  1. @Claytons Left Boot Love those pics from Villa game, the Riverside packed, The Manxman pub in the background, lads sat on the wall at the back. Taking the mighty Aston Villa to a replay, they won the European Cup in 82, great days under Howard Kendall and I loved that shirt. Superb.
  2. This football club will never progress whilst those 3 idiots in Pune are involved. I try not to hate these days, wasted energy, but for king rat and this lot I reserve the right to hate them. What they did to the football club, the town and its people is criminal and I will never forgive and never forget. I'm already planning for 'an extended break' if king rat ever comes back, toothbrush packed. VenkysOut.
  3. He was on plenty of clubs radar, Burnley being one, do keep up.
  4. So did Mark Hughes, he sold them both.
  5. If the goal is to reach the Premiership - It doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get there.
  6. In my opinion, Scott Dann was better than Tiny Taylor, Phil Jones and Tosin too. But we digress.
  7. Captain Hindsight here..... I don't want to move either player on, Brereton is a player, I can see that, Gallagher is being kept out by the Championships top scorer, its good to have options.
  8. The same club that has spent £4.99 on Armstrong and Dack who are now probably worth £30m+ in todays market. Its just a lazy argument concerning Gallagher and Brereton, its time to move on, posters need some new material. By the way Tiny Taylor was an awful centre back, if you think any different that says about your ability to spot a player than anything else, Johansson was a bit better.
  9. Just had an email alert to tell me The Royal Rumble has been bought for later tonight..... Don’t think I’ll be tuning in, but my son tells me a Zoom gathering is on the cards. Hulkamania - Is that still a thing?
  10. Lenihan has all the attributes to be a very good central defender, but for some reason he's not showing that kind of form, but I believe thats more to do with the players around him than anything else. I remember being the loan voice on here at times about Scott Dann, who also had all the attributes, you could see week in week he had that extra bit of quality, but was surrounded by players who didn't have his ability and that reflected bad on him. Needless to say once he left he was exceptional at Palace, surrounded by better players and on the brink of an England call up, he's been in the Premiership since 2014, a very good central defender. Lets hope Tony has pulled another rabbit out of the hat here and that goes on to inspire Lenihan and sure up that defence.
  11. A mate for mine dabbles in crypto currency, for those who aren't familiar with crypto, its like the modern take on stocks and shares, but can be very dodgy as its not really regulated, fortunes are won, lost and robbed in some cases. He's been buying and selling crypto coins for years and is a member of several forums like this one, but for people who are interested in crypto, you have no idea who you're talking to, they could be anyone. He got talking to a chap about 12 months ago, an American who was based in Mexico, the guy was down on his luck and was looking for bus fare back to San Diego to move back in with his parents and start a new crypto platform and coin, yes it is that easy to do. My mate sent this guy $75 for the bus fare and bought him a domain name for his new coin website (Internet address) and didn't think much more about it. They continued to chat and the lad was talking about his new venture, well in December he contacted my mate and gave him 100,000 coins in preparation for the launch last week, to thank him for $75 he was desperate for. The coin launched and the 100,000 coins value came in at just under £10,000! It just goes to show, sometimes you are rewarded for being kind and considerate.
  12. Well deserved, bunch of cheating southern gits.
  13. Kaminski has been a revelation since he joined, I thought we'd made a mistake selling Raya, but he's a much better keeper, absolute quality. Tony can spot a player, no doubt about that, with a £15m striker in Armstrong plucked for next to nothing and Dack probably worth similar money when back to full fitness, even Brereton has started to show why we paid decent money for him, his transfer dealings have been exceptional in the key positions. Players coming back to full fitness too, we couldn't could we?
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j6ZY4h0oGo Couldn't agree more, if the 2 Shearer goals at Palace in the first game didn't convince anyone, the goal and win against Arsenal certainly did. We had arrived Boroblue 👍
  15. Derby in playoffs 1992 - bit dusty too
  16. Blackburn End turnstiles
  17. I had never seen this Rovers team picture before, 1890's
  18. Beechwood working men’s club Little Harwood aged 14/15 - Pernod, started on the hard stuff.
  19. He's probably the only manager, that we could potentially attract, that I'd sack Mowbray for right now. My Middlesbrough colleagues would gladly drive him down here after last nights debacle too. Boro have lost 3 on the bounce at home in the league - Birmingham, Rovers and Rotherham, they also lost at Hillsborough recently. The pitch forks would out if Mowbray had done the same.
  20. The Jubilee had a great jukebox, proper lads football pub too at times over the years.
  21. You don't have access to my email I assume frosty.... What would your reaction be to a 0-3 home loss to Rotherham?
  22. Middlesbrough fans wanting Warnock out tonight. ‘losing 0-3 at home Rotherham, sack the ***’ The grass isn’t always greener.
  23. The Navigation - A match day stop off point to and from Mill Hill station
  24. Mullards 1970's - One for the engineers
