  1. It wont look much fuller than that on match days i suspect
  2. Buttlers thumbis presumably why hes not playing and Bairstow is not a number 4.
  3. Don't drink beer so wouldn't know, and you are talking Clitheroe and a tourist venue. That's the way it goes nowadays.
  4. Ate at Holmes mill in clitheroe today. Was good
  5. I was at old trafford and yorkshire were never really in it apart from roots batting. Im not saying yorkshire should win with a full strength team, just replying to the fact that someone said lancs had a weakened team. Im an oddity anyway in that im a T20 ST holder at old trafford and like watching lancs win, except when yorks come to town. Then i remember my roots(no pun intended) and want yorks to win.
  6. Hang on. That was a yorkshire team without bairstow, Root, Plunkett, Rashid. Weakened Lancs may be but not more so than yorkshire.
  7. Very different now. You should see the wooden chalets on the lakeside. Cost more than my house in clitheroe.
  8. Very nice site. Very quiet where we are. Good owner facilities. Can't complain
  9. We have a caravan on the site at Flookburgh so it's local to us when we're up there
  10. Yorkshire have been rubbish at T20. They are bottom and will almost certainly finish bottom. They do better in the longer forms of the game except injuries to bowlers this season have caused them a lot of problems.
  11. don't know but roses matches usually are
  12. Tom Moores did pretty well on debut. Buck bowled well and Parry was outstanding with figures of 5 for 13 off his 4 overs. Lancs looked like they hadn't got enough on the board at the end of their innings given that Worcestershire are 3rd in the table and win lots of away games, but the lancs bowling and fielding was excellent today and Worcestershire neve got into the match at all.
  13. yes it is a word
  14. Dip in form. Happens to everyone at some point. He was good against Lancs in the T20 and hasn't done it since. Hell bounce back
  15. Yes. Yorkshire managed it by one run. Presumably they had noted the weather forecast
  16. Went to Rogan in Cartmel a couple of weeks ago. We went at lunchtime when they had a set menu (3 choices per course). We hadn't booked and they needed our table for later but they didn't rush us. Portions weren't huge but the food was excellent, both in quality and presentation and at 24.50 for 3 courses, quite reasonable for a restaurant of its type. Wines were not overpriced either. Worth a visit if you're up there
  17. Thing is, I don't see that Kelly or Irvine will hang about anyway if any kind of better offer comes in, and most offers would be preferable to being here. So the idea that Coyle got the job because he was prepared to keep them doesn't hold water. He got it cos he will do as he's told. He was obviously given the nod by the club. Look at the timing of it
  18. The FL are too busy rebranding themselves
  19. Thats why i said certain injuries. You cant legislate for the kind of thing that happened to muamba, for broken legs etc but there are a lot of injuries that occur less often if training is good.
  20. Why were a lot of his players injured. Good managers can be unlucky but certain kinds of injury suggest poor care and training
  21. And do they seriously expect me to watch it?
  22. And we currently have a miles better goal difference than most teams down there. Would take a few hammering to make a dent in that. Not saying it can't happen, but unlokely
  23. Not quite since worryingly morgan was out first ball again
  24. true. But whatever it was he wouldn't need to tell anyone he was enjoying it. The fact he drank it should be enough for that bit to be true
