Ismael wouldn’t look out of place in Madame Tussaud’s. He’s got absolutely nothing about him. Stands there frozen in time. Cannot stand him. Eustace may have had an average squad overachieving but this bloke will take us down next season, no doubts at all on that. -

Said so many times this season that under Eustace I was back to the enjoyment of the Hughes era. Not based purely on the results, but just lost all enthusiasm under Ismael. Was prepared to give him a chance but it’s awful, just awful. Completely lost interest. -
Can’t really add anything that hasn’t been said, but the future looks bleak. Two managers in Eustace & Lowe at least produced some results with these players. They look so un-interested under Ismael and the passing is absolutely woeful. Every time the camera panned to Ismael it looked like the tv had paused. Would have been encouraging to see some kind of fight from him. Poor appointment confirmed for me.

Out of interest, whilst on my lunch break, a quick look at the poll list candidates win rate (%) Excluding caretaker roles. Only included Allardyce' last two roles as I don't think he'd really be under consideration and don't have time to include all of his jobs!. Included our last three managers for comparison. Aitor Karanka (Middlesbrough) 46.80 Richie Wellens (Leyton Orient) 45.86 Rob Edwards (Forest Green Rovers) 45.28 Jon Dahl Tomasson (Blackburn Rovers) 44.44 Ryan Lowe (Plymouth Argyle) 42.97 Ryan Lowe (Bury) 42.67 Richie Wellens (Swindon Town) 42.17 Tony Mowbray (Blackburn Rovers) 40.45 Ryan Lowe (Preston North End) 37.60 Richie Wellens (Salford City) 36.67 John Eustace (Blackburn Rovers) 34.62 Richie Wellens (Oldham Athletic) 32.56 Steven Gerrard (Aston Villa) 32.5 Gary O'Neil (Wolverhampton Wanderers) 31.75 Aitor Karanka (Nottingham Forest) 30.80 Rob Edwards (Luton Town) 30.77 Gary O'Neil (Bournemouth) 29.73 Rob Edwards (Watford) 27.27 Richie Wellens (Doncaster Rovers) 23.08 Aitor Karanka (Birmingham City) 21.10 Sam Allardyce (West Bromich Albion) 15.40 Sam Allardyce (Leeds United) 0.0 -

I did vote for Gerrard, but you have made a very valid point here and the media coverage of Gerrard kicking off about backing etc would exceed that of JDT & Eustace, so for that alone, I think they would swerve him. I think they have learnt their lesson and will go for someone now who will quietly go about their business and tow the Waggott/Pasha line. -

I've voted Gerrard too. None of the names really jump off the page to me and anyone one of them could be a hit or miss, but maybe with Gerrard's high profile, we'd get a bit more media attention! The last two Liverpool legends that managed here did alright and in fact Souness win rate at Southampton (the last English club he managed before Blackburn) was less than Gerrard's at Villa. -

Just listened in on Radio Derby to Eustace first interview to see what he had to say. Main points relevant to Blackburn was: - First approach was made on Friday. - Bought into the long term vision of the club (Derby) which backs up the rumour of assurances he was seeking with us. - Wanted to be part of a club that cares about its history. - Not had any communications with club owners since has time at Kidderminster. Time for us to move on, but was interested in what he would say. I'm sure there will be more to add as apparently a number of national press were present. -

Like him or loathe him. I guarantee Dolan signs for Derby for free in the summer. Eustace will do it to prove a point. Should get the players tied down. -

We’ve been an absolute joke of a club for years now, but I’m a little apprehensive on how we look to the outside footballing world now. On a positive note, this could highlight the shocking way the club is run and put Waggott and Venkys under proper scrutiny and finally force them to piss off. Negatively though, with so many players here on loan and contracts running down, I dread to think what our squad will look like next season. Attracting players here is hard enough with no budget, but today is just another example of the Blackburn shitshow. Brittain & Travis surely the next ones out to keep the lights on. -

Was about to post the same. Surely only going to be a manager out of work. Would like Steve Cooper, but after the Lewis O’Brien saga he was quite critical of us. Chris Hughton? Got Brighton promoted. Edit: Sacked twice since then from Forest & Ghana, so maybe not! -

From league positions alone, the PL equivalent would be Eddie Howe leaving Newcastle to take the Leicester job. I know there are huge factors that make that a poor comparison, but looking at the league tables, that’s what it is (6th v 3rd bottom) and to the outside world, questions will be asked, and honest answers will be demanded. You can argue over who is the bigger club etc, but you cannot sensibly justify why you would leave a club you have got into the playoffs, to take over a club in the relegation zone, not without some sort of transparency. Surely no one is going to ‘buy’ the closer to home reason, and as someone else mentioned, it’s a smokescreen, one you’ll have to be pretty gullible to swallow. We’ll be the laughing stock for a few weeks, but what this will do is highlight to the football world how badly run this club is. Difference with this & JDT was the latter went off to Sweden. JE is going to another English club in the same league. This one won’t get swept under the carpet so easily. -

Be gutted to see Eustace go, but if he does, no hard feelings from me and I wish him well. He hasn’t been backed so why should he jeopardise his managerial career with a club that doesn’t match his ambition. His usual positive demeanour had evaporated by the end of January, so he was clearly pissed off with the window. We’ll be scraping the barrel with our next appointment. The club is a sinking ship. Waggott doesn’t care and Venkys are not bothered at all. Who would want to come here? Rooney would probably turn us down! Eustace has far out performed the expectations of him. They didn’t back him in the window like they didn’t back JDT. Playoffs were never in the script. There is no ambition to go back up. There never will be. The club is being torn to shreds and in July, when a threadbare squad is all that remains, League One is inevitable. -

Genuinely shocked by some of the negative comments regarding Beck. Was up and down the pitch all game and for me looked our best player. Not saying he was 10/10, but 3/10 a bit unfair! -

Got to start making and taking the opportunities when we are on top. QPR subs changed the game for them and put them on top. So many individual poor performances from us. Cantwell was shocking when he came on. ACD not much better. Beck our best player tonight. -

2-1 down and bringing on Forshaw 🤦🏼♂️ Inviting QPR to attack. We should be putting them under the cosh and forcing them to defend 🤷🏼♂️ -
