  1. There is some connection. Prior to Cantwell coming into the team, we had JRC/Weimann on the right, Dolan central and Hedges left, whilst not a great deal of quality going forward, they all tracked back and helped our full backs out by not leaving them exposed, and they were also playing on there "correct" side without having to cut inside all the time. Bringing Cantwell onto the left has definitely upset that dynamic, time and time again against Swansea Beck was being left exposed, at one point Beck went ballistic at him for casually jogging back while he was up against it. Did the same on Saturday against these. No doubt that Cantwell is a quality player, but for me he needs moving central so he doesn't have to get involved as much tracking back, because he isn't going to do it. Hedges left, Cantwell central, and Dolan/JRC on the right is what I would go with if we are keeping this system.
  2. Baker can't play against his parent club.
  3. Its actually £35 for Leeds fans, the £33 is the online discount for the lucky home fans out there who might fancy it.
  4. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24694209.blackburn-fans-benefit-new-championship-ticket-rule/ Looks like this rule is coming in next season which will put a stop to such nonsense.
  5. He will just sign a pre contract somewhere at some non descript club and see out the rest of the season here doing nothing.
  6. Rovers didn't produce any kind of season review for that season. Was the only season not released between 89-90 & 02-03. Every now and then some highlights/goals from that season pop up on YouTube.
  7. Venkys will be here forever.
  8. Ah yeah fair enough should have added that I've only done it from Manchester/Crewe
  9. Who's paying for him? Because it won't be venkys.
  10. Blokes a write off. Looked ok first few games, ever since his sending off he's looked a player that should be playing a couple of levels lower.
  11. A change at Milton Keynes to Watford is quicker than going into Euston and back out, thats what ive have done the last few seasons for Watford.
  12. Rovers 0 Sheffield Utd 2 We'll huff and puff but won't create much and just drift out to a comfortable defeat.
  13. No press conference today before tomorrow's game?
  14. If we finished 3rd with exactly the same points as 2nd but with one less goal difference, would we be promoted as joint 2nd, or would we be in the play offs because we finished 3rd? We're 6th! (Sorry)
  15. There's no way we're winning this one 1-0, they are very strong at home and we are dreadful away.
  16. True it wasn't a pretty goal, but you said we never score off corners. Doesn't matter how it goes in, we took a corner and it ended up in the back of the net.
  17. We scored off a corner on Saturday?
  18. Wouldn't mind seeing a return to the back 3 we used relatively successfully at the tougher away games last season. JRC - Hyam - Batth - Pickering - Beck Travis - Tronstad Cantwell Dolan-Gueye I do think this will be a game to far though after a couple of tired perfomances. Watford 2 Rovers 0
  19. There is some confusion there. The last time we won our first 5 home games of the season in a row was 1994/95. The last time we won 6 at home in a row was under JDT, between 13th September-5th November 2022.
  20. We did under JDT... I thought we were ok last night, apart from them two chances in the first half we looked fairly solid. Never felt like we were going to score though, Getting progressively worse at home though, 3-0, 2-0, 1-0 now 0-0. Imagine Sheffield Utd will beat us fairly comfortably in the next home game. Still if someone had said we would be 6th after 11 games with 19 points I would have called them a dirty liar so can't not be happy with our overall start.
  21. Ben Brereton Diaz, against WBA funnily enough in February 2023.
  22. Can't recall him until January anyway. Probably just catching up with folk, seeing how his loan is going etc.
  23. Still gets them out playing football with men though, even a short spell at that level is more beneficial than academy football all the time.
  24. He was on the bench, don't think he got on. Edit - He did get on at half time, missed that on the write up i read up earlier.
  25. I've always thought the ultimate aim for Waggott with the Roverstore is to have it only open on matchdays with it being an online retailer the rest of the week.
