  1. I think I went to that game, did Palace score a last minute equaliser? Could have been the season before.
  2. I was upset when Phil Jones left, I felt he could have given a bit more to the club he supported as a lad, but he clearly knew behind the scenes was an absolute shambles and I was wrong, he got out as soon as he could, the right decision. Adam Wharton never had a choice, he was sold as soon as a bid came in, he was forced out of the club due to court cases and lack of funding. Its an absolute travesty that makes me question what the point is anymore. I'm made up for the lad, always good to see a local lad doing well, but as 47er very eloquently says above: Is it possible to feel pride and deep sadness at the same time? I think so too. Venkys out - Nothing else matters
  3. We are a below par championship club.... We shouldn't be looking to get rid of player like Dolan because we he have zero funds to replace them with. He's only young, 23yrs old I believe and at times shows flashes of real quality. Get him signed up.
  4. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/articles/c2qqwvwzp5zo Sad news today that Rob Burrow has passed away after a 5yrs battle with motor neurone disease, he was only 41. My thoughts are with Rob and his family and with his best mate Kevin Sinfield. RIP Rob, a rugby league great.
  5. Got this album on right now from The Rifles 2006, If you like Weller and The Jam, its a must. They're playing in Sheffield soon on the Richard Hawley Rock n Roll Circus gig at Don Valley.
  6. Ordered a pair last night after a few tipples....... I'm not a big fan of Adidas Spezial to be honest, to many about, I may just keep them in the box with these: Did anyone buy a pair of these back in the day? Adidas Darwen? Never met anyone who got a pair.
  7. More boxing tomorrow night with Matchroom v Queensbury promotions on DAZN. Wilder v Zhang Hrgovic v Dubois Raymond Ford v Nick Ball Austin Williams v Hamzah Sheeraz Craig Richards v Willy Hutchinson
  8. We will rise again my friend, the clock is ticking on these bastards in Pune. Great post, we have many more like you.
  9. Well its good to see season tickets flying off the shelves, even though its still early days. Last season saw an increase in season ticket sales on the back of a very good season under JDT, as always the Blackburn public will respond if the product on the pitch is worth supporting, hence why I expect a decrease in sales this season. Time will tell.
  10. I draw the line when it’s our own players….
  11. Quite right to. We don't have much of an identity left after 14yrs of these swines, but hating those bastards down M65 is still going strong and long may it continue.
  12. Chorley Chorley Chorley
  13. Gallagher and Le Saux debuts, I remember it like it was yesterday.
  14. Our season ticket sales went up last season too. We can all moan and groan, I’m as guilty as the rest, but the numbers don’t lie.
  15. Josh Taylor looked a shot fighter against Lopez in his last outing, fingers crossed Catterall can shut him up this time around.
  16. Its a shame that 47er, fingers crossed it will be picked up again after the election.
  17. Its great value to be honest Miller11 The cheapest adult season ticket at Hillsborough right now is £565, the same seat: Under 25 £431.00 Over 65 £321.00 Under 21 £321.00 Armed Forces £321.00 Student £321.00 Under 17 £221.00 Under 11 £141.00 Carer £0.00 Disabled £321.00
  18. https://kiefersutherland.com/ I noticed Kiefer Sutherlands band are playing at Leadmill in Sheffield in August, country blues, £35 a ticket. Think I may nip along to that one.
  19. Grimsby v Rovers under Howard Kendall, footage I’ve never seen before and an away shirt I don’t recognise either! Starts around 2.50mins in.
  20. Awful scoring, but right result. All our lot had the draw, the beer table almost went over when the last judges scorecard was read out.
  21. John clearly knows the budget already…
  22. Was very good for Sheff Utd in the promotion season, if it’s the same lad, but out of our budget. Sheff Utd aren’t accepting magic beans as currency.
  23. I know Broughton has had a lot of stick on here, much of it unwarranted in my opinion. He was brought in at a time of real crisis for the club. Mowbray had left, so had many of the 1st team players, manager after manager turning down the top job, no time to work with the incumbent on a plan for the following season and then he helped pull the JDT rabbit out of the hat, followed by the signature of Sammie/Hyam. That first season took everyone by surprise, some of the football was a joy to watch and the team looked rejuvenated by JDT and in no small part to the additions brought in by Broughton. Venkys must have panicked as the team looked like making the Championship playoffs, sadly just missing out in the end. That summer the owners took centre stage once again, one minute Broughton has a budget, then that is slashed, then slashed again, "free transfers Gregg, work your magic"...... oh yes and "We'll be selling Adam Wharton should a decent bid come in, let JDT know will you" ......any the plans to build on the back of the previous season are scuppered, turmoil behind the scenes, job done once again by these abhorrent owners. Anyone working under these conditions deserves a medal, money alone wouldn't be enough for me. I wish him well to be honest, he's just another in a long line of people who have been shit on by these owners and as fans many must be asking themselves, is it really worth it anymore? I don't think so until these rats piss off. VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS
  24. How can we be in decent shape if we need 7/8 quality signings? That is more or less a new team chaddy and I don’t disagree with you.
