, they are all liars damn it! Of course another scenario could be that we have given say a thousand or so tickets back to Leeds to sell, the club tweeted on the 18th that around 1000 were sold, does seem a bit far fetched that another 1000 have sold in the 3 days since.
  18. Proves that Leeds were right to charge us £39. Who would have thought it? Wonder if that means Sky can now get there hands on this game via the red button?
  19. Called them all "screamers", 3 of the 4 took huge deflections!
  20. We have been allocated 3000 tickets for this as a "initial" allocation, would have thought that would be more than enough. Doesn't state where the tickets are, but I imagine they will be up in the gods.
  21. I can guarantee you that we will not get 10 points out of them. 6 at best.
  22. David Bentley is another who has played for both.
  23. This is going to be one dull game. 0-0 or 1-0 either way.
  24. Was a horrible day wasn't it, got offered £300 for my season ticket twice walking down Livesey to the game. Quite a few cashed in from what I saw too.
  25. Manchester City also did it in 98-99 out of the third tier, & 99-00 when they won promotion at Ewood.
