  1. You mean that fella in front of the tank? He had it easy. I bet they weren't playing Glad All Over to him at a million decibels were they?
  2. What a truly historic moment that was. Etched in my mind, and in the minds of everyone who saw it, forever. Chilling stuff. Bloody Courtney.
  3. Hardly likely. If I had a penny every time someone posted "7 years" I'd probably have something like 53p now, maybe as much as 65p.
  4. Got to love this on Twitter! From @ninjathunder "Absolutely bloody typical. #Rovers on the verge of a rare away victory and @realDonaldTrump threatens the apocalypse"
  5. 1 0 Rovers. Evans with a fine finish. They showed the goal on Sky Sports News - Channel 409.
  6. Knowing you Arbitro, knowing me, bob fleming. A ha. Mama Mia, here we go again.
  7. He was reporting on Sky Sports News last week - live from Old Trafford on the Lukaku thing. A role he did previously before Rovers I think (not that I remember him before Rovers)
  8. Now that does make sense! Good grief though. Alan Myers tweets nothing more than Judan Ali and then a pair of eyes. No one would bet against this happening now though. Cat 1 or not. League 1 or not. You can kind of guarantee that we'll no longer be attracting the cream of the crop anymore - regardless of whether we buy parents houses etc when they're 11 or not (as other clubs do)
  9. Come again? And I'm not having a go. I can well believe anything now. Ali was here initially? When? Players liked him as Scott Dann won a pool competition with him? Or Dann and Ali held up some pool champions? At gun point? On a road? Gary Neville was earmarked as manager and was prepared to have Ali as his assistant but Balaji's film company went bust? When was this? and this has come from Shebby Singh - aka Captain Sensible?
  10. Yep, heard that before Len. All ties in with that infamous Andy Cole article doesn't it? Loads of people knew by all accounts about what was going to happen. Only takes one to talk. One day the master of puppets will get his. He can hide but he can't run. Imagine if that and Venkys leaving happened in the same week? It'll be like the 14th May 95 all over again. One day eh? Just a matter of time.
  11. Commercial Rain was another belter. Saw them above Cest la Vies in town a long time ago - slide show as well! Also at Manchester international 2. What a venue that was! The walls were leaking. I also saw Motorhead there around 91. Happy days. RIP Mr Gill.
  12. Can't argue with that. Barnsley, one win in 10. Yep. If you employ Owen Coyle, keep him in charge for as long as they did, spend nothing on player recruitment, bring in far too many loans, bring in has beens and scum bags, employ Sheffield Wednesday "managerial" cast offs. Well, basically, you're setting yourself up to fail. Premeditated destruction.
  13. We were that poor last weekend I'm worried about Rotherham catching us. As for Wes Brown, he's taking the pi$$. So was the bloke who signed him. Are we going bust? We probably already are, there's just a bit more to be squeezed out of this charade first though isn't there? You know, for "the owners". We've been morally bankrupt as a club from the moment The Walker Trust sold us to "Venkys".
  14. Barnsley take the lead at Wigan. It's the hope etc...
  15. Well if Paul Senior knows him then I dare say we might go for Andy Morrison again. Sorry, I shouldn't BDS. It would never happen, Morrison is of course well past his sell by date, he can barely move these days I'd wager. No way would we sign a centre half like that.
  16. That should never take off either.
  17. That'll never take off.
  18. In all fairness to Tony, we really are going to have to!! Sorry BB, couldn't resist!
  19. My thoughts entirely. Seems a good guy. My bullshitometer isn't going off by merely looking at him so that's an improvement anyway. We shall see. Massive 12 days coming up. It should have been before the Norwich game.
  20. That's pretty much where I'm at. "Worst owners in the country". Clueless, unable to make a decision, no money for players, little to no interest. As many others have said though, just who were we / was I expecting? All the best to him, he surely can't be any worse than the last one can he. It would take some doing.
  21. That might be true or false, there's no denying that. It could be argued either way depending on your stance or indeed how you are sat whilst making a point you probably agree with at that very moment in time. But tomorrow? It's difficult. What is undeniably true though is that our relegation from the premier league was obviously largely down to indecision from Steve Kean on the colour, and indeed type of collar, on the Rovers third team shirt. The fact that Kean was alienating, freezing out and indeed selling or paying off experienced Premier League players and replacing them with the likes of his Agents son Myles Anderson is neither here nor there. Oh no. The third choice shirt which we may well have worn four or five times that season perhaps was the real problem. The guy went to hell and back. Planes were nose diving in his face, a supporter was seen on television shouting in his direction as we lost yet another home game. Charlie Nicholas and Paul Merson were visibly arsed, and yet all poor Steve could see was shirt patterns. Like a broken Vietnam vet it was a relief when he eventually pulled himself off and away from his own personal hell. That historic Friday he resigned and checked himself into the Priory with nothing more than a colouring pad, some crayons, dog biscuits and a massive cheque. Fortunately his agent managed to get him a job in a tax haven where they don't have to worry about third kits.
  22. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/15068680._I_got_pulled_into_things_that_I_probably_wasn_t_qualified_to_be_talking_about____former_boss_Steve_Kean_on_his_time_as_Blackburn_Rovers_boss/ "I got pulled into things that I probably wasn't qualified to be talking about." - yes, that's right, like anything to do with football management. I was only saying last night, do you know what we need right now? With us being second bottom in the league, with no sign of Coyle getting the sack, with a bloke with a stocking on his head talking out of his arse in the media - do you know what the LT should do? Run a feature on Steve Kean. That'll be just the job that. Apologies for the link by the way. I really wouldn't bother.
