Ferguson Is he coming back?

Hollands Pies will be launching their new Lancashire Hot Pot at the game. So all you early arrivals will be OK
-
Dave Edmundson (?), Burnley CE (?), was on Radio Lancs this morning stating there were still tickets available. Incidentally why are Radio Lancs spending the entire week at Turf Moor? Are we getting a feature?
-
White shorts please
-
I was only suggesting there may be more than a few Rovers dotted around the ground, not thousands but may be 1000.
-
LET Cummings I've a feeling he may be wrong there. Spoken to a number of people this week who are going but have tickets in the home areas. Spoke to Nicky Reid tonight, and his feeling was he just can't see Burnley stopping Rovers from scoring, this after I'd suggested should Burnley score first we may find it very difficult to get in front.
-
Now you mention it I did know that ......truth is I had so little idea as to who the main Burnley threat is I just looked up your top scorer on the BBC stats. I truely couldn't name a single player that you will put out on Sunday. Sorry but that's the truth of it.

Chronicles - Volume One - Bob Dylan A fantastic read for any Dylan fan and far from the usual biography stuff....but then what else would you expect from Bob Dylan. On my second read since Christmas and looking forward to Volume 2.

My main concern is the players' attitude. This isn't a cup game against a lower league side, it's what some describe as the most intense derby in the country. Savage, Todd, Dickov and Friedel will understand that, will the rest? Player reaction to the on and off pitch atmosphere will be very important. If we score first I'm confident of a win. Should Burnley score first it will go to a replay. Burnley (Blake) 1 Rovers 1 (MGP) I hope on Sunday the fans of Blackburn Rovers FC and Burnley FC can show the country what a real derby game is about. I hope we can show the country a fabulous game, a real atmosphere, and some proper behaviour. The last thing we need is hooligan headlines to follow the Yorke incident.

Enjoyed my Saturday afternoon and this was a brilliant result but can't help thinking some folk are getting carried away. Radio Rovers, some callers to the station and others are describing this as a fantastic performance. The team played well, everyone did their jobs properly to overcome a very poor Norwich team that had given up for most of the second half. MGP, Tugay, Nelsen, Savage, Todd, Nissa had very good games. The pairing of Nelsen and Todd has to be our first choice for the rest of the season. Freidel kept us in the game early on with a couple of good saves. Dickov took his two goals well but I didn't think his overall contribution too impressive. Emerton seemed to be wandering all over the place and it's probably best to give him the benefit of the doubt. Mokoena, I like him, he sounds really enthusiastic when interviewed, but I feel his position is defensive midfield and not centre-half. Neil was OK but lucky to stay on the pitch - both he and Huckerby realised it was not a bad tackle but it looked awful from a distance and the referee might easily have shown the red card. Gally was OK but I felt he was missing for long periods and when he did pop up it wasn't for an inspired moment or two! The performance we saw yesterday is the type the players are paid to give, keep it up and we will do well, might even see a few more bums on seats. I'm delighted by the result but think to describe this as a fantastic performance is getting carried away with the defeat of a very, very poor Norwich side. Do it at Everton or against Arsenal and then we can start the real praise. Seeing several of the players coming to the BBE and applauding the crowd plus the apparent team spirit was perhaps the most important aspect of the afternoon.

[Archived] Buying A Shirt (read this if you need help)
Paul replied to Leo1875's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
As I said above this site (Me) will ship you a shirt for very little cost. I just ask you also donate a £5 to the site for my trouble. Roughly speaking we are looking at: Shirt £24 USA p&p £5-6 Donation to site £5 Total £34 which is still cheaper than the old shirts used to be. There's at least two American, and sveral other members, on here who will vouch for this working very well. Any exchange rate charges are down to the buyer Happy to do it again when the new shirt is out. -

It's too late now but this website is quite happy to help you get a shirt - not till the new one comes out though - if you get in touch with me later. Cost is reasonable: Shirt at cost Packing at cost Postage at cost Donation to site: Minimum £5 Payment by PayPal It works out less than buying through commercial web sites. PM to me nearer the time. Turn around time from order to delivery is about 7 days, depending on the mail. Cheers Cole, glad you liked it. -

You might get an XXXL in the club shop. There are very few shirts around because of the new design for next year. -
It's certainly one point of view, yours. As for dislike and animosity, sorry you're wrong again, I simply feel this perspective needs challenging. As for being egged on, wrong again, the majority on here are more than capable of forming their own views.....do you really believe people are sufficiently interested to egg each other on in response to your posts? Heading off on another tangent aren't you? It's getting a bit predictable.
-
No simply pointing out your ability to post rubbish increases by the day. When a fan of Blackburn Rovers publicly admits to taking action to prevent other fans from obtaining tickets I would suggest that fan deserves some criticism. You're talking nonsense over this ticket allocation merely to draw attention to yourself. Your last post clearly demonstrates you are struggling to put together a coherent arguement, having backed yourself into a corner. I would never have believed you would effectively resort to "you're jealous because I got tickets and you didn't." Grow up man.
-
I'd rather not find out rosie.....a first time win will do. If there is a replay I trust the whingers will all be there
-
Of course, which is precisely why the away support should always receive first shout on tickets. For example without regular travelling fans it would be difficult for Rovers to gauge the ticket volume they might request for any PL away match. Don't forget the visiting club has to purchase the away tickets regardless of if they are sold or not. Therefore we can argue the regular travelling support effectively underwrite Rovers committment in this area. Use it or Lose it - your phrase I believe. Yet on this thread you suggest the club should risk alienating the regular away support, whom I presume are ST holders at Ewood, by offering Burnley tickets to ST holders on a tiered basis. You further suggest the club alienate those who cannot travel to Ewood to purchase tickets by limiting or blocking the number of incoming calls. That should go down well in London, Leicestershire, Manchester, Wiltshire and a few other places I can think of In another thread you ridiculed an individual for suggesting tickets for young people should be more competively priced. In an earlier post you refered to getting "all my tickets" - Did you by any chance purchase tickets for someone who wasn't in the queue? Someone who couldn't get down to Ewood or couldn't get to a phone all morning. I'm truely shocked What was that phrase again - Use it or Lose it" - your proposals for ticketing arrangements suggest you are more in the lose it camp. No I don't subscribe to Sky and I never knowingly purchase any media from the Murdoch organisation as a matter of principle. Quite happy to watch the odd game though. Yes it is a double standard, bit like yours really?
-
This one takes the biscuit. In other words sod the regular support, the week in week out brigade, some of whom work simply to be able to travel with Rovers........I doubt if a single one of them is an ST holder at Ewood, they probably just like long train journeys or perhaps even train spotting. Away support put everything into supporting the team and to suggest they do not deserve a reward is utterly ludicrous. So not all of their money goes into Rovers pocket. tell me Gordon does every penny you spend in assocciation with football go to Blackburn Rovers? Ever bought a pint in a pub rather than go and watch in Blues bar. Got Sky? Best cancel that subscription and send it to your mate John Newsome. You cannot honestly say you have never put money in the pocket of another club so perhaps you shouldn't cast the first stone. I take it we can rely on you to buy some sandwiches and pop at Ewood on saturday and keep them for the Burnley game. Or might you buy a cup of tea at Turf Moor I'd agree those who attended the three home cup games should have had priority over other ST holders but not over the away support. The Celtic tickets clearly demonstrated this, when die-hard away travellers where usurped by the likes of me. As for phoning to complain about telephone sales, that is a disgusting manner in which to treat your fellow Rovers fans. Through no fault of my own I had to be in Banbury today. What should I do? Put my livelihood at risk and join the queue. Put your brain in gear man. I think we now clearly understand the sort of person you are. I'm alright guys, I got my tickets now lets sh!t on the rest of the support. When I knew I wouldn't get tickets I shrugged my shoulders and thought that's life. Reading on here of people who are so outraged they won't buy an ST next year - well you can cut off your noses if you like. As for your outrageous suggestions and actions thenodrog - words fail me. Do you EVER consider others. I very much doubt it
-
Glenn I wouldn't get to livid, this is more of the usual from thenodrog - anything to be controversial and wind up folk. Before I go on I didn't get tickets, and I'll claim the moral high ground by having turned down an offer from someone who had two STs, all the stubs but only wanted one ticket. I would have queued all night if I hadn't needed to be in Banbury at 9.30. As one who spent most of the morning on the mobile I think I can say with authority there was no apparent change in policy. I put my first call in at 8.00am and then every ten minutes getting the TO closed message. Finally put a call in at 8.58 and the queue was full. Kept calling until 9.23 and then got in the queue at number 49. Sat in my customers car park working out I could sit there for the best part of an hour or shoot in do the business and then back on the phone. By 9.35 I had dropped down to No.44. Started calling again at 10.20, finally got back in the queue around 10.30 at No.49, waited till Iwas No.35 and put my phone on hold thinking I could make some other calls. Managed to drop the call and had to start all over again at No.47 this time. At 11.21 the message changed from the usual blah, blah to "All tickets have now been allocated" This pretty much ties in with those who posted that sales finished at Ewood around 11.30. At no time did the club drop my call and neither could I detect any change in policy. the lines behaved in the exact same way from 8.58 to 11.20. I don't suppose anyone in the queue at Ewood used a mobile? The club got this 99% right, what else could they have done?
