Just my opinion as I said in an earlier post to Sharpysharps86. so you think we weren't paying previous head coaches a similar amount then? do you think we should pay a bigger wage to attract a Steve Cooper? Yes I am fully aware that the last time we extended Dolan will be leaving in my opinion.

I think you have to trust your recruitment team and the shortlist they present to you. They have put time into scouting, research into these targets. How much time does a head coach have to scout targets overseas or even players in league 1 who can step up to Championship really? The head coach main job is to get results, coach the team and tactics, whilst he has a side when it comes to the final target being pick. the same salary that Eustace, Mowbray and JDT was on? The basic salary is 600k plus bonuses being offered. I honestly have no idea and depends what they wanted to do, etc, etc. You tell me, you seems to have the all the answers and I am just wrong every time.
-
Totally deluded again Mercer. Just more BS and insults from yourself. The same salary Eustace, JDT and Mowbray was on. if any head coach candidate is just coming for the money then I don't want them here. Your stats come from this report done during Covid and on 28th April 2020 by Daily Mail sports reporter Mike Keegan Physios on £191,000 and kit men on £56,000! Crazy wages don't add up in EFL with clubs on the brink | Daily Mail Online

You coming here cos you wanted to come to the club, try to get us a playoff and promotion this season and if they build their own team working with Gestede and Owen to do that to try to achieve that. How is 600k salary not competitive salary previous head coaches were probably on similar wages like Mowbray, JDT and Eustace? If Cooper or O'Neil don't want to come for the salary then clearly they aren't the right choice. No my approach is about not keep going on and on about the same issue every day and act like people have forget them, cos no one has but I just don't mention them in every post. Not burying my head as you sand. Matty, well all respect, we all know the issues regarding the contracts of key players or lack of re-investment into the club from sales. Nowhere have I have said everything is hunky dory again, but to be utter honest, my focus is about getting a new head appointment before the next game and securing a playoff place giving the club a chance of promotion. What happens if we renew the contracts of Travis, Brittain, Hyam and Tronstad in the summer?

said it for the last 12 days FB. My opinion is nothing to do with Jackson but just feel that a foreign head coach suits our structure with Gestede and Owen running then recruitment side of the club. Did Derby offered him better salary then here. Thanks for the question. I reckon Eustace, JDT and Mowbray were all on similar wages I bet. Just my opinion.

Championship 24/25

Luton just looked so poor and I can't see them getting out of it which surprises me massively. -
cos they dug deep and took the points when on offer. Fin Smith's penalty from near the half time won England the game. Scotland were very good but missed crucial kicks at goal
-
You mean Eustace who did much better than you said. 600k is more than a decent salary to offer for a head coach. Not interested in average salary for managers at this level as the parachute clubs will offer bigger salaries. That article you mention is 4 and half years ago. You wind yourself by not accepting other people's viewpoint and respect it. That's the biggest problem with certain people on here Not been the case for many years. Do you think Ancelotti and Pep are on more than Haaland and Mbappa? 🤔
-
Has a good CV and from what I read he is tactical adaptable which is what we need
-
Was Eustace on a similar salary?
-
Plenty would. I said from day 1 I expect foreign head coach appointment. Still expect that like Wicky, Ismael or Niels Frederiksen to be the type of appointment unless we go for Edwards or Wellens. Gestede and Owen will run the recruitment side of the club and tbh they have more than decent record of that
-
We are way above in the league in terms of wages to actually league position cos of Eustace and the players out performing others with higher wage bills, plus success in targeting quality players from overseas on less wages
-
I would go for at least 8 to 10 clubs. Not at all. You can appoint a good head coach for that money. FFS. How is 600k not the going rate for mid table Championship club with a bottom 6 wage budget?
-
Not what I said FB, as per usual with you stiring the pot with your BS
-
If you take out clubs with PL parachute money I think 600k is about average championship head coach salary plus bonuses That's why we target more the overseas markets for cheaper fees but similar quality of player
-
Are you taking the piss with all negative all the time whether its team selection, links to potential head coach appointment, signings made. We could appoint Klopp and you still something to moan and complain again. You great at saying no, no and no to everything. We are the playoffs place and despite what you thought we would be. This is good opportunity for promotion and if someone is coming here just for the money not the chance for promotion this season or next season to build their own team working with Gestede and Owen if we don't get promote then I don't want them here. I wanted a head coach who wanted to be here and build a team we can get behind and achieve what we want The recruitment this season hasn't been as you suggest to be honest and let's be honest Gueye, Ohashi, Batth, Beck, Weimann, Baker were good signings, whilst Cantwell has been mixed and ACD and Toth not good enough. I take it you will of course disagree. Yes we know what the contract situation is with Hyam, Travis, Tronstad and Brittain. We discussed it to death to be quite honest
-
I'm Surprised we are offering that much in wages. If people aren't interested cos of wages being offered and ignoring the opportunity to get a playoff place and promote, it's best not to appoint them.
-
I would be disappoint. Missing the point yet again, we should get entering the final stage of appointing someone given they went to London for final interviews last week
-
Mercer, you have probably missed my points about the lack of reinvestment in the squad from sales and lack of contract renewals happening this season with yourself being away from the messageboard but my passion and belief in my football club will always be there and Given its been around 10 days since Eustace officially left and given that Rovers management have been in London this week before Swansea meeting candidates to become our next head coach hardly rushing is it? What happens if the next head coach is someone we know little about, how can you be critical and surely you need to judge on results and performances? I said we need a appointment by Tuesday to allow the new head coach 3 training sessions with the players panic? not at all, Just you trying to stir that pot yet again

should have signed Jeffrey De Lange but we messed around. Or even go for Wigan keeper Sam Tickle with an experience back up like Begovic as number 2 -

Very disappointed result and performance, Didn't expect that after the last 2 wins. Could have been very different if Weimann scored at nil nil but we didn't, after that simply not good enough. Thanks Lowe and the staff for 2 wins after Eustace left but we need a new head coach appointment now. -
Need a new head coach appointment early next week. Over to the Rovers club management to deliver. Thanks for Lowe and the staff plus the players for the last 2 wins before Swansea game. Its going to be interesting who they go for.

I read an article on the athletic website about the problems at Leicester like Recruitment, squad morale, falling outs, etc.
