  1. Courteeners in Manchester on Tuesday night, looking forward to it.
  2. In between Days - The Cure
  3. Both camps have been talking up a rematch, but the sticking point could be the venue. It sounds to me like the venue is contracted back in Germany but the Fury camp want it back in the UK or Ireland. I feel they'll avoid Klitchko altogether if the lawyers can pull it off, surely Vlad won't be that bad second time around, then again maybe he's just 'shot' who knows.
  4. I've high hopes for AJ, as long as he keeps his feet on the ground and the team around him don't rush him, he could well dominate the division in years to come and hopefully destroy that clown Fury in the process if Haye doesn't beat him to it.
  5. Nowhere man - The Beatles
  6. Mirror man - Human League
  7. James Degale went almost unnoticed last night fighting Lucian Bute in Canada and came away with what looks on paper to be a credible point victory, did anyone see the fight? Degale talking about Badou Jack next year in Vegas, the conquer of George Groves, Eubank Jnr possibly, or dropping down and fighting Golovkin, but surely he'll be advised to avoid him like the plague, then we have Froch who is still talking about fighting, so who knows.
  8. I've told you what I think, your post lacks class, we all comment on most subjects we're not experts in, by your own admission above you do not, you're an expert, so I'll be careful in future and keep an eye out going forward 😉 Let's not spoil the thread by trading insults.
  9. You come across as a bit of a smart arse if you don't mind me saying so. I love boxing and have never professed to be anything other than a keen amature observer, so why on earth you see the need to trawl through posts from the past is anyone's guess, shows a lack of class really. Fury stunned the boxing world, every pro commentator I heard called it Klitchko, but you had Fury, good effort from both of you....
  10. Absolutely stunned...... My Mrs would have battered him, but all credit to him, absolute respect to the guy.
  11. Why is Roy Jones Jnr fighting at all, let alone fighting Enzo Macraglasschinelli?
  12. Plenty on sale outside if you're desperate to see them.
  13. Mate of mine went to the Liverpool gig on Saturday and said its the best gig he's been to in years.
  14. Haye was embarrassing against Klitchko, hype hype and more hype, money money and more money being his motivation, a fraud in my opinion. Bit harsh maybe but I felt so let down by him after all the talk before the Klitchko fight. Give me Carl Froch any day of the week.
  15. I know plenty doing Preston on Saturday then off to Liverpool for New Order in the evening, cracking day out that. Pity I'm not going to either 😢
  16. I thought the international last weekend against NZ was the most boring rugby league game I've ever seen, think the crowd thought the same. Let's hope this weekends is a bit more lively, I'm sure the crowd will be.
  17. Fury is just a joke, no good for the sport in my opinion. Yes he's got to sell the fight but the guys a clown, shouldn't be in the same city as Klitchko never mind the same ring. Shows just how poor the division is. Let's hope Joshua takes his time and doesn't get careless or greedy, he's got great potential and could go all the way.
  18. Froch talking about coming back to fight DeGale, if DeGale manages to beat Bute which certainly isn't a given. Must admit to being a big Froch fan, took a bit of time to get me onside, but he's a throwback, a crowd pleaser and if he's still got that desire then people will pay to watch him.
  19. Stone Rose - 2 nights at Man City next summer. Hope they release a new album, or its just another money maker.
  20. House of Love - Robert Plant

Must say I don't recall the Villa game, but vividly remember the Coventry one and the terrible brown kit blueboy mentions above I don't think Coventry turned up that day, we never looked in trouble all afternoon and breezed into the next round.

I was in the Riverside when Atkins put through his home net against Liverpool late 80's, so we share similar heartache pal

Took thousands to Villa, we took similar numbers in the late 80's when Kennedy scored early doors, and yes 30k on Ewood for the first game, was it Allan Evans that equalized? Seem to recall we played Forest under Saxton, took them to replay also I think. Still great times under Howard, a true Rovers legend.

The FA Cup run beating Coventry and then taking the future European Champs Villa to a reply, yes great days indeed.
