I can see your point here. I would favour an experience head coach coming in. Farke, Carvalhal and Wagner being 3 candidates we should be looking at for that role. Plus an experience DoF like Stuart Webber or Nicky Hammond would be ideal. Maybe informal interviews have taken already who knows with their agents to find out what demands and terms are already with certain candidates Well I do have plenty of hope on 2 good appointments being made

I wouldn't discount Leeds just yet. Why? Cos you think it's dead rubber for them.

England were 'blown away' by 'impressive' Brendon McCullum interview, says Andrew Strauss (msn.com)

Michael Carrick is being linked with Lincoln job and he is reported has interested in the job. A director of football is responsible for much more than just transfers and he is going for all of footballing structure. Nixon never said they was a shortlist already but Rovers planned to interview 6 candidates. This is where you aren't properly following the story. Sharpe has said we have had over 60 applications for the job. So that suggests to me this is sort after position but we have to appoint the right person for the head coach that we want they to fill I have had a few bets on the next manager of us and that I have picked up some good odds on a few.

I made mistake thinking it was this Sunday but thats Spurs at home to them It won't be easy as you are saying as you are making to be. I think Newcastle will win and Tripper and Wood will score to send them down. Imagine that

If you are bringing in Farke or Carvalhal then promotion will be the aim. Mowbray made far too many excuses about not able to match other teams financially and we should be happy with mid table. Huddersfield and Luton have shown that you don't need loads of money I think this structure should have been put in place as soon as Venkys took over the club IMO. I imagine if Venkys have signed off on this structure then they are fully behind it.

Newcastle won't be the beach at all. Its their last home of the season and I expect Newcastle to win. Their performance against Liverpool at home was good

Ben Brereton sale will be massive loss to our football club and team. He was great this season and I hope a good managerial appointment can convince him to stay here and sign a new contract -
Why? Would you still fill with despair if we appoint an experience DoF and Farke or Carvalhal as our next head coach? Do you have a problem with this football structure? If you look at the Norwich and how they did it is something I would be looking at bringing in here. Youth Development will be key part of our footballing strategy aswell as improving our scouting knowledge to find more gems out there in the footballing world.

Lets hope so this is great appointment team Why does it attractive Carrick or Ferguson? Surely it depends who the new Sporting Director and New Head Coach is and why would it led to increase of agents here? Carvalhal has used and develop youth at Braga I am led to believe. Paul Senior wasn't appointed until January and lasted 5 months. If you have a problem with it then maybe either ignore it or unfollow him. Well Mercer I seriously hope you are correct with this post of Webber and Farke coming here. It would be 2 great appointments by us.

Agreed Rob Key has made 4 key decisions already. Appointed Stokes as Captain, McCullum as red ball head coach, splitting the head coach role into 2 and bringing back national Selector role.

I agree with you on alot of your points above. The DoF should be in charge of the football side of the club and if I was in charge I would be approaching Stuart Webber or Luke Dowling for example today and looking to bring them in asap. The head coach should be focusing on the coaching the team, tactics and match days along with should involved in the type of player he wants for the position he wants a signing in, but the DoF does the work with the recruitment to bring players the head coach wants. The head coach should be allow to bring in his own number 2, goalkeeper coach and fitness coach. The DoF should be bringing the right of the staff like Physios, doctors and recruitment/scouting staff.

Mowbray should have reach the playoffs at least once in those 4 years and for me it was in the first season after promotion we had a good team or in the third season when we had Armstrong scoring for fun and Elliott in the team. This season we were second in the league in February and we didn't make the playoffs. That was mainly down to Mowbray. No excuses for me. Its worked perfectly for Norwich with Stuart Webber as DoF and Farke has head coach. Webber worked with Farke on the signings but its was Webber who scouting knowledge and expertise who secured signings like Pukki and Buendia.

We all make predictions that don't happen to work not all of us can get everything right every time can we. Leeds didn't turn up against Chelsea and their players seems unsure and lost with Jesse Marsch's tactics and ideas

He did a good job at Sheffield Wednesday including 2 top 6 finish/playoff place. He has head coach there and he had director of football/transfer committee above him signing the players. Alot of foreign coaches are head coaches and they like to work with a director of football so if you are going to appoint a Daniel Farke or Carlos Carvalhal then you will need a director of football aswell
