Reading Mowbrays comments this morning it doesn't seem likely to me that Chapman is coming. I predict some obscure loan at the last minute to cover for Samuel.
-
Well Middlesbrough have just signed Mcqueen from Southampton on loan who i think is a left winger.

Aslong as things are going well on the pitch, nobody cares about any horrible things, or wrong doings that the owners are doing/have done behind the scenes. That is the way it is, and always will be with 99% of football fans up and down the land.

Plus i imagine there are too many regulars that "wont give up there seat" in the Blackburn end. If it comes to it i reckon they would probably look at putting it in the Darwen end.

Season Tickets 2018/19
MarkBRFC replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That would be sensible. I know if you have bought tickets for any of the three home games then they knock that off the total if you now buy a ST. On a different matter i'm interested to see how many Villa bring in a couple of weeks, will they be restricted to just the lower tier because we cant give the whole end unless its a noon KO on "police advice"?! -
Best Starting Eleven 2018/19 Season
MarkBRFC replied to Trinidad Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yes i do. Meant for Brereton on the bench, to start with anyway. I also cant ever see Mowbray starting a game with Armstrong, Dack, Palmer & Graham/Brereton in the same side unless injuries etc dictate.. I think Bennett will always play as one if the three in behind when fit, maybe moving deeper if the we're chasing the game. -
Best Starting Eleven 2018/19 Season
MarkBRFC replied to Trinidad Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
At the moment its probably - Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell, Smallwood, Evans, Bennett, Dack, Palmer, Graham. Bench of - Canadian, Williams, Rodwell, Reed, Rothwell, Armstrong, Brereton I imagine in time Reed & Brereton will replace Smallwood and Graham It's great that we have options now, after Hull last weekend i was terrified at the thought of a few games without Dack, but now think we could cope without him for a few weeks if needed. -
You would presume so.
-
Problem is, Evans "niggles" usually tend to last for 3 months. Hopefully now he has a new deal to play for it will just be a couple of weeks.
-
Dack will be good enough to play in the top flight before long. If he's still here in 2020 we'll have done bloody well.

Match Thread ROVERS vs Lincoln
MarkBRFC replied to JBiz's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I hope we play a side similar to the last round. 2/3 changes but still the core of our first choice 11. Important to keep that winning feeling going into the weekend. 2-0 Rovers 6,879 -
Far too many for me to post in here. I'm wrong about 90% of first opinions when it comes to Rovers! Main two.. Being at Luton when Chris Samba came on for his debut, i looked at my mate and said "you just know he is going to be terrible". I just rolled my eyes and let out a big "FFS" when Mowbray was appointed. Sure there will be plenty more yet!

I enjoyed today. After what all my Stoke supporting pals were telling me after they played them and watching them the other night against Villa, i thought Brentford might have a bit to much for us today with our injuries. Always love to be proved wrong by this lot! Scrappy game that was was won by one moment of pure quality from Rothwell and two fantastic saves from Raya. What i love most about this side is that they love a scrap, Smallwood, Rothwell, Evans, and Bennett were fantastic for me. Far too often in the venkys era have Rovers sides gone down with a wimper. Long may this continue!
-
The only reason i, and many others expected more is because the main people (Mowbray, Waggott) have banged on at every opportunity about this competitive budget to bring cash buys in, and wanting at least 4 more in after Armstrong. Waggot himself said that our signings would push ST sales to there targets! If they had come out and said nothing, i'd be prett content at what we have done. For a while on here a few have tried to blame "the fans" for various things, this being another because some are being "unrealistic'. This competitive budget hasn't been made up by the fans.

This could be one miserable afternoon. We could well be lining up with a front four of Bennett, Rothwell, Conway & Graham. Lots of huff and puff and i'm sure they will all put a shift in, but that has to be the slowest front four in the entire football league. I honestly think they will be far too good/quick for us.
-
What i find disappointing/baffling is that with a week to go until the (second) deadline is that we haven't signed one player who can come straight into the first eleven and improve our team since the final day of last season. Promising starts from Rothwell & Palmer but the jury is still out on both of them for me. I'm all for a bit of loyalty for the players that got us back up, but you coukd argue that half of that side were in part responsible of taking us down in the first place. You have to improve on what you have every summer or you will end up going backwards again, even more so if you are playing at a higher level. For me, upgrades on Smallwood and Graham (dont get me wrong both still important squad members) were the first pieces of business we should have been doing as soon as we knew promotion was secured, followed by some much needed pace out wide and goalkeeper to push Raya. The fact we're still scrapping around free agents like Rodwell and loans, that dont even have an obligation to buy like Reed in the final week speaks volumes to me, i honestly think we have all been lead right up the garden path with this competitive budget nonesense. I think Mowbray has been brilliant for us but if all we end up with in this window is Rodwell, Reed & and whoever that QPR striker is then questions have to be asked of him and whatever this "new" recruitment policy is. Saying blindly "in Tony we trust" wont just cut it for me. 7 days to go.

Season Tickets 2018/19
MarkBRFC replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The work to get all the technology in is being done during the October (or it could be the November one?) international break, so probably the next home game after that at a guess. -
I'm going to stick my neck out, and say no.
-
We need another 29 pages of nonsense before we get our first "loan with a view" signing on board.
-
Not sure that's an accusation we can start throwing around just yet with this lot still at the helm. Sure, we had a good season at our lowest ebb in 40 odd years but as we all welll know chaos is only just round the corner with these owners.
-
isnt chapman injured again for a while? Cant see it being him.
-
Good grief. I'll be the first to get excited if these deals get completed, but i just can't see it. I think we'll get a couple of loans through before the end of the month, but expect it to be players that we haven't been linked with/would never have thought of as that seems to be our way at the moment. Just because i don't see everything on here with a super positive outlook (we have been here before remember) doesnt mean i have some sort of weird agenda where i dont want good players to join or want us to fail or whatever. Grow up.
