  1. Cos under 23's football isnt 1st team football Stuart. Well Tony Crass has been filling in. Who runs the academy coaching staff
  2. Its a very good point you have made there? First team formation is mostly 4-2-3-1 whilst the under 23's formation is mostly 3-4-2-1 is Billy Barr a old school coach? surely you would agree that bringing Johnson into the first team coaching setup is good thing? Depends who applied for job and what each person bring to the table in terms of coaching ability and how good each person is
  3. Failing managers at Rovers? Like who? Mowbray hasnt failed here Stuart. We could agree on Coyle, Kean as failing manager.
  4. What do you mean same as me? Stuart, i asked the question cos I know you watch some of Rovers under 23's football.
  5. Huddersfield owner didnt look happy. Fans are clearly unhappy.
  6. @Stuart, can I please ask how much of the under 18's you have seen under Billy Barr?
  7. Thanks for sharing that. Do you know if Jimmy Shan apply for job? Agree Parson
  8. Huddersfield sacked head coach Siewert https://www.htafc.com/news/2019/august/club-statement-jan-siewert/
  9. Nyambe has gone backwards in the 12 months. We need a right back who is good at going forward and defending. Sadly Nyambe isnt that player.
  10. She clearly doesnt have a clue
  11. I like Bennett alot but for me we should have gone Sam Byram before he went Norwich
  12. He was bloody awful. No where near good enough at right back. For me, Bennett is much better.
  13. Walton Bennett Lenihan Williams Cunningham Travis Johnson Rothwell Dack Downing Gallagher Subs:- Leutwiler Tosin Chapman Armstrong Graham Brereton Evans
  14. I think every game at this level is tough and every team offer different problems whether its Cardiff to a Barnsley let say. Thats what makes this league for me. I spoke about a Sporting director/head coach structure being employ by the club. Similar to Norwich or Brentford structure. So the head coach can focus more on coaching the team and less focus recruitment but still making the final decision who we sign with the sporting director. Whilst Sporting Director focus on recriitnent, scouting and negotiating transfer deals. We have have 2 director of football during Venkys time. Shebby Singh and Paul Senior.
  15. I agree we should have inquest into why we didnt get targets we want. Whether it was down to transfer fee, wages demands, fees being higher than we thought. I dont know why Venus is involved in things like that. How does Waggott have little power? Why he is the making the deal? Everyone report to him apart from Pasha? Mowbray has said he had nothing to do with Waggott appointment. Do you trust his word? You have seen my views on the structure and what I would like to happen. Do you agree my view? Think he was talking about our opening few games like Fulham, Cardiff, Boro and WBA
  16. Didnt we try for 3 or 4 centre backs targets in the last couple of days of window but none successful. Im surprise we havent sign a free agent centre back up like Ashley Williams or Joe Lynch. Mowbray seems to be pinning his job on Tosin? Must have alot of belief in him.
  17. Yes Dack is good mates with Mulgrew. But also credit Mowbray for bringing the best out of his playing career. Dack had the desire and passion back on Tuesday night. Plenty of effort there
  18. I very doubt this. Maybe one or 2 players but most will get on with it.
  19. Thanks for the reply Matty. My view is he should have got rid sooner. We need younger experience back around 27 or 28 to replace him. I think Tosin will be good signing but he is still young. Mowbray has his squad now. Time for him to deliver and cant have any excuses now. He made his signings. I wouldnt make some of these signings he did. My 1st 2 signings would have been experience centre back and keeper.
  20. Do you not agree that it was right time(this transfer window) to move Mulgrew on?
  21. I think Mowbray got very lucky last night. His attitude with the media has changed this season from a calm manner to one that seems annoyed alot. I do agree with the decision to let Mulgrew leave but why wasn't this make sooner I don't know aswell as a few squad players like Smallwood, Evans. Plus he got his transfer business was wrong for a number of reasons, 1. not bring in an experience keeper, 2. no experience centre back sign, 3 no right back sign. Why these players wasn't signed I don't know, wold love to know the reasons why. Mowbray's style of play change hasn't worked for some reasons and I was expecting a faster quickly more movement style of play. Sadly this hasn't worked out. We have still more questions than answers currently. Mowbray has problems to sort out and he needs to do so quickly. He needs to improve results very quickly otherwise I think he been gone by the international break in October. Mowbray said he wanted top 6 this season but for me, we are still lacking in a couple of areas
  22. It was shocking performance tbh. 1st half, no tempo, no movement, Smallwood and Evans too deep and Nyambe very poor at right back. Nyambe has no confidence at all. Downing on the right didn't work cos he was too deep and kept cutting in all the time. Buckley look lost on the left. Brereton should have score at least 1 but I do feel that he has never played properly by Mowbray and was signed when Mowbray couldn't get Gallagher last summer. 2nd half, things changed when Rothwell, Chapman and Dack came on. Dack wanted it last night for the 1st time all season and look like he had a point to prove. Goals well taken by Dack, Downing and Rothwell. I feel sorry for Platt and Grayson cos both need an experience centre back next to them. Not young player. I was impressed by Cunningham tho. Mowbray got lucky last night cos his starting team wasn't right. They was no angry towards Mowbray from where I sit in Blackburn End by the fans. But fans around me did discuss certain players not good enough like Smallwood and Evans. Smallwood was angry he was subbed off. Walk down the tunnel but did come back to watch the rest of the team. We also discussed how slow we played tempo wise. Plus we did discuss whether he will be here if results continue to be poor. I think the owners will give him to the international window in October. Then decide if he is the right man for the promotion bid. I will discuss alot more in the Mowbray Out about my overall view on him
  23. Rovers closing in a new under 23's head coach acvording to LT
  24. Looking JRC, Grayson will play
  25. Cunningham to start tonight..
