Firstly, why didnt you answer this point? on Manager wages, you clearly don't remember the conversation me, you and Pete on twitter a few weeks/month ago about wages and how much we pay tho. Do you not remember? Look at what I said about the Forest game and 1st and 2nd half so I dont have to keep repeating myself to you.. I explained this yesterday why I was annoyed at the performance and said I couldnt complained if Mowbray was sack. Surely this would answer your question
-
well I'm sorry but if you thought we were shite against Forest you must have been watching a different game to me and to the people I spoke to about the game. I would say our final ball in the first half wasn't good enough but second half we got better. Look at our goal against Forest was that Stodgy, slow, lethargic? The vast majority of games this season we have played a 4-2-3-1- formation. We switch to 3 at the back against Millwall. so I cant see the argument there. I don't see how you can Holtby, Dack or Rothwell in the same team for me unless all 3 play behind a striker but for me I wouldn't even tho I picked it for this game or previous one. on Manager wages, you clearly don't remember the conversation me, you and Pete on twitter a few weeks/month ago about wages and how much we pay tho. Do you not remember? Bowyer is a former Charlton player, Club is in takeover talks and would he want to come here.

Stuart Webber the Norwich Sporting Director has done a great job with Norwich and Huddersfield through recruitment that has in able the head coach to get them promoted. Venkys has employed it a couple of times but not give it time. Simon Hunt with Kean and Senior with Coyle and Mowbray

well I have show you after every game the stats are showing we are playing more and more short passes and less Long Ball. I find our style of play is effective to a certain point then our final pass or cross isn't good enough. Look at the goals yesterday when we provide quality we score or won a penalty. Look at Forest game and our goal. Or quality of passing was good until that final pass/cross. I don't find it horrible to watch as I like to watch possession based football. My main worry is the lack of chances for the number 9 striker Every manager change the team from game to game. 1 or 2 changes is standard in Modern football. Forest and Preston did think regular but still manage to pick up results. I'm not even sure I could name our strongest team atm. I watched it on a link. I was annoyed on the defending for each goal and our quality in the final third as I said in the match thread last night. We pushed for someone a bit more ambitious? but we don't pay big wages on manager. I cant see Hughton or Bowyer being interested for the reasons I stated before. Like I said before I'm unsure who I would go for. But I would like to see a football structure in place there as I posted before
-
surely that is where you need a sporting director in place with loads of European experience like Stuart Webber or Phil Giles or Mike Rigg I think Johnson would be a good choice But he needs the right structure around him. I would like to see Sporting Director appoint and Johnson needs a good number 2 with him League is wide open this season. No outstanding teams and that include Leeds who even 3 defeats already./
-
Not trying to prove anything at all Stuart Ive been honest that im unsure who I would appoint if Mowbray was to go.. Fair enough suggestion
-
Johnson does the defensive warm ups before the game but he isnt responsibiliy for that rubbish display Any names for this type of manager or has he been mention on here?
-
Yes I have seen a change in style and us playing much more of passing game. If you seen the game you will know that our final third play for majority of game was awful. When we deliver quality we scored or created problems. Also defending like we had yesterday will see us nowhere near top 6. Play like we did yesterday and we aren't getting top 6. simple as. Question is what are the owners thinking atm and who would pick the next manager Waggott or Pasha or both? Charlton owner is in talks with a possible new owner and I don't see him leaving them for us. Simple as. Rowett is 1st choice at Millwall to replace Harris. Like I said to you before I'm unsure who I would appoint if we had an vacancy in the manager seat. I have spoken about us changing our football structure to a more of European structure with a sporting director/head coach like Norwich and Villa have. Plus also who would the manager/head coach bring in as his coaching staff is also important well I'm never seen Mowbray the way he was yesterday with the press yet again mate, I had no problem with the Gallagher signing but like I did say at the time to you that Mowbray 1st priorities this summer should have been Centre back, Keeper and Full back. Not a striker. I think that is pointing to a man under pressure or a man is getting fed up with the players not doing their jobs properly defensively
-
Why didnt Mowbray buy a centre half like Jansson? (This summer) He wanted Gallagher last summer and went back for him even tho we had Brereton. Questions for Mowbray to asked at fans forum.
-
Look at what I said properly. "If Mowbray was to be sack I couldn't complain. The aim this season was top 6/playoffs push as Mowbray said. He has been backed by the owners in terms of wages and money spend on signings." "Every time we get close to that top 6 we seem to take 2 steps back. " Questions need to help if we can achieve this season and does Mowbray have the ability to achieve this target. Like I said I dont see Hughton coming anywhere near Blackburn Rovers. His wages are well above what we pay out. Plus he turned down Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday. Bowyer,.another one I canf see anywhere near us. Questions need to be asked over recruitment this summer and Brereton transfer. All down to what Venkys want this season.
-
I wouldn't have sack him either last season Stuart. Well not of us know what conversations are going on between the owners and Waggott. I cant see them being happy with the current position in league but has Mowbray got enough credit in the bank to survive this. All knows. Bowyer was sacked on 10th November 2015. Replace by Lambert on 16th November 2015. Coyle was sacked on 21st February
-
Well no surprise from you. Thankgod the next game is 2 weeks time. Well of course I want to win the next game. Why would I want to lose a game for? Do you? Kamy put on twitter he cannot see any change of manager currently. Nixon saying the same
-
Manager and players should. after listening to Mowbray's BBC Radio Lancs interview sounds very downbeat and maybe time is up. Depends what the owners and Waggott are telling him. Cant see the owners being happy with 14th place after their spending over 15 mins in fees for players and much money in wages. You at least expect some return from it.
-
very sad to read that Jim.
-
great effort guys for attending the match guys.
-
well Stuart what do you think of my recent posts on the thread I'm unsure whether he would drop down to Championship. I think they only way he manage another PL club is via promotion with championship club
-
I just expected alot better from this week of 3 games. 1 point isn't good enough. It also the manner of the defeat and the goals we conceded. Well seem to get some close to top 6 then we take 2 or 3 step backwards. its getting very annoying for me. is that your suggestion JB who you would pick? Johnson would deffo be on my shortlist for the job. Nope! Ainsworth could be another Chris Wilder for me. Hopefully not another Nathan Jones.
-
Sounds very flat and almost like he knows his time is up. Never heard him so downbeat and almost pi$$ off. The owners will be putting pressure on him. Put Waggott should be aswell as CEO of Blackburn Rovers

on Radio Lancs or Rovers website

If Mowbray was to be sack I couldn't complain. The aim this season was top 6/playoffs push as Mowbray said. He has been backed by the owners in terms of wages and money spend on signings. Brereton looks a massive mistake by Mowbray. He wanted Gallagher but Southampton wanted too much then so he went for Brereton. Maybe another manager could get more out Brereton then Mowbray has. Now on the Gallagher signing We should have signed a centre back like Hector or Jansson. So why didn't he? big question to answer there. Every time we get close to that top 6 we seem to take 2 steps back. Now lets look at likely candidates and the staff they tend to work with. 1. Damien Johnson. Done a very good job with the under 23's side over the last 3 years before his promotion to the 1st team. Question would be who would he have on his staff? I don't know. 2. Nigel Pearson. Has promotion on his CV and knows this league well. He tend to work with Craig Shakespeare as his number 2. But also has Steve Walsh as his DoF. would our owners allow that? No idea. 3. David Moyes. He hasn't manage at this level for a number of years. would he step down and take this job? no idea. He tend to work with Alan Irvine and Billy McKinlay. 4. Nigel Adkins. Knows this league very well and has Promotion on his CV. Experience at this level. Tend to work with Andy Crosby. 5. Gary Rowett. Another manager with experience at this level. Solid Championship manager until the Stoke situation mess. His staff at Stoke was Kevin Philips, Callum Davidson and Mark Sale. 6. Karanka. has promotion on his CV. knows the league. 7. Gareth Ainsworth. Doing an excellent job at Wycombe in League 1. worked miracles there after all the financial problems. Blackburn Rovers fan. 8. Chris Coleman. Decent manager. Did a top job at Wales. Works with Kit Symons as his number 2. I haven't include Hughton due to him turning down the Sheff Wed and Stoke City. rumoured he wants a PL club. Doubt Pulis would come. Jokanovic is managing a club in Qatar so I very doubt we could compete Wages wise. Wagner is managing at Schalke in Germany so he aint leaving them for us. No chance in hell at all. unsure if Hughes would come but he always works with Mark Bowen. Also another consideration is that Rovers don't pay big wages for managers so it might restrict who we get in maybe. Hope this helps people

poor performance. Some nice and tidy play at times until the final 3rd when it was very poor. When we cross the ball well we either score or created danger but far too late. Williams at fault 2 of the 4 goals. Should be doing better from Experience player. Bell poor at the back post for the 1st goal. Nothing Walton come do with any of the goals. Attacking wise, 1st half-nothing to report of note. 2nd half better when the game was over with. For me, We missed Travis badly. 1 points from 3 games is simply not good enough. Expect at least 6 points if we want playoffs push. Final note, well played to any supporter who went today and they deserved alot better then they got.

Simon Garner on Radio Lancs saying Dack having loads of space. not man marking him
