Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas

Just an update- we had a very productive first, Venky’s Out 2025 meeting. See the below picture for an update. It’s also become apparent that we’re wasting our energy with Waggot- Suhail is the one that needs shifting. Another meeting will be organised for next week- details will be posted on here again. 👍- 909 replies

Just to update you all- I’m in the process of finalising the agenda for the meeting, which will be posted on here when it’s sorted. -
Mike- thanks for your update on here. I was very impressed by the statement the other day. I have been part of forming the Venky’s Out 2025 page on Facebook. I put it together (alongside others) because I felt people were complaining on here, whilst doing not a lot about it (myself included). It does appear now, however, the WATR group are taking more of a lead on this. In your honest opinion, is it worth forming something like this (in an attempt to give the protest movement some direction) or will it interfere with WATR’s work to shift the owners? The last thing I want to do is make your group’s job, even harder. The fanbase must unite to achieve the common goal.

It’s been set up so that cameras have to be on. A warning will be given out prior to the meeting being opened up to the attendees too, regarding libel etc. 👍 -

For me, it has to be a boycott. We’ve had all the chants inside the stadium before. They don’t care. The only way it was hit them even more is if we stop going. Waggot’s kept his job because he keeps increasing the club’s revenue (or so he says). Only an empty stadium will speak volumes. Not for part of the game, but for the full 90 minutes. -

I think that’s the route we go down, personally. That statement seems to have finally woke up a very apathetic fanbase, though, judging by the reaction on Facebook. -

Right, when I’m home from work tonight, I’m going to form the Not a Penny More protest group, on Facebook. I’ve worked on campaigns before against house building in Darwen. Whilst it wasn’t successful in the end, we did give Blackburn Council an awful lot of headaches. We can’t keep moaning on here and expect something to happen though.- 909 replies

It sounds like a Berg job to me. In other news, has anyone noticed how quiet the Rovers social media team is? -

These are all pipe dream. The only people applying for this are those who love the club, like Gareth Ainsworth, Keith Hill, Simon Grayson… and individuals like John Gregory and Adie Boothroyd, who want to restart their English league managerial career. Word will have got round about how they promise the world and deliver nothing. -

Someone organise it and I’m there, outside the Jack Walker Stand, waiting for Waggot after the game, with a placard. This is the problem for me though- no one wants to sort it (me included). We have an awful lot of anger on here, which is aimed at a keyboard, but not inside/ outside the ground. Until this changes, we’ll all be sat here in another 5 years, complaining on here. -

The owner’s son’s account has now gone private, on Instagram. I’ve also been removed as one of his followers. His Threads account seems to be open though, in which I’ve asked him to sell the club. -

if he’s been given assurances, yes. Does this not tell you the state the club’s in though? “The only saving grace is that Waggott and co have chosen the last two managers and both were hits, so here’s hoping for a hatrick.” Give me a break man- he’s the reason why we’re about to lose another good manager. -
Does anyone know what the crack is with this lot? Surely, they should be preparing to coordinate protests now?

I disagree completely. This is all on the owners. We’ve had this now with countless managers. They are the common theme. If a decent job came along in the industry you worked in, allowing you to flourish in your role, whilst working at a company that wasn’t appreciative of your skill set, you’d be off like a flash. We all would. -

Well, if Eustace goes, I won’t be stepping foot inside Ewood for a long time. My season ticket can gather dust until summer and then it won’t be renewed. Waggot and Pasha need removing, but- as a fan base- we seem to have no real direction with regards to how to go about doing it. The Rovers Trust need to up their game here, massively. -

Sorry, but I don’t buy him going, for the following reasons: 1) We’re sat in the top 6 and not a relegation place. Even if Venky’s and Waggot are terrible, we’re still in with a shout of going up. Does he really want a relegation scrap? 2) Derby haven’t a pot to piss in. My mate’s a Derby fan who’s said their owner’s no money to spend on players. He purchased it to literally save the club from going to the wall. 3) Derby sacked their manager after week of training and the closure of the transfer window. To me, that stinks of Birmingham. 4) He’s stuck with that dross that Paul Warne’s bought, with there being no window, if he goes. Even if he’s not entirely with happy with the squad here, some of them will be his squad. If he’s going, it’ll be summer. -

A really disappointing night. Individual player thoughts are : -Buckley- nowhere near good enough at this level. -Hedges- forgot he was on the pitch. -Cantwell- doesn’t look 100% right to me. -Dolan- the most appalling decision maker in that team. -Beck- struggled against the directness of Smith (I think he was called) which seems to be a common theme for the lad. He needs moving further forward, onto the wing. -Forshaw- probably the best appearance so far, even if it was for a short period. -Pears- questionable keeping. Time to give Toth another go. On another note- why the hell did we stop pushing forward after we equalised? We had them on the ropes. Eustace’s tactics and subs are at fault tonight for me. -

Unsure who designed it. I’ll try and have a go with editing it, when I’m away from work. -

Okay, Folks- a call to arms. I’m proposing that every social media message that gets posted by the club now, is replied to with the Venky’s & Waggot Out imagine below. It’s nothing major, BUT it’s a start to getting a proper protest movement up and running again. Full credit to whoever came up with the image too, as it’s not mine. The more visible this becomes, the more people will start to believe that we can remove these set of muppets ruining our club.
