  1. I agree I would play more test cricket but the cricketing world is more interested in t20 cricket and ODI I would like to see Malan and Possible Broad dropped for Livingstone and Curran in. I commented on Buttler being picked was a big kick in the mouth for county cricketers who have playing the season whilst he was at the IPL I think the entire cricket broads have decide t20 and ODI s more important than Test cricket. I prefer test cricket every day of the week. I cant see Bayliss going anywhere with Strauss on leave due to wife ill health(rightly so) and I don't see any decision being taken by Flower or Smith without Strauss involvement and Authorising it. I was disappoint to see Smith appointed as national selector and I would have prefer someone like Lloyd, Hussain or Atherton appointed to that role. I think Mickey Arthur is a lot easier cos he has younger players who will listen and learn from him and his staff. Similar to when we had Fletcher and Flower in charge. Fletcher was a great coach and Flower was great player and great coach. Who would all 3 of you like to see replace Bayliss as the Test head coach? Farbrace? Flower? Collingwood? I would like to see Farbrace and Collingwood take over the test side. I also think its time will revamp the test side with younger players like Curran, Livingstone, Joe Clarke, Gubbins. agree on the 100 balls comp comment Kamy
  2. From Nixon Blackburn. Clear favourites in Frank Fielding race. Competition for Raya.
  3. I dont feel for Shrewsbury one bit. Thats football. Yes Hurst did amazing job there and deserve all the credit. Hope he does well at Ipswich this season. Who next for Shrewsbury? Maybe Grayson or Keith Curle?
  4. Firstly not my info. Source Pete O'Rourke who got alot of our transfers links/info right last summer/winter. Do you rate him? Can you tell me what type of striker he is? Target man or a pacey striker? Thanks in advance
  5. QPR, Blackburn, Charlton, Bradford, Burton and Fleetwood eye Stevenage striker Danny Newton. #StevenageFC #QPR #Rovers #cafc #bcafc #bafc #FTFC https://t.co/Z59qvPHOWy
  6. Paul Hurst is the new manager of Ipswich Town Football Club, signing a three-year deal at Portman Road ? https://t.co/DD2LYNUBjv https://t.co/57ri6WkSyw
  7. Said most Scottish players arent good enough for championship standard of football. And stand by that. But yes you find a good player and that will develop into a very good player.
  8. Rovers want to move quickly with summer recruitment drive http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16256269.Rovers_want_to_move_quickly_with_summer_recruitment_drive/ From the article above Rovers have been linked with Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn and out-of-contract Walsall man Erhun Oztumer but neither players is on the club’s radar at this stage.
  9. Many countries have batting collapses Jim. England problems are quality of county cricket, pitches and when games are played. I wouldnt sack Bayliss as the one day and t20 form is good.. If he was to go I would go for Paul Farbrace with Collingwood as number 2. Also like to see Gough involve part time.
  10. Fifa? Blimey havent played the game in years. Being 33 years old, I'm abit too old for playing computer games and spent my spare time watching Rovers and football plus spending time with my missus, kids, family and friends. I would be happy with Lenihan and Mulgrew as the back 2 or part back 3. We didnt go dowm cos of those 2 but of a certain manager and his crap tactics. I would look at Liam Linsday from Barnsley. Good centre back who fits Mowbray comments the age bracket he looking at Fair enough. Thanks for that. Can you explain what you like so much about him? Shame but good luck to him if he gets his move.
  11. Antonsson future http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16256558.Marcus_Antonsson_s_agent_discusses_ex-Rovers_loanees_future/?ref=mac
  12. They have rumours in the media that Bayliss might be sack as Test coach with him just focusing on odi and t20. I wouldnt be favour of this cos I dont think the problem is the coach. But when 4 day cricket is played. The quality of the pitches played on. Far too much t20 and One day games played.
  13. Just been watching these North vs South games on Sky over the past week. (Just highlights and interviews) It was played in West Indies in Feb or March I think. Players who performed were Joe Clarke, Nick Gubbins, Mahmood from Lancs, Jennings. Glesson Coach for the North was Paul Collingwood Coach for the South was Mark Ramparkash.
  14. Surprised? Nobody knows the budget on here. Mowbray and his staff keep alot in house and rightly so Are Forest going places? Is Karanka the right type of manager for him? Wrong again Stuart but hey ho. I watched alot of championship football Stuart and a couple outstanding teams and both went up. We have nothing to fear from most teams at this level. Boro, Derby, Villa, Sheff Wed all face cutbacks in terms of wages and transfer fees. Wasnt Bolton in the championship when he played for them.
  15. Blackburn Rovers linked with Forest midfielder Ben Osborn http://the72.co.uk/103663/stoke-blackburn-chasing-forest-midfielder/
  16. I'm keen on 2 different formations being used during a season. I am still keen on us using 3-5-2 deffo. suggest out of contract players does it? I heard both were free transfers with adds on if we got promotion and they played a part in us achieving promotion He played 43 games last season for Bristol City. haven't Man Utd offered Henderson a new contract? I deffo wouldn't be concerned at all if Mowbray see 3-5-2/3-4-3 as the future. I would be happy with Lenihan, Mulgrew and Williams as 3 centre backs with Bell as left wing back and we need a right wing back to make this work along with Armstrong up front with Graham with Dack in the 10 role with Bennett and Smallwood in centre midfield. Lenihan has it proved championship as a centre half?
  17. 4-4-2? We mostly played 4-2-3-1 all season. If Mowbray switch to 3-5-2 formation I wouldnt have a problem as we have the players to suit us. Probably need right wing back and Armstrong to make this work. Isnt Antonsson on 6k week? Naive??? Haha. Or just believe in Mowbray totally. Big fan of his management, the way he talks to fans, open and honest communication and want the best for this club. Wouldnt say Samuel was a miss either. He scored goals that won us games. I probably say undecided. The other 5 miss you put in 4 were free and Harper was a loan.
  18. Judging on few games ive seen him. Ive not been impressed. Ive seen their 4 live games on sky in past month plus 2 games against us. Not someone I would be looking at..
  19. I wouldnt sign Byrne if I was in control.
  20. Is there anything to suggest Mowbray is interest in Nsiala?
  21. I wouldn't sign Burne at all. massive attitude problems and thinks he better than he is. another Nick Powell. I would be massive disappointed if we signed him. from media reports and Tom's post on here about us signing Davenport from City it looks like he is the one centre midfield we need.
  22. I believe Mowbray will bring in quality players regarding of how much he got to spend. He knows his stuff and I back him 100% to do the right thing Bargain bin? how we even shop in that bin under Mowbray. Mowbray sounds from his interviews that he is very happy with the budget and happy to work within that. He already met some players and agents. not impressed by him yesterday and doesn't strike me as a Mowbray type of player.
