As always, appreciate the WATR board giving up their spare time to try and get some sense out of these people. Based on those minutes, I gather... 1) Waggott said there was no obstacles in the owners funding the club... apart from for every £ they send, they still need to deposit £1 to the Indian Government as a bond. 2) Waggott is speaking to some companies about the cost involved in safe standing. I'm guessing his ingenious plan is to continue with the previous suggestion of Rovers fans fundraising for it, despite having billionaire owners and over 40M of transfer fee income in the last 3 years. 3) Waggott would like the fans (again) as well as the National Lottery (???) to fund the most expensive bits of the 150th year celebration of our football club. 4) Waggott still doesn't accept or understand that a £319 season ticket is too expensive, never mind the £399 offering. 5) The price of season tickets is a pretty easy equation to get to: The total revenue target set by Venkys / The number of fans that will back the club regardless = The price. As an equation, we're looking at: TR (Target Revenue) ÷ F (Fans) = £P (£Price). 6) Waggott continues to dangle a carrot of a mysterious shadow board 7) WATR's season ticket proposal doesn't agree with my theory on how to sell tickets, which for clarification is: Have them on sale immediately after the last home game of the season Take them off sale the day before the first home game of the season Have them at one price between those two dates Max adult prices no-more than £287.50 in all stands apart from the 'premium' offering of Jack Walker Upper Central Use an accessible finance partner that allows that season ticket to be paid over maximum 12-months i.e. Klarna.

Glad it's not me this is seriously grating on now!

Make a deal with Stockport that they get Markanday to cover him.

Apologies, messed up the wording whilst rushing. Should read “a striker like keiffer Moore that scores 10+ league goals between Jan and the end of the season”

January makes or breaks teams outside the top 2/3 (who are usually too good with parachute money) and the next 10 teams who all could get into the top six. The key is a strong squad with game changers on the bench, both in attack and defence. The assignment is simple, in my opinion: Loan: James Hill, Louie Barry Sign: A striker that scores 10+ league goals, Keiffer Moore?

I personally love Gueye. He’s a terrible footballer, but every time he comes on he’s incredible value for a yellow. -

@K-Hod can you please ask for clarification on the clubs approach to nutrition? Specifically are the players still having tailored hot food cooked on-site by Rovers employed chefs after training? And if not, why not? -
I imagine that’s the case too. I’m not sure who’s on the committee, though. Which is fine, but for me it should be clearer who has come to these conclusions and whose opinions I’m reading. I’m unsure as to how the Trusts represents its members if it doesn’t consult its members on strategic decisions. Or at least, hasn’t consulted me as one of its members.

The Trust have issued a statement on season tickets: https://www.roverstrust.com/news/season-tickets-2025-26-proposals Flexi tickets for those more than 25 miles away is odd, in my opinion. And the statement doesn't headline the biggest issues in my opinion - they’re too bloody expensive! Where any Trust members consulted on their views? Interested to see exactly whose conclusions and/or opinions are included here. I know I haven’t been asked.

I think the intention is to scare phase 3 considerers into buying in phase 1 or 2.

J*B's pricing plan: 1) All adults are priced at £230, anywhere but the JW central upper. Use Klarna as the credit supplier (so it's more easily accessible) and offer payment terms of: Upfront, spread across 3 months (£77 a month) or and payable over 12-months from 1st August at £19.20 a month. 2) The price doesn't change and season tickets are taken off sale on the 2nd August. 3) The season ticket prices are announced at the last game of the season, 26th April and are available to buy from the 27th April 4) U23's and any full time students pay 75% of an adult ticket (£172.50) 5) U18s pay 60% (£138) 6) U12s pay £57.50 (£2.50 / game) 7) U8s go free 8.) The Ewood Experience starts 4 hours before kick off, every home game. It's scheduled as (based on 3pm kick off): 11:00 - 12:00: £2.50 pints at The Blues Bar 12:00 - 13:00: Street Food Vendors, Early KO played on all screens, access to BBE lower concourse for all ticketed fans to watch the game 13:00 - 14:00: Live Music, former player interviews outside the BBE, 20% off at Rovers Store 14:00 - 15:00: Pre-match build up played across all screens, £3 pints at all vendors, Live Music

They're trying to get as much money in early as there's no income, as opposed to the start of the season when they start getting away sales and tv money.

WATR sponsored BRFCS at a secondary level (i.e. not the main sponsors) and in return their logo was included within the front page and match centre as well as their thread was one of our five-pinned threads so they could communicate with the BRFCS membership. The sponsorship lapsed earlier this year as WATR where exploring other options. So the thread is still here and everyone is welcome to post (I'd recommend it too, but thats another story). We've since replaced their sponsorship with power league.

I've just seen WATR have released a statement via the LET on season tickets, which I think is strong and good work: https://x.com/_ElliottJackson/status/1861001890672390312 - although it does slightly contradict the messaging at the start of the season, which was that this years pricing was a success and due (in part) to their influence with Waggott. I haven't received the e-mail you've mentioned however. The only e-mail I've had is that my membership is due to be renewed. I also can't see anything official on the website under News and Resource on the statement: https://www.roverstrust.com/ I don't know if there's something wrong with my e-mail but I don't get any comms apart from the yearly "we're due to take the renewal" email address. It is something I've brought up before. I assume there's some sort of monthly "submit your questions" or "fill in this questionnaire so we can represent your views", but I never get it.

John Park head of recruitment

And if you’ve got the highly experienced Park or the newly qualified in their first role Gestede, at Ewood you definitely back Gestede. -
John Park head of recruitment
J*B replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
John Park has resigned according to Nixon. I’m totally indifferent to Park. I don’t know if he’s good, average or bad. What I do know is within 3.5 years I make that: Hired him Sacked him Rehired him Quit Yet there’s still fans that think entertaining anything Steve Waggott or Suhail Pasha say is worth a minutes time.- 406 replies

Still hoping for the best when deep down we all know the truth. It’s commendable. I’m on the other sign of the coin — who’s available for a free, or on a reduced wages 6 month loan?

Think he’s a decent sub option. You need to bear in mind he’s played since January with no break. Our issue is we signed a dud of a striker in Gueye. -

That impressive summer recruitment feels a long time ago, doesn’t it? So predictable that it’s simply frustrating at this point. -

Buckley continues to look poor to me. Much like myself at 5 a side, if you give him time to dictate a game he’s capable but put him under any pressure and make him work and he loses the ball or can only go backwards.
