That Preston game was originally meant to be a Sunday lunchtime in March, but got postponed because we made it to the FA Cup Quarter finals.

I'm not sure prem clubs will be beating his door down to be honest. Could see a relegated club taking him if he stays until the summer. I think whatever happens in the summer with Rovers, he won't be here next season.

I think it was naivety from the ticket office. They probably saw this game like a Bournemouth one, just after Christmas, fair distance etc. Wont have crossed there minds that we have only played there once in the last 40 years where fans have been allowed and a lot would want to tick the ground off.

Yeah I remember in 2000-2001 we made the Huddersfield and Sheffield Utd games in the run in £10 & £5 in all areas. The Huddersfield game got nearly 30k in, while the Sheff Utd which was midweek got over 25k on. Different times obviously, but I think the QPR game is perfect for a £10 ticket game, then maybe do something with the Bournemouth one if we're still in the run in.

Yeah you can't sign a pre contract with another English club. Slightly different rules than Scotland where they can I think. Rothwell would only be able to sign a pre contract at somewhere abroad/Scotland.

It's not been longer. His first injury he was out from December 2019 and made his first team comeback in December 2020. This time he got injured in March 2021 and it's only January 2022, so in reality he is probably a good month or so away from playing for the first team.

Think Rothwell was always a central midfielder to be honest, Mowbray just played him out wide because he didn't really know what to do with him. Also see Armstrong, Brereton, Gallagher, Holtby.
