  1. Near home and s nice signing on fee. Whatever rocks your boat. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/nyambe-blackburn-rovers-wigan-athletic-24967906
  2. It is if we keep our striker.
  3. “It's normal when it's a young group, we are in transition and this is a project. It will take time” 😳😳🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️
  4. I’ve got a massive 771 page transfer gossip hangover. I am still scrolling the page in case the FA teleprinter jammed and we got Styles over the line. Or perhaps a stonking free transfer out of contract snip from Fernatsary who is a forgotten gem with an English passport and has been a successful 20 goal a season man in a top league. Where’s my aeropress and single origin coffee?
  5. Delighted to see these comments. Shameful sAys the Goodison News https://www.goodisonnews.com/2022/09/01/everton-make-eleventh-hour-phone-call-to-blackburn-rovers-to-negotiate-ben-brereton-diaz-valuation/ As I mentioned a few chapters back, which business waits until the last minute and then tries to negotiate on the phone. They know the Venkys stance. Pay up or shut up. i do believe they want Brereton to stay and help us get into a play off position. They do have ambition for the club and are prepared to take a chance with a quality player. The beat goes on. 🎼👏🎸
  6. Interesting comment Mowbray made about his new owners “ But I feel as if there is a plan from the owners. They are not saying ‘Sunderlandhave to win the league this year’. They want to grow this club incrementally, they don’t want to spend £100 million this summer. Put talent and quality into your club and let it grow.“ Looks like another journey then? No pressure to get promoted. Luvly.
  7. I hope you are not putting too much of a gloss on this signing although i understand you want to appear whiter than white.
  8. Thinking philosophically about this last minute sale Charade that clubs go through. Why? If you need a player, budget for him and go in early. Job done. We are not buying bomber jackets at H&M when it does not matter if you miss out. I appreciate that some squad players availability depends on injuries further up the food chain. I think For some clubs, saying they went for a player gives them bragging rights with fans. Except fans are not stupid.
  9. Good to see Harvey Elliott Killing it for Liverpool tonight
  10. 🤔 Adequate money to invest in an adequate replacement or two?
  11. He needs to go in this window. We don’t need the risk of an injury or a drop in form diluting the price. Plus the ability to pre sign a contract in January and all the head games that go with that.
  12. Well we did a great job with Harvey Elliott. He did a great job for us.
  13. With Maupay signed for Everton, the Diaz of a bumper payout may be dwindling. could be 10 million plus add ons
  14. In fairness Jack did see us as a project. It was his pet project. The stars aligned. He made very good money, He had a vision for Rovers and from the ground to the training facilities, to the manager, he went for the best. It took time, and project management, but his burning ambition and passion for the club made all the difference. Yin and Yang.
  15. I think the interim title should be “Transfers - Ask Geoff”
  16. I want my acid reflux to recede. It happens around page 536 every season.
  17. Don't want him injured sitting in the shop window.
  18. Extraordinary story. Taking the bad boy of football to a to a completely lower level. Although with current stories knocking around maybe not.
  19. “And now for something completely different 🦶” Great quote from Travis on team briefings with JDT “I think it helps, in meetings previously you could maybe doze off if you were a little tired. You never know if he will ask you a question so everyone is focusing and that's good."
  20. If you are good enough, you are old enough.
  21. That had me scurrying for my wikipedia. What a great hypothesis. I once knew a guy in customer service called Joe Terrible. True that.
  22. Here endeth Wolves interest in Diaz. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62459500
