  1. The Bee Gees - I've gotta get a message to you
  2. I'm new to this so hopefully: Town called Malice - The Jam
  3. Amazing when you think about it jodrell, Bowie playing Blackburn
  4. I guess Barrera and Judah are notable scalps but let's face it Barrera was well past his sell by date so you have a point. I just think Khans been mixing at a much higher level and looked superb last time out against Alexander. I think he probably feels Brook needs a few more decent fights before he's earned the right to fight him, but we'll see.
  5. I don't think Khan fancies it because Brooks not really got any major scalps on his record, so not really served his time. But then again if the moneys right I'm sure he'll forget all that.
  6. Just watched Kel Brook put in a great performance against Jo Jo Dan. He looks the real deal, be interesting to see if Khan fancies a big payday to fight him at Wembley. Brook sold out the Sheffield arena tonight, tremendous ticket sales.
  7. Great value. I can't think of another fight that will come even close to this one, now or in the future to be honest, pay the £20.
  8. Predictive text on iPhone, but you're now a fully paid up member of the spelling police.
  9. I thought this was a resturant thread....
  10. Seconded, great pub and food. You've got a mate!
  11. Sharjan can be full of the ribble valleys finest, talking about how much money they have and generally being rude to the staff, puts me right off. But the food is very good.
  12. Problem with Anaz for me is all the curries are taste the same, as they're seemingly sourced from the same base. Anaz is fine if you eat the same food each time you go, but if you try different options its a bit dissapointing. But I would never put anyone off, good curry house, Darwen is blessed with food curry houses.
  13. Naga and Resh's are 2 of the best in the area for me, sad to hear about Reshs closing but these things happen.
  14. Just that bit to young sadly, great bands when KGH/Blackburn was on the circuit, didn;t Bowie play here also? To their credit KGH is doing a great job in attracting artists/bands back to the town, Paul Weller being the latest and long may it continue.
  15. You've got me all wrong Gordon, but i'm sure its not the first or last time you'll be wrong
  16. Heard nothing but good things since the refurbishment, will have to give it a try CLB. Went to San Carlos in Birmingham last week which is owmed by the same people that own the Manchester one, very disappointed. The Manchester restaurant is absolutely fantastic IMO, never had a bad meal, spot on every time I've been, same can't be said for the Brum branch. Hardly any staff, which is in stark contrast to the Manchester branch which has more staff thatn customers! Signature lobster dish was awful, chewy overcooked lobster and far too much tomato, and the toilets were disgusting. Won't be going again.
  17. I fancied going over, not to actually get into MGM Grand as you'd have no chance, but just to enjoy the atmosphere, nothing like Vegas leading up to a massive fight. But the flights have gone through the roof, over £1000 now and the hotel rooms are obviously expensive, so I'm giving it a miss.
  18. Brilliant!Remember debs asking for diet coke first of all, then slimline tonic in the Fox and Hounds a few seasons back: "We're the fox and hounds love, A PUB, we serve beer and sprits only" Classic!
  19. We're currently in the states and was talking to a massive Beatles fan from Lubbock Texas (where Buddy Holly was born) and he was telling us that Paul McCartneys playing in Lubbock in the next few weeks and tickets are priced at $680 each, that's about £425! And it sold out in 23 minutes all 12k seats. Now I can appreciate the Beatles and what they did for music, but over £400 to watch a man that can't sing anymore......supply on demand I guess but I stopped short of telling this guy he was being robbed. Talk about ripping your fans off and cashing in, I've even less respect for him than I had before.
  20. Another thread on its way out due to this muppet, mods sort it out please.
  21. I find you a touch bizarre TJ. A great find indeed Vintage, we'll be back for more.
  22. I had mushroom ravioli with black truffle and mushroom sauce to start followed by the burger. Debs had Beetroot 3 ways followed by piri piri chicken. Superb
  23. Gave this a try last week in the recommendation from vintage and I have to say it was superb. The building from the outside looks nothing special but as soon as you walk through the front door you feel like you're in central London not St Annes. Food was top quality, very well presented and not too expensive. If you're in the area at least nip in for a drink, you'll not be disappointed.
  24. Didn't get over to the grand sadly but will next time. Have you tried the Cartford Inn at Great Eccleston, fantastic, best pub food I've had in years.
