Northumberland is a long way from Teesside! Try North Yorkshire moors or Yarm in Tees dale . That's where Boro footballers tend to live
-
I come from Normanby, on Teesside. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. My dad was born in South Bank, which, whilst it has improved in that they've knocked down the slums, is still the pits
-
For me, with the number of games I miss, next year will be the first time in a long time I'll find a ST good value as I'll be a senior! Lol
-
Better area too. I know those who live here don't rate it but the Boro really isn't attractive and nor are places like South Bank, North Ormesby or other places close by.
-
They'll eat a team will they? Now that's true dedication lol

If it were as simple as cut prices or even just hold them steady at below inflation rises everyone would be doing it. It's more about value for money so it's a blend of right price structure and standard and style of play. When you get it right people come. It's not just the play or the players or why would lower division clubs sell any other than the handful who go out of blind loyalty and habit. It's more about the whole match day package nowadays with other entertainments vying with football for our cash so things like ease of parking, the standard of catering, the availability of a decent place to get a drink or 2 before the match, speed of getting away from the ground afterwards and all sort of other factors come into play.

If its cold his hamstring will go again

Or he might just be meeting him for coffee on his day off?

Who knows? It's all kicked off on the basis of one photo

It seems to me that some have forgotten that for a large part of his tenure Mowbray has been rebuilding not just the team but the club, the fans, the morale around the whole place. He is almost single handedly responsible for our club no longer being one of the laughing stocks of the league and instead being a team other teams are wary of playing. That doesn't make him immune from criticism, but it does buy him a lot 9f goodwill that other recent managers may not have enjoyed.

In most people's opinion on both sides of the brexit divide by all accounts
-
If we brought him in why the heck would it be to loan him out?

Nixon said it was a journalist/agent thing. To stir up interest in players, say 3 clubs are interested. Means it's usually a load of rubbish
-
3 club rule anyway

I've been away for a while

I'd say, whilst we're always only a second away from a Venkys moment of madness, the feeling among fans is that we have a manager we can generally trust and a team of players who try to play even if their ability is limited -
You can do it with cricket matches at Old Trafford and with rugby tickets at Sale. No reason why you can't do it at Rovers
-
I know I keep harping on about it but Sale Sharks put on free shuttle buses from the Trafford Centre to the AJ Bell stadium. Not suggesting Rovers do that but it shouldn't be beyond them to offer low cost transport from some areas, especially those that are caught between 2 clubs. Parking is a nightmare around Ewood and buses would help a lot. Even when I was a kid, extra buses were put on to get fans to Ayresome Park from towns and villages around.
-
From what I saw, there were plenty prepared to pay the double cost. Plenty queueing

It's not going to be that cold tonight
-
Yes it is.

They're not all looking for the same kind of player in the same position though. Some may already have the perfect guy for them at centre back but may be short of an attacking midfielder. Some may be short of just a final piece in their own jigsaw to fit in with players they already have. There are players out there who are available that are what each team needs. It's a cae of identifying them and then all the other bits falling into place. That's why it can take a while but still work out to everyone's benefit
-
They did contact people who'd had season tickets in the past this summer. Thing is, once you no longer have a season ticket it's hard for some people to commit enough to getting value from it.

Millwall away Saturday 12th Jan kick off 17.30
gumboots replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
How is it that when Liverpool scrape a win people say that's the sign of a good side - find a way to win when you're playing poorly and yet when we do that, people say we'd have got hammered by a better side etc. We weren't playing a better side. We were playing Millwall - big and ugly team themselves. And we didn't get hammered - we won. And we kept a clean sheet with a makeshift centre back pairing. I don't care how we win. We won. In the longer term we may need to worry but tonight's for celebration -
Shop window?

You mean I hope we've had a bid for Brownhill accepted and that's the reason Palmer is going in the other direction
