  1. Your 2nd paragraph says it all, nailed it Slam.
  2. You know what, at times I struggle to understand the enthusiasm for Rovers, I personally can’t see a future until these owners piss off. Then I look at last night, the gate was superb for a Sky live game, nobody saw that coming and these lads, just loving life supporting Rovers. Maybe I have it wrong….
  3. I’m absolutely ecstatic, what a game, superb crowd, new lads are a joy to watch, what’s not to like. Onwards and upwards.
  4. Don't you dare, this is a messageboard setup for debate, if that stops the forum stops. Posters complaining should scroll past of go elsewhere, it’s as simple as that.
  5. Sounds all to familiar doesn't it Mark.....
  6. Mate of mine, Celtic fan, text me on Saturday afternoon after Rangers draw at Hearts: ’That's the season over Gav, good luck next season’ 🤣
  7. I did find footage of the game AT Plymouth in 75, but not the home game. Never seen the Villa game or Coventry a few years later. We also played Forest several times in early to mid 80’s, never seen those either sadly.
  8. Yes not a great ground for us, I’ve been many times and only ever seen us draw. Scott Sellers scored from a corner, the wind was that strong!
  9. Last time I went to Stockport was under Souness I think, but my overriding memory was when we scored a bunch of young kids (around 10yrs old maybe) ran on the pitch. They were immediately apprehended by the stewards and marched towards the gates. At which point all the dads of the said kids also jump over the barriers to be chucked out with the kids! Imagine explaining that one to the Mrs! Bizarre but funny!
  10. Had an average season at Rangers last season, but an exciting player on his day and loves a bit of shithousery! He'll want wages way beyond our reach I fear, think he's looking at going back to Norwich.
  11. I’ve not seen this one before, Rovers masterclass and fans mixed together on Darwen End:
  12. Genuinely shocked at this news. RIP Graham Thorpe
  13. You'll get the same outcomes until the owners leave.
  14. He’s got quality has the lad, but he’s here because he lacks consistency. If he had consistency he’d be playing at a much higher level. Young lad as well, get him signed up.
  15. I remember you telling the us that Posh had: "Pulled our pants down with Sammie Szmodics" "The championship level is to high for Sammie Szmodics" "The lads out of his depth, he just doesn't have it"....... Dolans a decent player in an average team and he's not a little upstart at all, get down to Ewood and take a look.
  16. You would hope more threats from a manager to leave unless he's given the tools to do his job.
  17. Maybe I'm being a little harsh, he did score 11 goals in a relegation season last year, but no goals in a season long loan in Spanish second division and nothing to write home about in Belgium second division (Mill Hill St peters 👍) either. But I wish him luck as we all do.
  18. I did read it and this 'lazy' reference is a contradiction in terms clearly. AA and SS had goalscoring pedigree before they came here, not at Championship level, but they scored goals. This new lad scores goals too, but at Mill Hill St Peters level. Where we can agree is we need goals in this team and fingers crossed the new lads can bring those in abundance.
  19. Hope you're well my friend 👍 We overlapped BBD with Sammi, paid almost £2m and it paid off, we aren't paying £2m now to replace Sammi, Ennis didn't pay off which was a signing of similar ilk. Now we are looking for free transfers with no goal scoring pedigree, big difference. But where I will concede, is despite reservations every time a goalscorer has walked out of the club, we seem to have found another, but that usually comes with a few quid being spent, not sure we have that few quid these days.
  20. Every manager in the country will tell you that you don't win games if you don't score goals and the hardest position to fill is the goal scoring position. Maybe thats lazy opinion too.....
  21. Disgusting Abbey, it really is.
  22. Really?! Over 40 goals from last season are walking through the door before the season starts, what have we replaced them with? That alone should ring alarms bells and I could go on. Its amazing what a few signings can do, but are these players really any good? Why are they coming to a mid table Championship club that doesn't pay very well? I hope I'm wrong, of course I do, but I'm worried, very worried indeed as we are much weaker than last season, no doubt about that.
  23. Couldn't agree more, he's a decent Championship full back who is encouraged to push on, its up to his team mates to cover his postion. Spot on Hasta, we have no ambition on or off the field.
  24. Lets have a Friday afternoon banger:
