  1. He didn't take to the Spanish league, fair enough. Players better than Ben Brereton Diaz have gone to foreign leagues and not settled. Gareth Bale once went 24 games without being on the winning side, doesn't really mean anything, He's played 4 games for his new team where his "current fanbase hate him". After his time here, you would think it wouldn't be so wise to make such a snap judgement at the start of one's career at a club, no? So no, doesn't look like his career is going down the drain at all to me.
  2. How? He moved to the top division in Spain from the second tier in England, then went on loan to the top flight in England, became his teams top goalscorer despite only playing 14 games, and off the back of that has got another move to another club in the Prem? How is his career quickly going down the drain?
  3. Can see the confusion, as the 02-03 game was on April 7th 2003, and the 03-04 game was on April 12th 2004. Scored 4 in both of them, both games were on Monday nights, and both were at Loftus Road!
  4. Presume this will be the same for Boxing day against Sunderland then? They will give it a good go filling the whole Darwen End for a Boxing day game I'm sure.
  5. If we did go up one day all those games would probably be 1230 Saturday or 2pm Sunday anyway for TV.
  6. If he's getting paid more and competing in better leagues, not really downhill is it? He was Sheffield Utd's top scorer last season despite only playing 14 games.
  7. Even Swansea/Cardiff kicked off at 3pm the other week. Yet Sunderland/Sheff Wed a few weeks back was a 12pm kick off. Not sure there is any logic behind anything they do.
  8. And that's if they even bother to run. Northern have been cancelling all Sunday services on a lot of there routes for months now.
  9. Cantwell looked miles off it to me in his cameo on Sat. No reason to rush him at the min, keep building those sub appearances for a few weeks and hopefully ready to really go after the next international break. Only one for me who's position might be under threat from Saturday is Baker who wasn't great, but was out of position to be fair.
  10. No reason to change the side for me. Gueye will be a good asset off the bench for this one. Think we win this 2-0.
  11. You must be new to the venkys era 😁
  12. Obviously not with the times but I still find it crazy that I wouldn't be able to pop to the ticket office before the game tomorrow and buy a ticket for the Preston game.
  13. Definitely one to bite us on the arse tomorrow looking at all the positivity. Bristol City decent record at Ewood winning 3 of the last 6 since we came back up to the Champ in 2018. Think we lose 1-0 in a really frustrating encounter to bring everyone back down to earth.
  14. Striker, winger (more specifically pace, as we have plenty of players who can play out wide but the problem is they are all slower than me), and a centre half is where we're a bit short for me.
  15. Stick that game at Villa Park or Elland Road or wherever really and there is an intensity about it. Matty is correct that the Wembley midweek games are as flat as an Ewood cup game in Mowbray's tenure.
  16. Yep that's the one. 2-0 up and it ended up 2-2. Another fun fact from that game, Mark Venus blasted a penalty over the Blackburn End!
  17. We won our 1st games after the September, October and November International breaks last season.
  18. Starting from the 26-27 season they are getting rid of the October international break, but making the September international break twice as long. So Rovers would play on the 19th September, but then the next match would be on the 10th October. Not sure which one is better. The November and March international breaks remain as they are, as well as the June internationals. That looks to be the case until at least 2030.
  19. A few years in the prem and one season playing "the right way" has gotten to them it seems.
  20. I dunno, we beat them at Ewood last season. Before that though they had a decent record here.
  21. Was just a short term month for a loan to Macc I think? It seemed more 4231 to me last night, with Tyjon in the "10" role. Bloxham left and Edmondson right.
  22. Ah brill thanks, him and the right back were the only ones I couldn't put names too last night. Whitehall too, can definitely tell he has something, just a shame about all those injuries.
  23. First u21 game attended for a good while tonight with being in town ready for tomorrow. Who was the left back? Thought he was brilliant. Tyjon was very good, and one of the centre halves stood out too, Litherland? As mentioned above. Thought Bloxham looked really sharp too, just guilty of taking too many touches at times and over thinking things. Mafoumbi was disappointing but understandable he's adjusting to the country and English football etc. Enjoyable watch for the most part, especially 20 mins after half time.
