If Tony goes...
chaddyrovers replied to Wegerleswiggle's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I would agree we are attractive proposition with the squad we got, Money spent each season and the young players coming through now. We don't know who will apply for the job if available. We will get plenty of interest for sure. I'm not sure Pulis or Hughton will be interest but we can get a good appointment. Look at Steve Cooper who is in charge at Swansea who impressed so much during his interview he got the job there. He is doing brilliant there despite all the problems behind the scenes there. -
Trust I am very much so. Mowbray should have change it very quickly after Preston scored their 1st goal stop banging on about Cowley then. I would become a consultant for free. well look at the roles each played in the 1st half, Bennett job was to man marked Gallagher and he did such a great job of that Neil took him off. Evans played in front of back 4 and marked Johnson and did a very good job. Dack played against Pearson

He should be on any shortlist we have in the future. Done an excellent job there. -
Still angry about yesterday second half horror show.

Is that Venkys want really? Yes but you arent yet to suggest who this young manager. Wonder why? Just banging on about Cowley. He aint our manager so just move on pal
-
That is correct
-
He is managing Schalke. Do you really think he is going to leave them for us?.
-
well thanks for being honest in the 1st place. as for the Bauer point, my view is that no-one is automatic in any team. its down to performance. Would you not agree? How has Bauer been playing for you? Can I also ask why isn't Storey starting for you? you are more than welcome Stuart
-
Owners would be majority involved in the decision to give him a new contract. We don't know what in the deal
-
pointless mentioning Cowley now he's at Huddersfield But you don't mention any names for this young dynamic manager you want? why is this? You really think Waggott gave Mowbray a new contract? really? That would be done by the owners not by him. Would Ainsworth be a target of ours? Would for me, along with Damien Johnson, Pearson, Carvalhl, Adkins. You can add Pulis and Hughton if you wish if their your choice
-
can you name who these players was please? Does Hughes even want back into management? we not heard much from him since his days at Southampton. Would he take a job if Bowen isn't with him and the same for Eddie N and Hodges. Is he prepare to change his staff like Rowett has done at Millwall now compare to Birmingham days. I didn't hear a thing

my views on the game, 1st half we were excellent and played so well that Neil had to change it. We started 4-1-4-1 formation with Evans sat infront of back 4 with Armstrong right Rothwell left and Dack and Bennett in centre. Bennett was pick in there to stop Gallagher playing and he did so well Neil withdraw him. and change the players around in the same formation. 1st half we were at it and defend brilliant and so confidently. Gallagher took his goals well and played so really. At Half time was impressed and thought this was the turning point, how wrong was here. I knew at half time we need to get that 3rd goal to win the game. # Second Half we gifted them a goal by a mistake by Walton. He should have catch the ball and be sure it was his. Not gift them a chance. After they scored we need to change it tactical and personal. Mowbray did neither and it costed us big time. It was a pen but felt several decisions by the ref was soft for them. Pearson is such a cry baby for supposedly a hard man. We didn't get the 50/50 off the ref. After it went 3-2 I know we were never coming back. The Graham sub was pointless and Rothwell should have gone off earlier to bring on Downing. The centre backs were bullied by Stockley and someone like Craig Short would have sorted him out. We lack a proper leader at the back and its costly us badly now. Mowbray was very quiet and I noticed never stood in the touchline like usual. Maybe he knows its done for him. I don't know. I feel that it didn't have to be this way if he made the signings we needed in the keeper and defence areas. We all know what we needed in the summer and failure to deliver what we needed should cost him his job. I love Mowbray for the job he has done but its feels like he took us as far as he can. very sad day for me. None of Rovers coaching staff stood up really during the game which is really odd. Just like not bring on Travis which we need during the second half

Walking back to car park now in a very angry and annoyed mood. First half was brillant but as soon they scored we werent good enough. Mowbray has to go. He didnt anything. Didnt even come over to the fans after the game. I do a full report when home. ?

The Lonsdale Social club is where Rovers fans can go and park for free. Hot/cold food is available plus drinks. Just off Fulwood Hall Lane

He been working at football clubs for the last 15 years. Charlton, Coventry, Gillingham, Southend and us So if Waggott does leave who appoint the new manager/head coach.and how long do we wait for a new CEO? 6 months.
-
If we did go the foriegn route we would need a sporting director. Not sure Waggott has the knowledge of overseas head coaches. If Mowbray goes, Johnson will get the job imo which I would be happy with but he needs sporting director above him imo
-
The team I think Mowbray will pick today Walton Nyambe Tosin Williams Bell Travis Evans Bennett Dack Rothwell Graham
-
Sadly I not blackburn rovers owner
-
Me and you both agree on the sporting director/head coach structure. No I dont. His summer recruitment was poor and not the type of signings we need this season. We didnt need to spend 5 mil on another striker when we needed a top class centre defender and experience keeper. Plus 2 full backs. Only 1 of those 4 signings were signed. Massive mistake by Mowbray
-
If Hughton turned down Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday then would he come here? Hasn't Lee Bowyer just signed a new contract? isn't Javi Garcia more used to being head coach and working with sporting director? Cant see Hughes coming back into management as his trusted backroom team have jobs and promotions in some ways
-
would you look towards a foreign appointment? surely we would need to move to Sporting Director/head coach structure I mention someone like Carvalhl as a possible candidate,

we need an leader in centre defender. Its a shame we never move for Jansson or Hector. Massive own goal by Mowbray. Just like an experience keeper one. I like Walton and think on the all he been very decent but a young number 1 keeper wasn't what we need. Mowbray wanted Darlow but his wages were too much as Waggott told the fans forum at the time. Then sign a young keeper as number 2. Then we need a right back and left back. We signed Cunningham but not a right back. We didn't need to spend 5 mil for another striker and with Mowbray and number 2 being defenders you would think they would be strong defensively
