McGinn plays number 7 We have a spare number 7 shirt... #NailedOn How's that for a Nixonesque prediction! -

I expect he is on a low wage. TM pretty much said at the time he wasn't sure he could step up to the champ but had earned 'a go'. -

Has he played that role for the under 23s? What's his goals/assists ratio. Hard to assess his energy levels as he only makes cameo appearances. If anything he looks like a Smallwood type. -

Millwall Will give us a decent picture. Very well organised by all accounts and unlucky not to beat Boro. -

On what evidence do you base your opinion that Travis can play box to box? -

Our problem is we have plenty of midfielders...but are any of them actually good enough? Whittingham disappointing -legs gone? Travis -promising but untested Davenport - as above Smallwood - good bench player at this level. Evans - rarely delivers often injured. None of them are box to box either. Would be good to get some quality in there -but we can say that about all areas of the pitch. Interesting that Sharpe reckons that Armstrong isn't the striker replacement for Graham and we are still after one. Seems to think that the Armstrong deal was too good to pass on. -

To be fair. Shearer was a fantastic crosser of a ball. -

Think we all know that we have 6-7 good enough at this level and a couple of possibles. Big week for TM. Pretty sure he knows this as well. -

I think a draw is a decent result given the lack of quality we have currently. Wouldhave taken it before kick off. Today simply highlighted what we knew from last season. Defence is pretty solid - with Williams the weakest of the 4. Midfield is a weak area. Smallwood is a trier but lacks quality. Evans seems to coast. A lot of pressure on Davenport to make an impact in that area. Bennett is a grafter and did well in the middle and at right back but offers nothing out wide. Samuels will probably have 1 good game in 10. Conway too slow. Dack and Graham fine at this level. Nuttall out his depth at this moment of time. Four 1st team players needed to be competitive in this league. Pretty sure that Mowbray knows that. Whether we get them is a different matter... -

Perhaps a quicker full back may have negated Edwards threat? -

Take off Graham, Dack . Sit back. Not learnt from last season. Would have taken a point though. Highlights a lack of depth -

You'd hope that Samuel, Evans, and Williams have played themselves out. -

We all know the weakness in the squad. This could be genius by TM. Giving players the opportunity to play themselves out of the team and still winning! -

I see Harry Chapman is on the bench for Boro. -

Good turnaround. Need to kick on. How is Samuels doing? Has Evans turned up? -

Pressures on the likes of Samuel, Williams, Smallwood, even Bennett. Step up or it makes it easy to replace you. -

It's a hard working side but Dack aside, has little quality and zero pace. As someone else said, many thought this team would easily hold its own in the champ. Time to see. -

That's because we haven't signed anyone who can justify a place yet. -

Agree. Would be happy with Gallagher. At 6ft 4 he will win as many flick-ons as Graham and is more mobile. Good age and could bulk up as his career develops. Would also learn a lot from Graham. He's got all the attributes to work with, height, deceptively quick and works hard. -
