I am currently in South Africa at the moment, is there any way of watching the game today. As it’s an FA cup game I assume that it’s not available on Rovers tv? -
I currently live in Devon so don’t really get to support Rovers too often, but I’m still obsessed with them, it’s like a drug you can’t give up. I wish I could though as it’s been going on now for 62 years and I’m sure it’s not good for my health, especially my mental health!! I really want new owners before I finally kick the bucket. I don’t want my days and weekends ruined a club owned by morons.

It’s a completely different ball game if we actually get in the prem. Apart from Tronstad, Travis and Brittain I wouldn’t be renewing any of the other contracts because they’re not good enough. Obviously when we don’t go up it’s a different “kettle of fish”. However, I still wouldn’t renew Dolan’s or Hedge’s contracts. You can’t fault their efforts, but moves fall apart when they get involved.

Totally agree. Sheer incompetence by the senior management who are responsible for securing new recruits. -

Dolan, Hedges, Gueye, Buckley, Cantwell and Weiman all extremely poor tonight. No quality on display tonight including the manager who, I thought, got his substitutions all wrong. -

Another 3 points dropped curtesy of our excellent recruitment team. Sign players so late that they can’t play until after our playoff chances go down the pan. Absolute amateurs!!! -

The one thing that that the signings have delivered on is pace, experience and players who, albeit not currently, know where the back of the net is. I feel that Eustace will be pretty content with what he has to work with. However, let’s hope that Tronstad gets back quicker than expected as it will tighten up our defensive situation, which is badly needed. btw contrary to most people’s view on here, I think Woodrow playing as a no. 10 could be a master stroke. He was brilliant at Barnsley playing there and like many players who fare poorly when played in a football style not suited to their game, he could shine again playing under Eustace. -

Am I happy with transfers? So so, but it matters more that Eustace is happy. He has shown he can work wonders with players so let’s see how they all pan out in a few weeks time I’m disappointed though, to put it mildly, that once again our shitty owners have missed a great opportunity to cement their place in the playoffs. We’re fighting for 2 playoff spots (5th &6th) because we have dropped too many points as we didn’t sign players at the beginning of the window. That has meant we are too far adrift of the top 4 places. With the money previously brought in and being in a great position with FFP, any half competent owners could have matched the spending of the top four and given us an opportunity of an automatic promotion. We still have the opportunity to get promoted so that gives us hope. Unfortunately WBA and Boro have made some strong signings so we can’t really afford to have another bad run of defeats. The signings offer hope of promotion nothing more. -

Useless tossers. Throw more points away, it’s worth the £200k we saved by holding out a little longer. Total morons in charge!! -

It wouldn’t surprise me, but after he tore us apart at home park I would love cissoko as well. Two fast wingers would be very welcome indeed. -

Kargbo can also play as a striker so we may still need Cissoko as well. Fingers crossed. -

Eustace wants quality additions to the squad I.e. players better than what we already have, that can go into the first team and make a real difference. We all want that. However, “quality” is a very subjective term and so can be interpreted differently by different people. Unfortunately for us, the people deciding what determines quality are our moronic, penny pinching, senior management team!! Quality found at “Poundland” and quality found at M & S or John Lewis are two very different things. Eustace is hoping for something from M & S, but he’ll be sadly disappointed when, if he’s “lucky”, he gets quality from Poundland or more likely the charity shop. SW and Suhail will gleefully announce that they have delivered what the manager asked for and supported the team to reach the playoffs, but will only have filled a squad with bench fillers. Venkies will be happy because they haven’t been asked for more funds and expect the fans to be happy and grateful. I hope that if this turns out to be scenario come the end of the window, the true Rovers fans will give them hell. -

Starving the team of fresh players to get them at a cheaper price later in the window is a nonsense strategy. Our players are out on their feet and more than likely playing whilst carrying injuries. No wonder mistakes are being made leading to us dropping valuable points. If we miss out on the playoffs by a point or goal difference, like we did two years ago, the £200k or so saved on a player will seem very foolish. If we could pay £1M to get in the playoffs at that point we probably would. Obviously that wouldn’t be possible, but in principle we would, so why not pay the premium to get players in at the start of the window so that our momentum is continued and we don’t drop extremely valuable points. The hierarchy at Rovers are morons without any common sense. In my humble opinion they are merely pretending to care whilst doing and spending the absolute minimum in order to keep the fans from revolting. Even if, by some amazing chance, they spend a lot of money ( by Rovers standards) on a player/players it will still be poor management because we have lost too many points waiting to get them in. Venkies and Rovers management want to do everything on the cheap, they have no passion for Rovers at all, it is just a job to them, which is totally unacceptable. We need people in charge who share the same passion as us fans. Sadly this will never happen whilst Venkies are in charge. Rant over. -

Adam Armstrong seems to be on the bench at Southampton most of the time, would he be available for a loan? I very much doubt it, but that would be an epic loan as he is lethal in the championship. -

Or it could be we’re only going to sign loans and they don’t get sanctioned until the end of the window. -

I think he has scored 10 goals in all competitions so far this season. He plays like a younger version of Cantwell but can shoot and head the ball (he’s 6’2”).
