  1. Pears was very good in goal for large parts of last season, JDT clearly rates him too. He was written off on here after Wigan away in the cup, let’s not write him off again after 1 bad game.
  2. Venkys came into the club talking about running a well established Premiership team on £5m a year and getting the wages under control to achieve that. Over the past 13yrs they've failed on almost every promise made, but wait, have they finally managed one.......? Our wages are now rumoured to be in the bottom half of the Championship, we now pay poorly as a club, have Venkys finally achieved one goal they set out to do?
  3. Possibly the worst display by a British boxer I think I've seen since Chisora lost on points to Kabayel in Monaco. Smith never threw a punch from start to finish, the fans have been short changed whilst Smith takes his cheque to the bank. Pathetic.
  4. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23763922.blackburn-rovers-boss-hyam-change-buckley-loan-exit/ JDT sounds like he's almost at breaking point, I really hope he sticks around. “I’ve said it many times, I think we need help with bodies,” Tomasson told RoversTV. “Our CEO also said that we need experience. “We need goalscorers and we need numbers as well, so it is good we have got a couple of numbers in. They are young players, which I like to develop. “Of course, we didn’t succeed with the experience which you need in a competitive league. Hopefully, we have got goals but we don’t know it yet. “I was disappointed to (lose) Buckley, I would rather have kept him. “But as I understand it, we needed to get players out before players could come in. We all know it is a stretched squad and John is a good player.” The club were keen to bring in a further signing before the window slammed shut but were unsuccessful in their efforts. “I thought when John went away on loan, we would probably get one more player in,” the boss continued. “It didn’t happen, I don’t know the reason for that. We all know that we need players in some positions and it is a tough league.” Dom Hyam came off at half time during the 3-0 defeat at Plymouth, with Scott Wharton playing the second half. When asked about the change, Tomasson replied: “He was not feeling that well. “I don’t know the reason for that, it could be because it has been a very busy week with a lot of travelling and sitting on the bus with air conditioning.”
  5. So you claim we’re getting the same gates today, we were in the Premiership/championship in 2012? After 12yrs of shite you expect those gates to have increased because the trend nationally has gone up?
  6. Our gates are slightly up, season ticket prices are up too, away support is better than under Allardyce in Premiership at times. You don’t understand how our support works, look at history, it always tells the story. Give the Blackburn public a successful team to support and they’ll come out in big numbers, season tickets sales and prices are irrelevant as Sheff Utd away last season proved.
  7. Irrelevant as I've told you many times Matty, only relevant to Waggott. Success on the pitch increase the gates, increase the gates and season tickets increase. 6000+ at Sheff Utd in FA Cup last season, the biggest away following in decades, season tickets played no part whatsoever, its all about a successful team.
  8. I’ve been to Plymouth 5/6 times over the past 40 years and only once have we taken 1000+ fans. Added to that, our home gates are very good on the back of 12yrs of these abhorrent owners. It’s in the blood and no amount of mismanagement and incompetence in Pune will ever change that.
  9. Every cloud…….. We are Premiership, well we are until around the 65 minute mark 🤣
  10. I can't see past Smith again tonight, Eubank looks much better on the scales, but nobody is buying his bravado. We'll see I guess. The story of Ricky Hatton is on Sky documentary at the moment, great watch, troubled soul, he's clearly still hurting. Having followed him myself from Manchester to Vegas, he should be proud of his efforts, he let nobody down.
  11. Lost to Plymouth, beat promotion contenders Watford….move on, bad day at the office. Just a word for the magnificent support today, most of which are on a mammoth trek back to Lancashire, I salute everyone if you. Safe trip lads and lasses, week in week out you do this club proud.
  12. Been in the pub @matt83 🤣 Hope we win for you pal.
  13. Didn't care for him much during his career, arrogant Aussie beach bum, but once he'd retired that was a different matter. Great cricketer, great man and sadly missed.
  14. Spoke to a Brum mate of mine yesterday who said they beat Plymouth last week with a 95 minute winner scored by an Exeter fan! But it looked all game like Plymouth would take the 3 points, very good side, they really surprised him, break quickly and play with tricky wingers hugging the touchline as BankEnd Rover mentions above. Tough game, hope we come away with something for the hordes making the trip to Devon.
  15. Reminds me of king rat dropping players for the Quarter final at Cardiff in 2011, we were 1 game from Wembley, 😤 https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9391782.full-time-cardiff-city-2-blackburn-rovers-0/
  16. Been to Home Park many times over the years, I once witnessed Tommy Tynan (Plymouths Simon Garner) put 4 past us, that was a long trip home........I saw Scott Sellers score from a corner as the wind was that strong and Howard Gayle called us all "******g mad" for travelling at that way, Cheer Howard! Most memorable has to be the playoff clincher under Kenny. Tough game, but we're a tough side, Plymouth 1 Rovers 3 Anyone staying down there, Plymouth hoe and Barbican area are great, worked down there a few years back now, great areas for hotels, pubs and restaurants. https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/explore/areas-to-visit/the-hoe https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/things-to-do/the-barbican-p1706033
  17. Biggest away win in our history 👍
  18. How did the ticket sales go? Was it a nightmare to get one?
  19. I have spent the weekend trying to sell the idea of a trip to Dharamsala for the final test in India next March, is there a better venue in world cricket At the foot of the Himalayas?
  20. Or Gallagher as I mentioned on the last page 😉
  21. Gallagher should get more credit, the lad puts in 110% every game.
  22. Well Abram Rover I salute you, great flag for a special player and you're spot on, he epitomises Arte Et Labore
  23. Did anyone see the Sammy Szmodics flag as Watford, I've not seen it myself, if anyone has a photo to share that would be great. The lad is firmly a fan favourite, a superb buy by the team.
