  1. I see Emre has been ruled out of action for 6 weeks with a hamstring tear
  2. I think you'll find many supporters from lower division teams visiting the JJB this season just to watch premiership football at Championship prices which has me a little worried.
  3. I wonder if this is something that the ISA could try to get involved in when things are up and running. It's not a big thing in the grand scheme but could be an ideal project to launch and get the ISA noticed? Obviously support for change would need to gaged but could be of interest, or am i barking up the wrong tree as to what the ISA is about? Just a thought.
  4. The quality of music played on a match day has always been extremely poor and I feel something needs to be done to change this trend. The opening music that the team comes out to is embarrassing and with numerous decent tunes around why can't we be a little more cutting edge in this regard? I know GiddyGoat feels like me we should be coming out to something along the lines of "I predict a riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs, what an uplifting, up to date track that would certainly get some of the younger fans up for the job in hand and create a decent atmosphere from the off. I've mentioned before about Leeds coming out to "Born Slippy" from trainspotting and although they've never struggled with creating an atmosphere at Elland Rod it helped to get it going. Won't hold me breath but I think it’s a must to get the atmosphere going from the outset.
  5. I think that'll be a good indicator as to how many they'll get against the big boys over the season. Anything under 20k and its money in the bank......
  6. They'll have had thousands out there you can bet on that......
  7. Today I was offered a bet that made me stop and think. Usually I’m more than willing to back my judgement when it comes to backing Blackburn Rovers but this bet got me thinking......... Wigan's average gate over the season will be bigger than ours? i obviously disagreed. To be even thinking about it shows just how far our home support has declined in recent times. Should I take the bet or not......... £50.
  8. I'd have thought Fulham would sell the least amount in the Premiership.
  9. £180 each for the weekend.....Ummmmm?
  10. Cheers Lee, I'll have a look.
  11. Which airlines and to where is everyone flying? Getting itchy feet may come over.
  12. Fantastic! So what does that have to do with Blackburn rovers..............? With the away section being sold out, don't even try to buy tickets in the home end? A place of prominence but useless to boot
  13. I wonder if Bellamy will play against Morcambe this weekend?
  14. Then possibly Lazio
  15. Do we have a bar code on the site Can I ask you a couple of questions? You are labelled the best fans in the country, through thick and thin, yet on my visit in 198? You had around 16k on? How do you explain this? You've spent hundreds of millions of pounds and won F ALL, how does that feel? You have a manager who will run out of ideas after 18months, who'll be the next man in charge to flog the proverbial dead horse? Fat Freddy called you lot stupid for buying £5 shirts for £39, yet shirt sales are again through the roof, he was right wasn't he.......
  16. You don't look a day over 21 RB
  17. Can I claim expenses for members staying at my house??????
  18. Tell you what you can't rely on anyone down there to tell the bloody truth, my information came from deep within the walls of power as well
  19. I heard a rumour that the european side visiting ewood will be Racing Santander.
  20. Cole was bought to score goals and if you look at it in that context yes he did very little but being told to run the channels, which isn't his game, he worked his socks off and played very well indeed for me the season he left. I'd welcome him back with open arms although I fear many won't as he's past his best. As for Stead, he wasn't good enough but has something that may develop with time; unfortunately we don't have that time. Good luck and thanks for keeping us up.
  21. I'm sure most people on this site realise that we're currently in a very depressing downward trend in terms of season ticket sales. In my opinion we'll struggle to sell 13,000 this time around and home attendances will again take a hit like they've done for the past few years. Many reasons can be put forward as to why we can't put bums on seats but undoubtedly the rubbish we've been watching recently is a major factor above all else I’d say. Even with reduced prices people just don't come to Ewood anymore and that’s a big worry. I look around the league at teams with similar aspirations to us: Bolton are going to sell-out of season tickets and are putting people on a waiting list. Charlton are increasing the ground capacity because they can't fit everyone in that wants to come. Why the hell are we not able to do the same? Or even get 25k home fans through the gate for the bigger games? We've had far more success in recent times than either of the teams mentioned but yet were getting out supported.... Like BF has already mentioned if you can't sell season tickets you'll not sign player like McCarthy or bellamy, we'll end up with Marcus bent again or someone of his ability. It’s about time the town woke up to the realisation that we're not going to survive in this league without they're support. Unfortunately I can see us back in the championship in 3-4yrs time because we just can't continue like we are and gates falling is a major factor in this. Maybe the championship is actually our level in terms of support and wages to reflect that support....... If we go down it'll be to late so we need the Blackburn public to act now. PS, Would never happen but an open letter in the Telegraph spelling out the need for the Blackburn public to come back to Ewood or face a very uncertain future in the top flight may prick a few consciences?
  22. Just been to the ticket office and 7000 been sold Lets hope plenty turn up on the night because to be honest 7000 is disgusting.
  23. I'm just wondering if anyone else fears for the future of Blackburn Rovers like i do? Gates are falling worryingly, and now people just can't be arsed to turn out for what is being billed as a championship reunion party? What the club achieved back in 1995 was nothing short of remarkable yet people just don't give a toss anymore and this attitude has been evident for the past few years with the falling gates. Debs says i've been working in burnley to long but i'm starting to worry that burnley will sell more season tickets than we will, they've sold around 8500 so far....... I fear for our club i really do.
  24. She'd never been to Rovers before she met me!
