Many on here were scathing of Eustace last season until he saved us with two unlikely victories against Leeds and Leicester. He struggled big time to get wins rather than draws. Whilst I am not exactly thrilled with the appointment of VI, I feel we’ve got to give him a chance to show his quality or lack of it. Teams can take quite a few games to adjust to a new manager’s style of play, just look at Derby. At least if he is an absolute car crash of a manager he won’t get us relegated this year and we can start next year with a different manager. The board will also be held responsible for screwing up yet another promising position.

People protesting by not attending matches is understandable, but nevertheless futile, as the board and more especially Venkies are not capable of putting 2 and 2 together to make 4. The only way we can get let them know of the deep dissatisfaction with the Venkies is to attend all the games and protest loud and clear “ Venkies out”. Unfortunately this could have a negative effect on the morale of the players, but if it ultimately results in Venkies reappraising their ownership status, then I’m guessing that most fans would accept the risk involved.

After that performance against Derby, surely there has to be protests against Waggot, Pasha and Venkies. I’m not blaming the players I’m blaming the quality of the Jan recruits and the lateness of them. It almost feels like a deliberate sabotage of our playoff chances.

We were getting up a head of steam and really pressuring a tiring Norwich side when that second yellow came. I didn’t think it was a yellow card though. Crisenie’s theatrical rolling over and over got him booked. A weak refereeing decision, one of many unfortunately.

Like every new Rovers manager, I’ll support them until they don’t deserve to be supported. I wasn’t sure of Eustace at first, but look how he turned out. I guess we shouldn’t just dismiss a new manager as rubbish, as I am prone to do, just because he has had winless runs of form. Look at Eustace last season and recently, yet we nearly all wanted him to stay. I wish him luck and his management style might be successful in the short term at least, which with 12 games remaining is all that we need. If his downfall is when we’re in the Premiership I for one will take that.

Is it just me or is everyone depressed about what appears to be our choices - Ismael or Wagner?!! If we fail to get in the playoffs because of our cheapskate incompetent senior management, then I can sadly see me stopping supporting Rovers after 62 years.

Great players often don’t make very good managers. I don’t get the love in with Duff, just because he has done well in a tin pot league. It’s only because he’s an ex Rovers player.

Are you inferring that Eustace didn’t want him and was dragging his feet agreeing to the transfer. I thought that they just didn’t want to pay the asking price.

Totally agree. Going off his performances with the England senior squad, I wouldn’t want Carsley, he’s a bit too gung-ho and would undo what had got us the success so far. We are a very good, tight knit disciplined unit, which is hard to beat. That is exactly what we need to garner the points we need to qualify for the playoffs. If it ain’t broken don’t fix it.

My view would be to get as many supporters as possible (good time for the abstainers to attend) in the ground, at the next home game and all chant “Venkies out” for the entire game. That would be difficult to ignore and would get media attention. Sadly there are still too many deluding themselves that we won’t survive without the Venkies. 😡

I thought that he’d just been managing in Ireland. Even if he has done really well there it is one heck of a jump from managing there to the championship, or have I missed something?
