If we had to chose between RSC and Bennie macarthy to bring back to Rovers, the latter would have been better. Well he is out of contract, due to being released so could be signed. Sadly not enough time to get him fit enough. Sad that he has allowed himself to go the way he has done. -
Maybe steamed to keep them warm. Ironically, when you go the far east, malaysia for example. It will be rare to buy a curry 'pan hot'. Spicy hot, yes. May have something to do with the climate. But I often find that if I have an Indian takeaway and cannot finish it. It always seems to taste beter the following day. Quite a few asians use the place themselves - so food must be ok.

Yes my wife and I came up to blackburn 16th to 29th dec 2010. We went to Shahi Quila twice. One of those being christmas day. Really good in our opinion. £10.00 eat as much as you want, £12.50 on christmas day, but still good value. Jug of lassie (not dog) £5.00. No alcoholic drinks. We recommend this place. They are though considering changing the price. As they think that moneywise - cooking 40 dishes - may not be viable at the price they currently charge. If more people start going they will keep it the same.

To be honest the Rovers fans took exception to sunderland fans being in the JW. But I suppose they could make a seperate area for away fans in the JW - darmen end of the JW of course. I thought your post was saying to have a section in the JW for away supporters - correct me if I am wrong. yes my wife and I sit in the JW when we are able to get to games for a better view of the match. It is not though to seperate ourselves from certain groups of people, but understand when others take that stance - especailly if they have kids with them. I remember about 2 maybe 3 seasons ago a few Rovers supporters were evicted from Craven Cottage just before the game v Rovers kicked off. You could not help think what a bunch of morons, travelled all that way and get evicted before the game even started. Yet Fulham's ground is a friendly place to visit, yet some went there to cause trouble - pathetic. Even this season there were a group of Rovers supporters, trying to provoke fulham supporters near the away end. Agree with what you are saying and requesting. I suggest the mods open a thread to discuss the bahaviour of supporters. Because sadly there is a growing trend again and supporters have to do what they can to stamp it out before it grows any further.

Somebody was arrested for the incident at stoke. If the police have the right person then I hope he receives a heavy sentence and banned from football for life.

I was at Ewood park for the sunderland game over christmas. There were at that game sunderland supporters sat in the JW. My wife and I always sit in the JW when we go to games. As we can not get to many games we prefer to spend the extra ticket price to sit in the JW. During that game, those sunderland supporters mocked / abused the Rovers supporters everytime sunderland scored. Thenodrog, it is not the area where a seat is, but the person that sits on that seat. Going to Fulham away is not an unpleasent ground to go to, I would say it was a good day out (apart from the result) I went to WHU last week, no problems with WHU supporters / stewards. The only problem I had was when a Rovers supporter sat next to me was singing '442 my lord 442'. This one turned round to me when he noticed I wasn't singing along, and said I was a not a true supporter because I didn't sing the song. Going to wigan via coach from ewood park was not unpleasent. But half time on the concourse was a nightmare and a disgrace. People were squashed just trying to get out of the gents. The car park well that was a disgrace. Some grounds it can be pleasent to take a child / women other places it cannot be.

I think history shows that when people are losing their jobs etc because of a recession they take out their fustration and anger out somehow. Football to them often gives them that place to do it. Is it a coincidence that it is creeping back again - just after a recession?

A firm I sometimes do work for when they are short, are employed by the police to board up, seal off areas, such as shops etc, where a crime / vandilisum has happened during the night. A typical 'duty'night would be 12 midnight to 5am. The trouble is often caused by drunken people when the pubs close. We have noticed for awhile that things changed for the worse when they allowed drinking until 2am. When pubs closed at 11 - 11-30pm there wasn't as much trouble. During that time pubs closed at about 2pm until opening up at about 5pm - that did allow the drunks to go home sober, sleep off the afternoon drinking. What is happening in some towns now is that certain pubs that are open till 2am have an entry time cut off. For example a landlord will say that unless you are in this pub by midnight, you won't get in. But it means that when other pubs are closing say at 11-30 and try to get into a later openning venue, get refused, then trouble erupts, either there or other places in the town. But basically when the drinking times changed so did society and the culture, with it.

Maybe shake a few hands knowing they will be playing each other next season in the championship. Unless the creditors come in first. -

I do rate Bennie as a player - but as a sulker, as he has turned as he is now, the fact he does not want to play for Rovers - does not want to honour his contract etc that is the Bennie Rovers have at the moment. We do not know everything what has happened behind the scenes at Rovers. But we know that he has been encouraged to lose weight and get himself fitter - he has failed to do so. That in itself makes him less affective as a player. It also smacks of arrogance - "I should play go to the world cup, because I am Bennie Macarthy". That is the attitude he is showing. Yes he HAS done good for Rovers, but he does not want ot do so anymore. Therefore that makes him a useless player for Rovers - therefore the club and the supporters have to move on. He has chosen to turn his back on Rovers and it supporters - hence the club and it supporters are now doing likewise. hardly a game went by when Bennies name was not sung by the fans - yet. -

As he wants to leave Rovers I would be happy for him to go to WHU - he can go on Sunday after Rovers play WHU. Or friday evening, leaving it too late to play. -

Now he can go, Kalinic showed tonight if he is given a decent run in the side he will score goals. But who to partner him is the question. I still want to see if Di Santo and Kalinic can play together - before I write off Di santo. -

Be a pity if he does not start with or use Bennie tonight. As this could be his last game for Rovers and hopefully he'll want to play ablinder - he may also wish to make up WHU's minds up for them, and get them to cough up the money being asked. -

Especially on instalments - all cash upfront or no deal. Do you know what strikers they are looking at. -
If Rovers do not sign him, then somebody else will. If he does not change his ways, I would rather he tackled another teams players than a Rovers player. But the reality is, like it or not, he will be playing football in the premiership. Would we rather he was our side or against us. It could be a shrewd signing I agree.

The ideal situation would be (if it happens) to see Barton come to Rovers, play fantastic football and not get into any trouble - the question is can it be achieved at Rovers. People seem to forget that Rovers have a history of taking in the 'bad boys'. Under Hughes the team were called thugs by the media for the way they played football. I remember Glen Keeley in the good old days, very good defender who went in hard, very hard for a tackle - the Blackburn end used to sing out, 'keeleys going to get you' to opposing teams. Savage had a bad history, Bellamy, Dickov, EHD ok these we on the football field. Barton has transgressed off the field - he is therefore a loose cannon. If Sam is seriously considering going for Barton - who he already knows from newcastle - then he must know that he can man manage Barton ok. My opinion is really leave it to Big Sam, I believe he knows what he is doing. Glen Keeley was brilliant in my view and we could do with more like him today. Who was the liverpool 'hardman'?
-
As much as I hate Bartons behaviour etc, he is still a good player. I also suggest that Sams player management would be better than anything that Barton has so far had. If anybody can calm Barton down (understatement I acknowledge) and get the best out of him in football terms, then Sam is the one to do it. Most of us said no to Savage, EHD, Dickov, Bellamy - even Batty years ago - yet each player did a good job for Rovers. EHD is still hit and miss in my view with regards to his contribution on the field so far. Sometimes he can be the best player in the team and other days the worse. I still detest the things he has done in the past, but the truth is he hasn't done anything wrong since coming to Rovers. Barton is his own worse enemy - but with a football talent. I would have thought his time in jail would have helped change him for the better, but the tackle on sunday showed different - though in my view, as bad as it looked and the position on the pitch, making the tackle pointless - I do not think there was intent to injure the player, but was instead a very mistimed one - though to be honest I have only seen it once. Would I want this player at Ewood - I do not know. The football talent I would want, but not the behaviour that goes with it. But with Rovers having less media profile than say city or newcastle it may be the place where the bad behaviour could be curbed. But I also believe that Sam is the best manager to man manage Barton.

If Bennie has been saying he wants out of Rovers then he can expect a fine for - bad timming - as did RSC. Personally I think this story is a made up one by the mail. Sam would have told Bennie why he was substituted and I think Bennie is proffessional enough to have excepted Sam's reasoning. The reality is that before the stoke game Bennie had not played that many games, Christmas fixtures coming up and sam would have wanted Bennie at his best - therefore it was right to substitute Bennie against stoke, even if it did cost Bennie a hat trick, Sam has to think of the team as a whole not just one player. So I think the mail are just stirring things against Rovers - as have other media also been doing. RSC, Warnock, maybe Macarthy wanted by other teams, just media stirings -

I heard some time ago that RSC also plays well on the right wing, simular to what Davies does at Bolton. If that is the case Bennie up front with Roberts and RSC coming in from the wing, could cause problems for a lot of defences. -
I agree with the bad naming of this thread - first glance I thought Warnock gone - Duff in - oh help. Though if I am honest he would be a good squad member, but not at the expence of warnock.

At least somebody is trying to create a new song for Rovers supporters - may even drown out the drummer - one day - hopefully.

Extra £10 a month + plus new TV + new Sky box. Even if the quality of the picture isn't as good as HD - I'll put off the change for as long as I can. Yes I still use XP on my computer and refuse to go to Vista and will continue for as long as my computer holds out etc. Yes if you see a ford fusion on the road with a door hanging off, steam coming out from all sorts of places, more dents and scratches than original paint owrk - it's mine. Anyway pleased you enjoy your picture. -

Call me old fashioned - but my TV works ok - I get sky plus with the complete package - so why do I need to go down the HD road. The picture maybe ' a little better ' in some peoples opinion. Is this not this HD stuff, just another gimmic to get us to part with our money? But why spend money on something that is NOT needed. Oh sky + boxes also break down I am also on my third -
I agree, slaves were whipped and cruelly treated etc - footballers are paid huge amounts of dosh - idolised etc etc. They can rip up, ignore or buy out their own contracts.
