Having spent far too much time in the brothels in Turkey Debs fancies going somewhere similar because if nothing else you'll end up with numerous tales to tell of £15 halves of larger and £10 plates of cheese! Waggy! Me I fancy a trip to the med, where the sun shines bright until the end of October and the beers cheap. Roll on Tuesday

The guys a Genius. Debs another Grande Stella please..............

Even in his younger days players ran past him like he wasn't there, its not an age thing he's not that type of player and never has been. I take your point but clearly we're a better footballing side when Tugay is playing and against the better sides that allow us to play football he still has a role to play for me. We need a replacement and quick. My thoughts on Dunn are well documented but if he can make the step up we have a ready made replacement and he wants to come back. Unfortunately he's not had a decent season since our promotion season from the championship so he's got a lot of work to do to make the grade. David its over to you..........

A very controversial statement Exiled Rover, I guess you're mainly referring to the City game where tactically we were inept. Tugay has a place in our midfield but tactics have to be right to accommodate him. His contribution is still top notch for me and we have nobody else who can see a pass like Tugay, in fact not many teams in the Premiership have a player who an see a pass like Tugay. Sign him up.

Didn't burnleys gates drop by approx 10-15k over a 10yr period from the mid 70's to mid 80's? I think you'll find any debate on supporters loyalty will be well and truly won if you raise that point. They have a fixation on attendances that stands up well against the Stockport’s and Burys of this world but once you point out a few conveniently forgotten facts they run for the history books and its spin spin spin. Muppets.

Tell you what I'm like a kid at Christmas I love European nights home or away Home early from work and a few beers before the game you just can't beat it. Lets hope we progress.
-
Agreed, in fact nobody travels like Celtic and Rangers fans anywhere else in the world
-
Is that right? you'd not expect many more I guess as teams on mainland Europe don't travel like the English.
-
I wonder if the Salzburg fans are gathering in a local watering hall like we did over there. Haunts such as the Fox and hounds, Moorgate and white bull will be short on Red bull come the close of business tonight!

Right what about a pub on Wednesday? Are we going for the massive Austrian beer garden during the day and the Irish pub at night?

Can honestly say it was the worst day of my footballing life

Whilst I don't think Neill is intentionally making mistake after mistake, clearly his contribution so far this season has been pathetic. I think Hughes has made a big mistake making him captain especially after he came out and expressed a desire to leave. My patience with the guy ran out today and I think he's in for a rough ride between now and Christmas from the fans. That aside we should be beating teams like Sheff Utd, but we always struggle against relegation fodder. A point today is better than nothing so we should be greatful for that. Roll on Salzburg -
So I get up this morning, open the post and have received the clubs official guide to Salzburg. Flick on to the first page and what do I see: Tris's ugly mug.........spoiled my breakfast I can tell you

We've all said stupid things when being under the influence. I applaud him for taking a p**s, can you imagine Rooney’s face with a popped up Gray asking his misses for a threesome Cheeky git

Get some work done.

Never liked the guy because I never saw him once acknowledge the supporters either at home or away. He was always the first down the tunnel and it left a sour taste in the mouth. But I’d rather have him than someone who refused to wear the shirt and throws his toys out of the pram every time he's dropped.

Hughes said on Radio Lancs last night that he'll probably not feature this weekend due to him missing his flight back to England after international duty. Silly boy.....

You'll be fine for Dutch clubs Capt

I think I’d sobered up by halftime after getting wasted the night before and much of the day of the game. Can't believe you're not making the trip to Salzburg, you're in mainland Europe get on the train for the day man --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Sep 6 2006, 15:57 ) 442865[/snapback] Some more proper boozers rather than Irish Bars - http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/salzburg.htm Lets pick one make a plan to meet the night before the game.

Still plenty of alternatives if you're willing to go out of your way a bit. Flights from Stanstead are still an option and not overly expensive, you can also fly from Blackpool to Stanstead with good connection times to Germany then a short train ride. But as has been said already, be quick as tickets have almost gone. The support will be close to the numbers we took to Lyon, anyone who was there will confirm that was a great trip and the support that night was excellent.

Reading all the cr@p on the travel thread it certainly pays to organize your own transport. We were considering a new banner but didn't get around to ordering it so maybe for a later round if we get through. The other consideration was what to have printed on the thing? Wanted something original? Or something derogatory aimed at our claret friends, small town in europe is a great idea but thats already been done.........
