It isn't necessary to quote evrything lads cheers

I would have thought this figure plus those who are sent their ticket automatically is about right. Bet there aren't more than 12-1500 who have two away games under their belts this season. Anyone with two stubs knows they will get a ticket so there's no big rush for them. Wednesday will be the true indicator.
-
It isn't usually a problem.

Got my tickets for the Friday confirmed a while ago. Both myself and Manc Blue should be there Paul. Yep got mine confirmed for the Friday as well - buy you a beer

I think you may be disappointed/surprised. We have 3800 tickets. The first 1200 will go the regular away support, perhaps another 300 on corporate bits and pieces, players etc. That leaves 2300. Now I think I'm right in saying we have around 10,000 ST holders. After taking out say 1000 of those as regular away support that leaves 9000 and a lot of them will want to go. If we do have that many ST holders, and after dealing with the regular away support, only 1 person in 4 will get a ticket. As a family we very, very rarely go away and I'm looking for at least 3 and perhaps 4. There will also be a lot of instances where families use kids STs to buy adult tickets for Dad's mate etc. So I think you'll find very few, if any, end up on sale on February 15th. I think people using the kid's ST to get adult tickets for a few mates will have a big influence on availability.

May be it will be or may be not.....I've always taken the view if you REALLY want to go make sure you're first in the queue. I've never failed to get a ticket for any game I wanted to see so I'd be in the queue if i wasn't going to be in Banbury. Not having a go at you Dan... but a lot of people moan about not getting tickets when they won't put themselves out to get one.
-
Just realised I have to be in Banbury for 9.30am on Wednesday....bugger, bugger, bugger

Some of us have to wait till Tuesday night for that pleasure

I think you're being a bit optimistic there! As I read it, and as was announced last night, it is as follows: ST holders with TWO away stubs have priority on 7th/8th February ALL ST holders can buy tickets between 9th and 14th February. Opeb sale from 15th February It is ONE ticket per season ticket and each season ticket holder must have purchased TWO different away tickets this season. Each person can buy up to FOUR tickets in one transaction - this would mean you would need four different season tickets and a total of EIGHT away games - two per ticket. You can buy four at a time so friends can sit together and Rovers only have to deal with one-quarter of the phone calls/applications. Somehow I think the rest of us would be a bit unhappy if you just needed two stubs to get four tickets

Can we borrow Texas? The sold out thing is a very good idea. -

Does the technology exist to blank out satellite reception within specific post codes during broadcast of a game? Just a theory I have about preventing viewing within a certain radius of any PL ground at which the match is being played as part of the next Sky deal. We could by some sort of device to jam the signals -
Truely there is no such thing as a free lunch! So that's a total of £94. Ticket £18 Parking £5 Coach £10 - estimate Programme £3 Total £36 Which means lunch is costing £58 and you still have to sit with the rest of us.

OJ, there hasn't been any announcement about transport. I will be amazed if there isn't the option, perhaps even the requirement, to be bussed in and out. It worked very well last time and seems the sensible option this time. Tickets will be available by phone or by queuing up. I could do with some help on this game. The plan is for me and the two youngest to go. I know there are going to be 3800 stood up for 90 minutes, singing their heads off. In this situation Matthew is too small to see anything and Tom isn't physically able to stand for 90 minutes nor will he be able to see. Tom will also be worried by the noise. If I get tickets, and presuming these are not at the front, I'd be really grateful if someone he gets three at the front if they would consider swapping seats around. PM me if and when you can help.

That Milwall game, now that was a fun day out! Anyway back on topic. From the official Rovers board, and I presume posted by Lee, Burnley v Blackburn Rovers Competition: FA Cup 5th Round Location: Turf Moor Date: Sunday 20th February 2005 Time: Kick-off 1.40pm Our allocation for this fixture is 3,800 tickets in the Cricket Field Stand. Tickets for this game will go on sale to season ticket holders who have ticket stubs from two away matches this season from Monday 7th February 2005. Any Remaining tickets will go on sale to Season Ticket Holders from Wednesday 9th February 2005. A Maximum of Four tickets can be purchased per person. Prices Adults £18 Seniors £11 Juniors £9 NO Tickets will be available on the day of the game.

From what I could gather from the tannoy it is this: Monday/Tuesday: ST holders who went to the last TWO away games - Portsmouth and Cardiff Wednesday: All ST holders Any remaining tickets will go on sale to anyone on the database. One ticket per ST with a maximum of 4 per person Adults: £18 Junior: £9 OAP: £11.50 Disappointed those of us who bothered to turn up for Bournemouth, Cardiff replay and Colchester haven't been rewarded for doing so. I think this is wrong, if one attends the less attractive games one should get first shout for the big fixtures. Rovervision said full details are on the official site but I can't see anything yet.

The result was wrong but the performance was so, so right. For me this was what I expect from our current squad. An excellent hard-working, professional performance that made the so-called best team in the league look average. Certainly Chelsea have the more talented players but we matched them in every department, prevented them from playing and there was absolutely no disgrace in losing tonight - a draw or even a win would have been no more than Rovers deserved. The new boys, Ryan Nelsen, Robbie Savage and Aaron Moekoena were excellent, as was MGP. Dickov woked very hard but he's not a lone striker. Must confess to being a bit worried by Thommo's performance which wasn't that good. Overall great stuff from the lads. Top marks to Sparky for bringing us so far since the visit to Stamford Bridge. You've put some pride back into Rovers tonight.

Much the same here SG, though I have got City away but with my luck it won't count! I do hope they take the 3 home games into account as this does only seem fair.
-
On that basis we will only sell 12-1500 so there will have to be another shout of some sort.
-
Still nothing from the Beeb - just how long does it take them to sort out a broadcast schedule? They must have known the cup was on the 19/20th Feb!
-
My lad just phoned from Kuala Lumpar - boy is he sick about missing this
-
Anyone stuck for a ticket - I've got a spare. PM me before 5.00pm tonight, then it's going back to the club.
-
Another reason to get to Cardiff - seriously p!ss off Mr Ferguson. Wouldn't that be beautiful, Barry gets to come second in everything and we win the cup!

[Archived] Poll - Falling Attendances.

Which is pretty much what is being said above. It occurs to me that if we brainstorm this for long enough we just might find the answer - or at least something JW can use as a starting point. -

Not once have I used the word "loyalty" in this discussion. I have however used, as you do "professionalism, ability and passion" or similar words. Answer this question thenodrog - "If you perceive a product as poor quality would you buy it on a regular basis?" Please just answer the question. The stay away fans perceive the performances on the pitch as rubbish consequently they won't attend or buy the product. On the other hand if players demonstrated "professionalism, ability and passion" we might have a fighting chance of filling the empty seats. I still maintain Lancashire United would a disaster and the real secret to building the fan base is to ensure children are involved at a very early age.
