Yeah go for that everybody He was a great player for this club and still should be here -
I have got a bit lost here? Who are we blaming for our current plight? Souness or Yorke? It can't be both cause they don't go together

Im so glad I have moved away from Accrington and to the bright lights of University. Its good being educated I can certainly bet that the majority who have posted here are not. I have never heard more self obsessed (us whites we have it so bad ) and uneducated tripe in all of my life.
-
My mother once said to me "Just because it is raining here it Accrington it doesn't mean that its raining at Grandma's in Oswaldtwistle" It blew my mind
-
Houllier failed? He won a treble at Liverpool ffs I suppose that isnt really good enough for the mighty Blackburn Rovers
-
Tripe. I would not want any of those four within 100 miles of Ewood. They are all flawed either as people or as managers. They are out of work and want to get back on the Premiership gravy train. The club is irrelevant. I dont know who I would choose A cantankerous jim or an overrated Venables Out of all the candidates listed it's only El Tel, Reid and McCarthy I dont want as our manager
-
I think 90% of the candidates mentioned have the quality to make this squad succeed. In fact I think any half decent manager could take this team forward, all that was wrong with Souness is that it was time for a change that is all. Hughes, O'Neill (Please!!!) are my two favourites But Hoddle and Strachan wouldnt be bad either

Good post -
Some people have very short memories How far have we come since England 0 - 1 Germany at Wembley I would say a long, long way. We are now rated 7th in the world (FIFA rankings are crap, but still they are the same for everybody) Get behind the team, and whoever says we CANT win the World Cup should think about whether Greece ever COULD be European Champions
-
Tactics?? Who needs tactics? What we need is good old english blood and guts! Get Alf Ramsey back in, we will be sorted! Change the record, Sven is the best manager we could ever have. I love all this we need change but not one person has suggested somebody that could actually do a better job. If Sven is such a bad manager why are half of the clubs of Europe after his services. Good teams come with time not change, just ask Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. There is no need for change and I feel it would be a big mistake and would set us back a few years rather than take us forward

Reason to be positive and stop whining: Last season we would have lost that game, not looked like we were going to win it -

I regularly wear Italian and Dutch shirts, its not that unusual, I imagine many nations respect the quality of our players. Or they like how the shirts look (thats why I buy my non-blackburn shirts) -

I like that, "the mess he has created" I seem to remember when he took over we were spiralling towards Division 2. There is no way we will go down this season, we will beat Southampton and Man Utd. No worries. -
I wouldnt call him up if Bridge and Cole were fit, and even if Bridge isnt fit, Cole is by the better player so there isnt really much point.

why have i had a feeling for the last 3 months that the saints fan is going to be proved correct with that statement? Because he did so amazingly well when we signed him it was always going to be impossible for him to live up to our over inflated expectations of him? He will be good for us, its just a question of whether he will be great. He has already justified his transfer fee -
I also awoke in a hospital bed in June 2002 also with a severe head injury. I hadnt been in a coma but I had been there for 6 days with no recollection of anything before. I had been awake but didnt remember it. It was quite surreal waking up to read that Matt was also in hospital with a similar injury caused by a ******* taxi driver like me. My recovery has been slow, they said I might not ever recover and although it has taken time, it can be done. I started University in September that year and found I could no longer concentrate, I found it really hard just to read a page of a book without becoming distracted, its still quite hard to do now but it can be done. Its only now that I feel 100% back to my old self and I hope that Matt can come good this year and I really believe he can come good. Rovers For Europe (You know its going to happen!)

Reminds me of Burnley 5-0 Short was like a wizard that game -
I agree, I think he was a bad signing. Yes, at the time we needed a striker...but did we really have to spend £7 million on a player that we wouldn't see a return on? It was a poor decision and we will pay for it now because we won't have any money to replace him. People can try to justify it by saying he saved us £20 million by keeping us up...and he may well have done...but we could have spent that £7 million on a much younger player who could have done the same job. Yeah I mean they are practically hanging from the trees arent they? What are you talking about? Cole did a job, cost us 7m saved us 20m and is now off to pastures new. It was a successful relationship (for us more than him) Onward and Upward
