I'm around 30 miles East of Old Trafford which is bathed in sunshine, here its grey cloud, no chance of blue sky here today! England to bat first.
-
Looking forward to the decider against the Aussies today, definitely a day to win the toss and bowl first for me, overcast conditions.
-
I've got a confession to make, I loved watching Warner captain the Sunrisers, winning the tournament in 2016. I can't t stand the arrogant Aussie swine in green and gold, but his performances for Sunrises have been superb, I really warmed to the cheating git. Its a great tournament, decent times for UK viewers also, the Sunday double headers, great stuff.

I noticed the IPL was back Asia, from UAE, when did they sneak that back in? Completely passed me by....but looking forward to it.

4 Yorkshire players withdrawn from tonight’s T20 because Covid tests haven’t come back, it’s seems like sport isn’t immune to testing issues either.
-
Pitch hasn’t been easy, but middle order have been awful.

Chance here den

Going to struggle to defend this score though den, it’s a pity Archer can’t bowl 20 overs. Lovely evening in Manchester.

Alan Minter has sadly died, I’ll never forget him fighting Hagler, I think it was at Wembley. What a superb division, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Minter and Sugar Ray - and let’s not forget Harry Carpenter. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/54107864 Superb era.

Aussies threw that away, worrying for the series, they’ve not played for 5 months!
-
Someone needs to tell Archer he’ll get another 2/3mph if he takes the bling off. KP commentary is bloody awful also, great batsman, awful commentator, patronising. I’d probably not care if we’d have a chance of winning......

Made it look easy.

Mohammed Hafeez has just spanked our bowling attack around Manchester. Our makeshift batting lineup is going to have to go some to get anywhere near this total.
-
Messi seen outside Turd Moor. Not the player it’s just covered in shit

Just noticed that this afternoons T20 - England v Pakistan is live on BBC1.

How good was Mark Grew? Loaned from Port Vale, we could do with him now.

Just driven through Denby Dale and what’s the first thing I see? Rovers shirts, lad and his dad. Thats enough to brighten up anyone’s day on a miserable rainy afternoon.

The State of Ewood Park!
Gav replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Aren't the weeds and beer bottles outside of the Ewood Park footprint? They're taken at the back of the houses in between the backyards and the fence, isn't that council land? The point still stands regardless, the place looks shabby. -
Superb theatre when its close, I couldn't agree more gumboots. Even with only 4 runs required I was worried, those Pakistani bowlers have mystic powers at times with a ball, tremendous skill. Next test starts Thursday, really looking forward to it.
-
Dare I say it, the Pakistan bowling attack looks a little ordinary now the balls gotten older, as a posed to earlier when every ball was a tester. Great viewing.
-
Got to say matt I think its been an enthralling start to the test series, if you're a neutral! Pakistan never fail to deliver, they're always competitive and we've seen that in spades over the past couple of days, some great fast bowling and spin, skilful stuff, great to watch. Then for England we have Ollie Pope, that lad should be a permanent fixture in the test team for me, he has everything to be a top class batsman. But I agree fully with your comments on England, sloppy, poor in the field, they've got a lot of work to do to turn this around.

I was going to have a listen until you said that........

I’ll be honest with you EA, I think you’re taking the piss. Youve offered nothing to support your argument other than to critique mine. Why isn’t Botham one of the greatest cricketers to play the game?
-
Let’s just you’re right for a minute and Botham is in the top 10 greatest all rounders to have ever played the game, so since 1880, that still qualifies him as one of the greatest cricketers ever to play the game doesn’t it?
