  1. Dont understand why that comment was added to this particular post unless you are equating racists with people who dont like Lucas Neill
  2. or kevin gallacher? why wont it? greedy, disloyal, Billy Bigtime. Sounds like good booing material to me. cant wait!
  3. perhaps you might want to read a post before replying to it.
  4. Was at the game tonight with mates who have been pro Niell throughout this protracted Liverpool/Barca (you must be joking!) saga. One of the previosly pro Niell lads stated he never wants to see him in a Rovers shirt again after his insult to those who have contributed to his wages for the last 4 years and have had the temerity to voice their dissapproval of his public snubbing of our club.
  5. obviously it was just me and few hundred sat around me in the bbe who, for the first three seasons, thought Niell was a clumbsy leg breaker who couldn't pass a ball from a - b. Have to admire your loyalty to a player who cant wait to sling his hook, pity it isn't a character trait shared by the man himself.
  6. Give us a couple more decent seasons to make up for the previous dross?
  7. I admit to never being a Neill fan and this whole sorry saga has meant that I now do not just not rate him but dislike him.All the talk of him not doing anything tecnnically wrong are factually correct but it is the spirit of his behaviour that irks me. After we took a punt on him to bring him to the Premiership the return we had was poor to say the least. Now after one decent season he very publically slaps our club in the face. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I just happen to believe that Blackburn Rovers deserve better than that.
  8. fair play to you, quality debate. T*sser.
  9. For the majority of the time Lucas Neill has been with us he has been a possesion conceding, free kick and penalty conceding leg-breaking liabilty. He has one decent season and all of a sudden he is Billy Bigtime. He is turning his back on OUR club when OUR club had ample opportunity to turn it's back on him. Yes I will continue to boo Niell, for as long as our otherwise excellent manager continues to allow him to wear the shirt that he dosn't deserve to wear.
  10. I saw my first game in '73 and my Dad used to leave me on the Enclosure wall at 1 o'clock and go for a pint under the Nuttall Street Stand! The old Ewood is part of my growing up and I suspect the same goes for many others on this mb. I was a Riversider by heart but remember Rovers fans having the Darwen End in the late 80's which was great as I'd always wanted us to have that huge cavernous terrace with it's great accoustics. Think we did it justice!
  11. The Reading result is totally unacceptable and follows on from last seasons Brighton debacle. Is there a correlation between a downturn in results and graduates from the Academy and the departure of Rob Kelly? If so if the worst happens for him at Leicester perhaps the powers that be should consider offering him is old job back. Whatever, the Academy is vital to us and is not producing. This must be addressed.
  12. He's probably done one now given the warm Lancasire welcome he was given
  13. What Mourinho and Ferguson (and to a lesser extent Wenger) have in common is being very successfull and absolute T*ssers. there is an obvious link between those characteristics. As for Ferguson I detest the man with the entire fibre of my being.
  14. I know "Big Club" get some stick on this mb but today I should like to doff my blue and white cap in the direction of the Second City-huzzah for the Bluenoses!
  15. I found Fulham rather annoying during the promotion season and still do. One large gubbing for the Cottaging types please.
  16. Best rush down for my ticket before they sell out
  17. thought we bossed first 2o, played some neat football and desrved a draw. Feyenoord have a genuine European pedigree so tonight is a feather in our cap. Watched the game in the pub and was narked by Dave Farrer's commentary. isnt this the guy who said " Burnley is a football town Blackburn isnt"? Weather he did or didnt he is ex Radi Ding....sorry Lancs. Enough said.
  18. He may look like Jimmy Durante but I love him never the less-ha cha cha cha cha!
  19. looking beyond the hypr and front page headlines the fact is that Beckham is quality - phenominal workrate and great passing. Much as I love Toogs it would be great to see Beckham in the centre of our midfield, trouble is I seem to remember Martin Jol publicly courtng Becks. If that's the case that's where he's going.
  20. you strike me as being a lovely bloke
  21. I was there and seem to remember a skinny bloke with a brown afro invading the pitch during the game wearing just his jeans. he was a rovers fan and his mates chanted "Baxter, Baxter!".......or did I dream all of that?
  22. "you might as well go home", "5-0 and you cant go home", "5-0 in your cup final", "can we play you every week", "you're so sh*t it's unbelievable" - I'm not usually a singer but as an Accy blue what I felt that day transended mere words. When Hignet hit the net for number five I almost wept! Confined my celebrations to Ossy though as the Yahoo's went on their customary wrecking spree in Accy town centre!
  23. In common with millions of other people Manchester United bring out the worst in me. there are, of course many reasons for this but chief amonst them are their spitting, red nosed, hypocritical arsehole of a manager and most of all their cocky, arrogant fans with their bloody stupid clappy songs penned by that sad loser in his Davyhulme bedsit. Great spontaneous terrace wit that. So thankfully I will be working on Saturday and not turned from a liberal, rational citizen into a foaming at the mouth dervish. by the way, 3-0 to the Rags.
  24. blimey! is azzyb one of those shockjocks on Talksh@te sorry sport?
  25. Like to see them try THAT on Memorial Park of a Sunday morning!
