  1. If he takes us up he deserves a chance but personally I would dump him anyway. Anything less than playoffs he needs to go
  2. Hes been more lucky than anything strategic on this run. It's obvious he will never have what it takes to get rovers promoted
  3. But in general the title race is a 2 team league in Spain. Juventus and inter usually win it in Italy. In England it's been Chelsea City Liverpool Leicester over the past few years but u are right it is an anomaly
  4. It's still better than two team la liga 1 team Bundesliga 1 team league un and 2 team seria a
  5. Weird that maguire is shocking for man utd but solid for England. Probably because he has two far better holding midfielders in rice and Phillips in front of him than mctominay or fred/pogba
  6. Why involve Scotland or Wales. Would rather have an England bid. The Scots and Welsh hate us. Their forums are always full of anti English bollocks. Scotland Wales Ireland should have a Celtic nations bid
  7. He thinks he's michels and rovers are the 1974 total dutch football team
  8. I'm not arguing it would be a great achievement but there's no doubt Souness and Dalglish were far better managers. I would have far more trust in them keeping us up than Mowbray. I just think if we go up it would be the perfect time to appoint someone better
  9. I'm really talking about our promotion season. Yes rovers were in a playoff position at the time but he got us over the line. I doubt Mowbray could gey rovers up through the playoffs
  10. Kenny and Souness business was as shrewd as mowbray's. They didn't spend absolute millions on players. Souness inherited an underperforming Dunn and jansen and turned them into stars. He also brought in the likes of friedel on a free loaned in berkovic. Spent a few hundred grand on the likes of byornabye. He turned rovers around in less than a season and a half
  11. They were managers who quickly turned around rovers fortunes plus they were already proven. They were trustworthy of keeping rovers in the premiership. I very much doubt Mowbray could keep rovers up
  12. I wouldn’t class any of those players top signings. Markanday is potential nothing more same as zeefiuk. Giles has only done it half a season
  13. Hes an average player who runs up and down the line. Doesn't do much with the ball. I really Don't rate Williams one bit
  14. Any normal club second in the league would push the boat out. Not spend a few hundred grand on players with potential or average to middling players. I could understand if we were a Barnsley or similar but rovers are a big club with multi millionaire owners. This window has been a big let down but what's new.
  15. How do u know Bournemouth don't have complete togetherness?
  16. Remember when rovers were last in 2nd place fighting with Fulham for promotion. Who did we bring in? Eyal berkovich. Oh for those days
  17. U really think that rovers or Mowbray plan anything? This season after the Fulham game has been based as much as stumbling onto a lucky formula than any plan. Things could easily have panned out the other way fighting relegation. Have u heard of the saying strike while the iron is hot? Rovers will probably never get this chance again. I doubt Mowbray has the foresight to muster another promotion challenge next season if things don't pan out. This is the ultimate Window to really make a statement but it looks like that's too much for those within the rovers hierarchy
