I'd be very happy with Danns but I still think we'd need 2 more in, preferably permanent signings (forward and midfielder). -

Brittain MoM again for me. He's a different player this season. Very impressive performance. -

You did, didn't you. 😀 Hope your necks recovered. FWIW I don't think you'll be chopped this time. I agree I can't see it happening. -

I was just thinking the same thing, especially now Gueye is performing a bit better. I'd prefer a smaller, nippier striker, is there a young Mo Salah out there? I'd also happily take the young lad from Liverpool, Jayden Danns, as he looks like he might be a bit of a unit but has the skills to go with it. -

Having said that, he has an eye for goal - unlike Dolan whose finishing is abysmal,. -

I tend to agree. Lambert talked the talk, apparently even observed Gardiola training sessions, but was, ultimately, shit. -

Absolutely. Branthwaite was dog shite when he was with us, but he was also just a teenager starting out on his career. Now what's he meant to be worth? -
Well. Didn't see that coming. Quite a scrappy game and didn't feel like a 3-0. Kudos who slipped the ref a few quid before the game - we got ALL the big decisions! I'm liking this seasons version of Brittain - he was superb. Tronstad, solid as a rock again. What a first touch/ tackle by Sanderson. Good stuff!!!

Hedges, that was shit.

I don't like that lineup. We're at home and it feels too staid and defensive. If we aren't going to start Cozier- Duberry at home against a team in the relegation zone then will it happen? I'd probably also have started JRC in front of Buckley. Disappointing, and I hope it doesn't backfire.

I think you have to factor in the fact we're currently 7th on merit. Yes, the squad needs work but 'massive improvement' seems to be a touch melodramatic. -

I like Yuki too. I think he's sttled in well all things considered. Remember, he was also well into the J League season before joining us so he's probably knackered. I get the sense Cantwell much prefers playing with Yuki than Gueye. Yuki has a football brain, Gueye sadly, hasn't. I have high hopes that after a good rest and a full pre-season Yuki will prove an integral part of the team next year. Gueye on the other hand probably needs to be sold. -

I gave up on Buckley ages ago. Was going to be the next big thing apparently but has always flattered to deceive. All fur coat no knickers is John... -

Out if all the loans, much happier to be retaining Beck and ACD. Baker is replaceable but this has to happen given our injury situation. Buckley isn't the answer. -

As others have said, you can't sustain a season on 1-0 wins, it only takes a 1 goal turnaround and you're on the receiving end as we've found out recently with Hull and Milwall. We desperately need some reinforcements- the squad is too thin. Biggest priority has to be a decent striker. Gueye is a big lump but has no composure in front of goal. Ohashi, I like more but he must be running on empty given the earlier Japanese league start (also now possibly injured). CB/LB cover is a must. Probably one more DCM too. Finally, a LW speedy type. I think if we get 4 in that should see us okay. Obviously, that would need to be revisted if we have any outgoings. -

Random thoughts: We look lethargic... Gueye couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.. Pears punches the ball because he can't catch it... -

This seasons Travis is a big loss. Pickering less so as we have Beck but if he gets injured we'd be fooked at left back. -

Perhaps not but but it's also important to acknowledge that we were something of a basket case when he took over. I was a JDT fan, but if he'd stayed I'm convinced we'd now be in League 1. He might not not have been able to 'buy a win' but he kept us up, and that was all that mattered.
