  1. The contract one especially is bewildering to me. What are they all up to sat in the offices at Brockhall all week?
  2. No place for Harry Leonard in a game like this. He’s got the knack of being in the right place at the right time, but he’s nowhere near physically imposing enough or enough of a threat to start a standard championship game, nevermind this one.
  3. Yikes, that squad is even further stretched. Even less confident now. Pears Brittain Batth Hyam Beck Tronstad Baker ACD Weimann Hedges Dolan That’s a really weak team.
  4. Pears Brittain Hyam Batth Beck Tronstad Baker Weimann Cantwell Hedges Dolan Toth, McFadz, JRC, Buckley, ACD, Leonard, Gueye + 2x academy players. Crickey that squad is stretched quickly. Experience please, Eustace. Assumed Ohashi is injured, we need someone to press their back line as otherwise they'll just retain the ball and the attacks will keep coming back. Plus having Gueye on the bench gives us a wildcard option for the last 20 minutes if needed.
  5. If we had owners willing to properly back our managers Eustace would have an experienced goal scorer waiting for him at Brockhall when the bus arrived!
  6. Hope no rival fans are reading this or you’re all going to end up going viral for suggesting we have any hope of signing Evan Ferguson.
  7. Still showing two for me. One BBE upper, one JW lower.
  8. At any normal football club I wouldn’t be wondering whether there’s a world where they didn’t put the seats on sale because they couldn’t be arsed taking the netting off. But here…
  9. I’d rather take Cantwell (and Tronstad, Batth and Beck, if at all possible) if we’re winning by 60 minutes, personally.
  10. There will be hundreds in the corporate lounges in the Jack Walker. So they’ll all be sat JW upper central.
  11. Must win. Cant see a world where you can play ACD and Dolan on the wings, neither offer any credible defensive support. Team picks itself for me: Pears Brittain Hyam Batth Beck Tronstad Baker Dolan Cantwell Hedges Ohashi
  12. I'm sure he's had a superb 10 years Mike.
  13. On the counter, I don’t think we’ll sell those final 1,000 tickets if we get a poor result against Sunderland and Leeds.
  14. Could be. Or, it could be we are actually interested in him. We’ve scouted him, put him in front of the manager who’s gone “YES!”, then we’ll approach his club in January and ask if they’ll give us him on loan and pay his wages for us. They tell us to piss off, he signs for a club ran by proper management, we buy another German sixth tier striker who’s miles off the pace, our manager is furious he thought he was getting proper players and questions the clubs ambitions, to which point our CEO says his target is to stay in the league despite being 5th in January. I’ve seen all this before, which is why when it all plans out in the same way it always does I’ll be annoyed at our fans.
  15. I wasn’t going to, but given they’ve requested flags I’m going to bring my 16ft “Venky’s Out, Waggott Out” flag.
  16. Playing for Como in Serie A under Cesc Fabregas.
  17. Tifo was left last minute so won't be there, I heard
  18. Probably. I'm not sure what with, or how long for. He's been out for ages and only made 4 appearances this season.
  19. I think I'd give serious thought towards a Ross Stewart gamble in January. He's been out ages and is on 20K / week at Southampton, but I wonder if they'd be open to a loan, he's clearly not going to be able to play for them. If we could get him fit he's proven he can lead the line at this level.
  20. I can feel some optimism in the air and if following Rovers recently has taught me anything, it's to have serious alarm bells about what's coming next...
  21. I was convinced we’d let a hugely ambitious and positive football manager leave and replaced him with a small budget Big Sam. How wrong I was!
  22. I’m pretty convinced it’s all a clever ploy to get corporate tickets sold to away fans. After all, what’s 3,000 extra away fans if you can have 1,500 away fans in the corporate section? Limited to number of away tickets ✅ Price corporate tickets in a way which they’re affordable to a keen away fan ✅ Put corporate tickets on sale to Burnley fans, let them wear club colours ✅
  23. I'm speculating but I infer it's a bond, which acts as a guarantee.
