Because he's a ****.

I've certainly got some sympathy for the fans and plenty for Dave Whelan, but that **** of a manager deserves everything thats coming his way, the sack hopefully.

Nice write up in the Telegraph about Danny Graham: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18606621.rovers-danny-graham-gamble-proved-nothing-sort/ The striking position is the hardest position on the pitch to fill as a manager, although some would say the keeper this season......This is one of the reasons why I could never understand posters hammering Rhodes week in week out "All he does is score goals" yes and bleedin lots of em, exactly what he's paid to do! Danny Graham was a bit of a love hate figure for me, sometimes he looked laboured, unfit and not interested, then he'd go on a scoring run and all would be well in the world again. Very good servant to the club in difficult times, will be fondly remembered, in our house at least.

Fingers crossed dareenrover - I'd take administration and relegation to league 2 now if it gets rid of The 3 stooges in Pune. As many posters are alluding to, we're going nowhere under the current regime and I firmly believe changing manager will have zero impact in the grand scheme of things. Its the owners we need out.

Mowbrays going nowhere, so lets hope that over these next few weeks we can Dack back in some sort of shape, give the rest of the squad time to shake of any knocks, replace the keeper as a matter if urgency and do a little cattle trading. This thread has 267 pages, we have another thread around a similar theme and so far I've only seen 2 posts that in my opinion make any sense in replacing Mowbray. Cowley brothers is one - Young, up and coming, a desire to succeed. Gareth Ainsworth - Lots of experience, still young, local lad, Rovers fan. The rest are no better and offer nothing different to Tony.

Shane Warne - Not good enough for Accy? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/53465043

I see Josephine Cox has died, accomplished author from Blackburn https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/18595208.blackburn-born-writer-sold-20-million-books-josephine-cox-dies-82/ My condolences to her family.

I think £3m was about right Miller, Dracula was more interested in crosses than Raya.
-
Look at the players that have come through the place since Judge was on the books, then tell me they're not a world away from us. They've spent £25m in the last 3 seasons I think, massive money compared to us, but you carry on cherry picking. We're not Leeds, or Brentford or West Borm, we're Blackburn Rovers owned by ferking idiots and until that changes or money is produced we're going nowhere.
-
Raya has every chance of playing Premiership football next season, his value was about right for me, very good keeper Miller. Brentford are a world away from a modern day Blackburn Rovers and have been for years to be honest, thats just being realistic.
-
What has profit got to do with anything? They've spent £25m in the past few seasons alone, that coupled with the correct manager in place means they're this seasons champions. Mowbray had spent £1.99 during his time here in comparison, its not rocket science EA.
-
Mowbray sold Raya, who was a key player. You also need to have a look at the money Leeds have spent over the past few seasons, it makes our £9m net look like peanuts. Udders yes, Warnock yes, but I'll give you another 20 examples of failure. Bottom line for me is we are a million miles away from the Premiership, the clubs a basket case with small shoots of recovery under Mowbray and Waggot. I think we need to build on those small shoots.
-
How about the rest of the Championship managers who do nothing season in season out? Or how about the 60+ managers in the football league who do nothing season in season out? We can all cherry pick, but it adds nothing to the debate surrounding Blackburn Rovers 2020.
-
Mowbray also knows how to win promotion from the championship, as champions. But you need money, significant amounts, which neither man will get.
-
We'd all like a Wilder type, someone who can gain promotion with £10/15m, but the stars have to align and sadly its been cloudy over Ewood for 10yrs now.... The list of managers we've had on our wish list ranges from the ridiculous to the sublime, Steve Evens was once championed, Coyle also, Mark Warburton was a site favourite, Jaap Stam, Wee Doughie, we've had them all, usually when they've strung a few wins together, but most disappear into into obscurity We had our chance with Warnock, inexcusably we blew that chance and we are where we are.

Not a Tv series but I watched 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri again last night on C4, went to the pictures to see it back in 2017. Absolutely superb film, I can't find enough superlatives to describe it, has you laughing one minute and crying the next. (Not me crying obviously, because I'm a tough working class Lancastrian ) Probably the best film I've seen in 10yrs, certainly rivals Django Unchained, both in my top 10 best films ever.

Why on earth would anyone want Damien Johnson as first team manager? What criteria do you base that decision on? If someone said Gareth Ainsworth I could understand why, but a rookie coach with no experience, we've been down that road before and been burnt, badly. No thanks.
-
Can you send him another text and ask him if he's been in the boozer all afternoon
-
Lads out of his depth philip - needs replacing asap.
-
The entertainers - free flowing football, lots of goals, 3 points, what more can you ask for?
-
Absolute steal that Ben Brereton

Even now I couldn’t be in the same space as that **** and not have a ‘word’. I try not to hate, it’s wasted energy, but I hate that ****, with a passion.
-
The buck ultimately stops with the manager, but the purchase of BB didn't feel right then and doesn't feel right now. Gallagher is a replacement for Graham, that makes sense to me, but BB, I'm not sure whats gone on there...
-
But it does show that the money is insignificant by today's standards, but that doesn't excuse it being seemingly spent badly.
-
Everyone talks about this £12m like it should have propelled us to the Premiership had it been spent better. Part of it was funded by Raya, so it was actually £9m, spent in isolation seasons apart, chump change in the grand scheme of things. Could it have been spent better, on the face of it absolutely, but its not the reason to sack the manager for me.
