v Coventry City (a) - 1/10/2024

I had the same issue, the club were only allowed to send 50 sets of tickets to be collected from Coventry so they had to remove that option. They've had to post them out to me today and if they don't turn up then I've to call tomorrow and they'll arrange duplicates to be collected. You couldn't make it up.... -

Just a heads up for anyone still wanting to buy tickets...... The option to buy and collect from the ground is no longer an option on line, only collection from Ewood. Ticket office have said that they're only allowed to send 50 sets of tickets for collection to Coventry!! So they've posted me out some tickets and if they don't arrive tomorrow then they can arrange for duplicates to be collected from Coventry, which apparently don't count towards the 50.....?? Oh, and Coventry won't allow sales on the day. Didn't realise they were in a position to make it as difficult as possible for fans to give them some money... -

But surely it's Coventry's decision not to sell on the day? I get the point about not being able to phone up and buy, thats just wrong when they have the tickets there, the staff available and someone still have to put a ticket into an envelope to post it out..... -

Bugger, I won't know whether I can make it until Monday so that has basically decided it for me. Edit - depending on when the cut off point for sales is, there is an option to collect from Coventry's ground. Really don't see the issue in not allowing sales at the ground, it's not as if we're going to sell out is it? -
and none at 3pm on the Saturday. I knew they were increasing the amount on TV this season but to show every EFL game over the weekend seems a bit OTT to me.

Sorry don't have a link specifically for the match. I've got the channel as part of an IPTV subscription that covers that channel. It's on DAZN La Liga if you can find that? Wouldn't know where that would be though, sorry. -

23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?

Looks to me like the Venky's logo has been photoshopped on. No sign of it in the video and the photos would have come from the same shoot. Would look odd with just that one bit of colour on the sleeve. Although whether they'll have a white logo patch made up for the shirt is particularly doubtful. Can't see any further official shots of the shirt yet. -
Ive a feeling Jason Wilcox missed a pen that year - could have been in addition to Marker though.

For those with SKY but not the Sports package, the game is also on the Sky Showcase channel. Channel number 106 -
Don't ticket prices have to be agreed by both teams? I know thats the case in the FA Cup where the revenue is split, I'm assuming the same happens here? Plus there's a minumum you can charge in the FA Cup, think it starts at £10 for round 3 and may rise through the rounds but don't know for sure. Having said that, with the money on offer in the Prem, its hardly going to dent the coffers at Forest if we offer tickets for £10, £15 or £20

Their weekend game got moved to Monday due to the Commonwealth Games so the cup game got moved to Thursday and then the knock on of our game to the Sunday. -
'Poor management and a shit offer of wages' would, in my view, be offering more than we can afford. You've only to look at the mess Derby find themselves in, amongst others, to see how easy it is to fail in the gamble of promotion. I've no idea what has been offered, nor what we can afford but surely the 2 are closely aligned?

Considering he's been the linesman at both the World Cup Final and the Champions League Final, he had an absolute stinker with some of the decisions he made. Just glad they didn't cost us the points. -

Or they do it for free as a trial to make sure all is working well for the first game? Any issues/glitches then they can't be held to account in terms of refunds Or maybe not...... -

That's the detail you won't get from an 'off the shelf' shirt we'd have had with Umbro or Nike. The rose in the blue and the collar motto make it unique. Probably won't please all but looks great to me!
