  1. well you say this but lets look at his signings. We signed Graham, Stokes, Mulgrew and Feeney. Plus Greer, Williams and Brown. Plus loan signings of Gallagher, Emnes, Hoban, Samuelsen, Hendrie and Byrne. Plus he tried to sign Stuart Armstrong from Celtic at the time for 1 million pounds but Celtic said no. The wages of those there are over 100k plus a weeks if not more. Plus the players we had here. Decent budget. Maybe my good budget comment was OTT in all fairness. Still feel like we should have better but no point going over this now. The past is the past
  2. well no we didn't do what Hull. We lost Gestede and Cairney in the summer and then Rhodes in January after Lambert decided to sell him and bring in Graham. We stay up that season. then we sold Hanley and Duffy the summer after and Marshall in January. We went down but Coyle had a decent budget and we all know what he did with that budget. Hull sold their best 2 players on the last day of window and didn't bring in replacements of decent enough quality
  3. Who is going buy Ipswich? fans need to be realistic who next? I don't know tbh. maybe follow the Blackpool route or try for Nathan Jones it looks a huge mess at the minute. I wouldn't be surprise if Evans keep Lambert next season. the link you posted yesterday sounded like a guy going nowhere
  4. You named 6 players who have mostly be free transfers and likely hood low wages aswell. Would love to know who you have signed on a free transfers for 2 strikers he signed. any suggestions?
  5. I can understand using the lack of strikers available today as sort of excuse but you cant use it for their form. Ipswich have to plan the way forward for them as a club. Who would the fans want that you speak to? What status is their academy and any good players coming through?
  6. Fleetwood and Blackpool played out a nil nil draw. It has been mention about this clause in the media. Results aren't good enough. Looking at the Ipswich team today, Norwood, Keane and Jackson not playing. Sears up front and kid on bench against Top of the league was never going to be enough to win games. I would imagine Ipswich and their owner will wait until they cant get top 6 before getting rid if there is a release clause. Where Ipswich go next will be interesting? big rebuilding job there
  7. Samuelsen and Wilks have only just signed in January to be fair. always going to hard when you sell you best 2 players and don't replace them with similar quality. Eaves and Magennis were bpth free transfers so never going to be top quality are they? They have signed a striker from Motherwell James Scott for 1.5 million but he only 19 years old. You mention Honeyman in that list, he was one of Sunderland shining light in the season they were relegated from Champoionship and they weren't many IMO
  8. Hull losing 5-1 against Stoke Will Hull keep faith with McCann? I feel for him cos the club sold his best 2 players and give him nothing to get good signings in.
  9. Rochdale beating Rotherham 3 nil. That's a surprise
  10. Excellent news about Preston. Still plenty twists and turns to go. Need to win tomorrow
  11. Blackpool playing well at Fleetwood so far. Still nil nil tho
  12. Hull going down. 3 nil down at Stoke. McCann has been stuffed by the club selling his best 2 players
  13. Thought Millwall was excellent yesterday Forest. Watched it this morning. Very impressive
  14. I would say Whitehall, Burns and Brennan. I also think Pike, Wright Philips and Harlock could be. Whitehall, centre midfielder who is leader and organiser of the team. Really look a great prospect Burns, striker, loads of energy and full of running. Reminds me of Paul Dickov in some ways. Brennan, winger, pace and ability to run with the ball. Right footer playing on left wing. Nope. Loan. Rovers like the look of him. Never going to look in at City so looking to move on to further his career perhaps from his point of view
  15. Wright philips scores 2 nil. Low shot across keeper.
  16. Burns scores great strike
  17. Burns hit over bar with great chance
  18. Playing well so far. Better team
  19. I was simply pointing out that other clubs do it aswell as us. That's is all I was pleased that fans at the Supporters consultation meeting told Waggott that the price hike does put fans off attendance. Was the on the day pay hike on ticket price in the last home game? or did Waggott get rid of it?
  20. Gallagher had a good game against Sheff Wed where we rip them apart. Armstrong playing up was unplayable that day. Fairly goodish was a comment about the entire season not just based on the last 3 games. Didn't I posted an area I thought we could improve the way we play by Rothwell not keep playing inside but staying wider at times and being less predictable?
  21. Stuart, Rovers aren't the only club to put walk on price hikes. Brentford put a 5 pounds hike on the price for on the day walk ons. Derby have put a 2 pounds hike on. Do you have a comment for these clubs?
