  1. The rule for the upper tier is something like two adults plus one child as a minimum BUT I would be very surprised if this was enforced at this point. I've had the rule relaxed for me when I've been taking friends in the past. If you need a child I can lend you one
  2. Only two ways this can happen: 1. The Burnly fan is on the Rovers database - nothing the club do about that as you can have an address anywhere in the world and be on the database. 2. Somebody on the database bought them for him
  3. Dreadful, appalling - my PNE mate's view of Burnley yesterday.
  4. I have a 12 year old who wants to buy this game......however I get the impression it involves gore, sex, drugs etc. Am I right? The cover says suitable for ages 18 and over. So would that be correct or not?
  5. I'm sure both ends are 8,000, the JW 10,000 and the Riverside 5000 but I haven's a clue where the other 800 or so are. Presumably the JW and the Riverside.
  6. Booked mine Wednesday pm, arrived this morning.
  7. OK Jim, I give up, safe in the knowledge I am and will remain a very satisfied customer and fan of Blackburn Rovers. I have other stuff to do.....
  8. You are.
  9. Jim I already know all of that. I've been there, got the T-shirt, etc. Known it for the last twenty years and spent the last twenty years adapting my business practice to follow the same philosophy. I have customers who discuss, explore and understand the constraints of our business in peak periods. These people are generally happy to work within the agreed parameters. We then have customers who call us on Monday morning in peak trading season and demand delivery by Tuesday afternoon. Can you guess who receives the priority? The thing I have learnt as a customer is that the person who understands the supplier and works with him will ALWAYS come out ahead of those who shout from the rooftops.
  10. If, as stuwilky suggests, they have sold 17000 in 25 hours that's a rate of 680 per hour. At that rate the club will shift 23000 tickets in 34 working hours. Puts them on target to sell out by 4.00pm Saturday.
  11. Why only those limited opening times ? To ensure that every tickets is sold and fans are not on the telephone for hours on end the ticket office should be open 24 hours a day. Pathetic. Pathetic
  12. Quite agree den but there are also those who have an agenda and will take an opportunity to move that agenda forwards. I have never met with anything but help, politeness and consideration by the Ewood staff. It needs saying, they all do what they can to make things happen for the individual supporter.
  13. Sorry don't agree. All it takes is: 1. Envelope 2. Stamp 3. Cheque or postal order 4. SAE and if you are really worried drive to Ewood and pop the envelope through the door.
  14. People here are raising genuine concerns, and its only though knowing your weak points that the ticket office can improve. That will benefit us all in the long run. Very true Ste and as we both know the club will take action to address the situation. I hope this will be an internet based system whereby ST holders can book tickets whenever is convenient to them. Faced with the current position the regular support has an important role to play. Fans can make one of two choices: 1. Understand the position, do what they can to ease the position, support the club and, crucially, explain the situation to the casual support. Encourage patience amongst the casual support. OR 2. Whinge and agree with the casual support. There's a choice; be positive and support the club, be negative and damage the club. It's up to each of you yto decide. 45 years is a long time to harbour a grudge, I just hope I never reach that stage in my life.
  15. No I'm not missing the point. There are people who will moan and whinge regardless, seems to me you are in that camp. Yes it could be better, yes there are systems which are due to be implemented in March that will overcome this problem. However to suggest Rovers should make capital and training investments to satisfy a demand unseen for years and unlikely to be repeated in the medium-term is financial lunacy. We have a situation in which thousands of fans who have been in the comfort zone for too long suddenly discover it can be difficult to get a ticket at Ewood. I would say to those people buy an ST, support the club more than once every 5 years and give John Williams a sound financial reason to increase the club's investment in ticketing. I have no problem with the situation, I know what it takes to get a ticket when demand is high and took the necessary action. I suggest others do the same. It isn't difficult. Understand the situation and then take your own actions to ensure one gets tickets. Or is the armchair support now so lazy that's too much to ask? This constant moaning is irritating beyond belief. Dress it up any way you wish, it's just more moaning.
  16. Why oh why can't people just enjoy the moment? Since 31st January - yes an entire month by the time we kick off on Tuesday - Rovers and Burnley have provided us with huge anticipation, excitment and entertainment. What else do people want? If I was JW I'd be thinking just what do I have to do to satisfy this bunch of moaning whingers. I'm delighted with the situation, we all should be, the biggest demand for tickets for years, this is POSITIVE. The ground will be rocking. I am beginning to believe there is a section of support who will only be happy the day we are relegated to the Conference. Then you'll really have something to whinge about. Have a bit of patience and be supportive of the club just once. If we beat Burnley I hope it will be more of the same for Leicester tickets. Keep it going Mr Williams you and the Rovers staff do a magnificent job.
  17. I wouldn't count on that. Weekend games aren't a problem but there has been at least one mid-week game this seasom where the CP at the bottom of Albion Mill was full and Ewood was well short of capacity. Can't remember the match but the cars were parekd nose to tail so as to block each other in. I shall be setting off earlier than usual to be sure of a spot.
  18. Never mind Rev. I went back after I'd been into town - still had to wait for an hour or so. Good offer though, cheers.
  19. Unless you are size XXXL or 12-18 months you won't get one from the club shop.
  20. phil as far as I can make out it is one per ST. However if you also have a history of buying extra tickets you can use that as well.
  21. Tickets have been on sale to the database, not just ST holders, since 9.00 Tuesday. They will NEVER get on full general sale for security reasons. I feel those backing the club on this are right. It's once in a blue moon, do you seriously think the club will not ensure everyone gets a ticket? This is a vital match on and off the pitch, a omce only opportunity to win back some of the armchair brigade. Williams knows this, he won't let it slip away. The one danger I can see is not all ST holders will get their own seats today which will create a rumpus. I'm also expecting an announcement the TO will open Sunday - it should do in this situation.
  22. I think we need to do the maths to realise the task the TO is facing. Capacity 31500 Dingles -7000 Segregation - 1500 Rovers fans 23000 Working days to sell: 7 Working hours per day: 7 Tickets to sell EVERY hour if it is a capacity - 470 At 5 minutes per transaction and 4 tickets on EVERY sale - 48 tickets per hour for one person. Every fan who doesn't have the right cash, wants to get a seat next to his mate etc makes it worse by the minute. Basically the club need ten experienced staff to sell 48 tickets every hour for 7 days straight. Give 'em a break guys they're doing what they can. Every time a punter buys less than four tickets the numbers get worse. I bought three so that's a 25% drop in one sale. If we beat Burnley these people are going to have to do it all over again, in eight days though, because surely the momentum will build and Leicetser would be close to capacity? As others point out the online purchase needs organising for ST holders in future. It shouldn't be that tough.
  23. Just took me 50 minutes on the phone to go from 47 to buying. So ES is about spot on. The lady I spoke to said the queue is STILL the length of the BBE concourse and shows no sign of easing up. I'm sorry for those in the queue but it's wonderful to see the demand from Rovers fans.
