  1. I remember being told a story from a bloke I used to work with, who travelling from Blackburn over the boundary into Darwen (Golden Cup) for an extra 30 minutes drinking time, as they have a different rules back in the day. Not sure if that was true or not, I never questioned him, he was a nutter. His cousin once carried a piano up Montague Street, on his back for charity, covered on Granada reports, bare knuckle fighter too. Characters eh? You get many of them these days.
  2. Netherlands have just hammered South Africa in the world cup. Superb stuff. England next for South Africa.....
  3. Yes, good point. Rangers should have been out of sight after 20 mins yesterday and ended up being well beaten, the manager wasn’t up to the job.
  4. Rangers have sacked Beale and not a moment to soon, that performance yesterday was abysmal, he should have gone after the loss to Celtic. No idea who will come in to replace him, but whoever does take the hot seat has a massive job on his hands, the leagues already gone.
  5. Spotted by a mate in Sheffield on Saturday night:
  6. With the greatest of respect that is absolute rubbish. If you go to Ewood week in week out and do nothing more than look at the result after 90mins, then I could see a slight point to this. But if you understand the bigger picture this will make no sense whatsoever. We have lost 5 first team players by my calculations, quality players at this level and he’s been given a bag of magic beans and some bottle tops to try and replace them. The man’s doing a very good job with the cards he’s been dealt.
  7. I hadn’t really thought about that until I read it, but you’re spot on, great fit. I read recently that Beale spent £12m in the summer, if that is true he’s wasted it, JDT with £12m would win that league by October.
  8. Rangers were appalling yesterday, I’d be surprised if Beale lasts the weekend after that shambles. When Aberdeen scored the 2nd goal half the stadium left on mass, the anger was palpable. Aberdeen had 11 men behind the ball for large parts of the game, Rangers had nobody to break that down, sound familiar? You can forgive many things as a football fan and we often do, but a lack of desire is a red line for many and some of those players yesterday looked like they couldn’t be bothered, 2nd to every ball and shown up by an average Aberdeen side, full of guts and determination.
  9. We have Wednesday fans in the family Asia, they tell a very different story. The Darren Moore saga was the final straw for many, utter shambles by the media hungry Chansiri.
  10. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out - W****r. Venkys out! Chansiri out!
  11. Sadly I’ll miss this one as I’m off to Ibrox to watch Rangers. Leicester are the best side in this league by a country mile, it should be a cake walk to the title. The misfiring Jamie Vardy is reportedly on over £100k a week, which really does put things into perspective and shows how tough it is for Championship clubs to compete with Premiership cash. Rovers 1 Leicester 1 (I hope)
  12. Legend - Hope you’re well my friend 👍
  13. He was outstanding against Premiership Leicester last season, best player on the pitch, but he’s been poor so far this season, no arguments on that one. JDT keeps picking him, which tells its own story, I’d like him to stay, but his agent may have other plans.
  14. We lost the battle under king rat when the traditional hardcore decide it was more important to support the team, than to try and change the regime. It was left to a small band of warriors to fight the battle, whilst the rest sat and did nothing. Sadly it was only going to end one way, £200m+ in debt and heading one way.
  15. That don’t impress me much Tablua 👍
  16. I've been saying for 18 months that I don't think he's ready for a full season in the Championship, he's not got the fitness levels or strength from what I can see. The country went wild after that away performance at Blackpool live on Sky and whilst he's shown flashes of that night in more recent times, he's a long way from the finished article for me. He's still a bit part player in my eyes being rushed, due to lack of options.
  17. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear Tyrone, I'm sure all concerned are doing the best they can with limited resources. JDT is potentially the best manager we've had in over a decade, but he's not a miracle worker and is operating with one hand tied behind his back as so many before him.
  18. We are Premiership 😂 Enjoying it? Are you bollox.
  19. Did you say that after he scored the winner at Watford?
  20. I think you called us spineless away from home DE, that is simply not true, but that doesn't take away from the fact we are not winning games and things must change. Are we now The Championship entertainers? JDT seeing no other option than to play open expansive football home and away because he has no other option?
  21. The support today as always was outstanding - I salute everyone of you.
