Interesting that the Manny Pacquiao/Timothy Bradley Jr. fight passed us by almost unnoticed last night! Manny says he's now retiring after putting on a vintage performance against Bradley, report here: http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/15174152/manny-pacquiao-outpoints-timothy-bradley-jr-final-fight

I disagree about Haye, the mans all hype as we saw when he fought Klitschko, but I agree its an interesting domestic division on the world stage if you get my drift. Joshua could dominate the division for years to come if his career is managed correctly, interesting division domestically for sure. I just watched a short documentary about Joe Calzaghe, what a champion he was, heart, dedication, boxing skill and craft, just the real deal, a credit to the sport of boxing.

Fury deserves credit, not respect, for doing a number on Klitschko, no doubt about that. His tactics on the night didn't seem to be about boxing his opponent at all and I'm not sure he could replicate the footwork again if required, but he got the job done, credit to him. Maybe I'll watch the fight again, only seen it once, I may see things differently. But hey it's all about opinions donnermeat, wouldn't do for us all to agree all of the time pal.

Didn't Joshua win a gold medal as an amature, also was awarded an MBE?I've absolutely no problem with boxers that court controversy, Mayweathers a wife beater, a complete loony, but as a boxer I respect the guy. Tyson has a rap sheet as long as the queue for tickets for a Burnley home game (and that's long) but as a boxer he was absolutely superb in his pomp. But Fury is an embarrassment to the sport, won the title by hitting Klitschko 80 times and thinks women should be in the kitchen or on their backs, he's an idiot with a platform beyond his intelect.
-
Give me an Anthony Joshua any day over a Tyson Fury. I agree the division needed a shake up, but not by someone who talked more than he punched. Fury is an embarrassment to the sport, the sooner he retires the better.

Fury v Klitschko rematch set for July 9th, although the Klitschko camp are yet to confirm. Fingers crossed Klitschko brings some order back to the division and takes those belts back off Fury, the mans an embarrassment to the sport.

It was said in commentary that the bowling coach was probably the man that suggested Root open, but when Chris Gayle never opened the batting, that wasn't a given, and bottom line is Morgans the captain and ultimately has the final say, so he deserves some credit. But hey its not worth rowing over, we lost, I can accept that, if only Rovers had as bright a future as Stokes and England cricket team
-
I think you're being a bit harsh on Morgan, his bowling options and field placing has been exceptional this tournament, sadly his batting has not. He took the decision to put Root up with the new ball, masterstroke, got us back in the game only for Stokes to bottle it. I'd also like to know why Hayles was off the field when the sub fielder put down that catch, that decision alone could have cost us the match.

Golden boy brought down to earth with an almighty crash, shocking by Stokes.

Couldn't help themselves, had to try and smack Root out of the ground. In with a chance now, a slim chance but a chance.

Barry Gray is all over radio 2 at the moment EIT, Janis Long had Blackburn as a theme on her show on radio 2 Weds night at midnight, you catch it on the iplayer. Stuart Maconie's freakier zone on Radion 6 also has the music of Barry Gray, thats available for 23 days. You mentioned him, and having never heard of the chap myself his names cropping up everywhere! -
Lost the toss, history shows we're up against it. Darren Sammy has now won 10 on the bounce. Come on England, lets get 200+ and make a game of it.
-
You can almost hear a pin drop in Mumbai, the Windies look like they're going to win this.
-
Morgan took a very good catch and got his bowling options spot on for me. His batting is a concern, but he has more to his game than just batting.

Posting on the move with predictive text is never good, but you get the drift. Great win.

Superb win against a very good New Zealand side who came into the game unbeaten. India in the final, if they make it, will be a different proposition, I'm really looking forward to it. Well done England.

Steve Pemberton was born in Blackburn I think, had a very good TV career so far. -
Struggling now, but Ali balling well. Terrific balling by England towards the back end of the innings, puts us in a great position.

Another thread destroyed with petty bullsh1t, EIT and the topic in general deserve better.
