  1. Whilst I am positive about the managerial appointments I do think people are underestimating the task on hand here this season. 5 of our best 11 last season have already left, with another one certain to follow at some point. We need 6 good players in just to stand still as a top half side, the likes of Vale, Butterworth, Magloire just won't be upto it, while it's a season or two too soon for Garrett, Phillips, Wharton, Leonard etc. I just don't see us getting the required quality in, in time. I think we'll be miles behind come 30th July. Preparing for one hell of a struggle this season.
  2. The best one was that final 5 bundle for £100, but if you bought each ticket separately it would have been £90 😆
  3. Actually had £20 on it but cashed out in the fear of injury/sale/loss of form!
  4. Diaz won me 10k, so i might shed a tear when he leaves.
  5. I'm hoping that was just a Mowbray thing! Never seemed to be a problem under anyone else.
  6. The exciting platters we get linked with between now and say mid July won't happen. It will be similar to getting linked with Farke and Cavalhal and them going elsewhere because we're too slow off the mark. Hope there are still some decent bargains to be had in August
  7. Remember getting the Rochdale and Portsmouth league cup games in with the season ticket in 00-01, don't recall it happening before or since though.
  8. I remember a few years ago we were due to play someone in a friendly and we ended up drawing them in the cup like this so they cancelled it, can't remember who though. Edit - It was Mansfield in 2016, just saw Sharpe put it on twitter.
  9. Both games in the 2015-16 season were on Saturday lunchtime on Sky, so it is possible it stays on the Saturday.
  10. Thought we would have a proper thread for the fixtures, don't think it belongs in the Pre-Season thread. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/june/23/rovers-to-kick-off-with-qpr-/ QPR at Ewood opening game.
  11. Because he's "happy" according to @darrenrover 😁
  12. Doesn't work like that, works on the whole weekend. If Burnley are at home first weekend then we'll be away and vice versa.
  13. Last time we were home first and last day was the 15-16 season.
  14. Seems to have worked that way in the last few years. Before that though i remember plenty of times where we were at home first and last day, and also away first and last too. Over Christmas you are correct it always works out alternate on boxing/new years day.
  15. The quality of names we're been linked with is is certainly refreshing, would be suprised if we got him in though. Also don't see us moving for a 31 year old winger.
  16. Carabao Cup first round draw 🥰
  17. Yeah true. I imagine any potential signing would have to meet the management team though? I'm also taking them at face value when they say they will look internally for any signings first, which i think the Portugal trip will give them an idea. I just don't see anything happening on the transfer front for at least 2/3 weeks, but obviously hope i'm wrong.
  18. I wouldn't bet on it. They go to Portugal at the end of the week so i reckon that will rule out any signings until at least after the first game on July 9th.
  19. What a squad that was, great memories. Look at this bunch we have now, not a captain among them.
  20. I'm not sure it did help to be honest, after we had sold the half season tickets and the Blackburn End was virtually full, we only won 3 more games!
  21. It's an interesting thought. Would people prefer say a £30 a month DD scheme all year round for a seat instead of forking out £400 in one go in the summer? Think it's similar to what Hull offer.
  22. We need that just to try and stand still with the players we have already lost and likely to lose.
  23. We have enough players to bring in without trying to replace Dolan aswell. Keep, he might thrive under JDT, if not there is always next summer as he's got a few years left on his deal yet i think?
  24. Have to admit thats why we got them just for that one game. We thought there might be an outside chance of needing them for Bristol Rovers too but that ended up going to general sale.
  25. It was something they introduced to both ST holders and non ST holders back when we were in league one. As a ST holder it was meant to give you extra priority to away games and a load of other stuff. As a non ST holder you got a few quid off match day tickets etc and put you above standard non ST holders in the que for away tickets. (Not that it was ever needed apart from Fleetwood). I had it for a couple of seasons and realised it was a con as a ST holder. There should be something similar in place for non ST holders though to get them money off match day tickets etc.
