  1. Said the same. Kids that age are also inconsistent. Not knocking them, it's just the way it is. So, lacking any pace up top/out wide and bullied again in midfield. Two areas that most of us highlighted during the window. Expect some reaction, similar to Stoke. No doubt we'll huff and puff. Can't see us getting owt though.
  2. As good as he was weds, Wharton needs subbing. Scared to tackle on a yellow.
  3. Can't win a tackle in the middle of the pitch. That's the worry with playing young lads.
  4. About as strong as we can manage at the moment. Weak bench though - no goals on there.
  5. Yeah but to be fair Dolan and Vale are just underwhelming full stop. At least you got to the edge of your seat 😂
  6. I was hoping that a Dembele or a someone with a bit of stardust would arrive as the last signing. Last night Wharton was class, but we haven't got a player that gets you on the edge of your seat in an attacking sense. Like Rothwell/Khadra/Elliot. could.
  7. Bang average window for me at best. Hyam and Brittain are decent buys. Szmodic is a downgrade on Rothwell. Morton may be a good loan, not sure yet. The other 2 loans just pad out the squad although Hirst may have something. Haven't been able to loan out JRC, Vale or Dolan who all look desperately short of first team quality at this moment of time. Diaz looks to be staying, which is either great because we'd never replace him, or terrible as we have lost a lot of money on him.
  8. Think we are a pacy wide player short. Thought we were expecting 3 after Hyam?
  9. Barnsley fans not too enamoured with Styles. Hasn't played well for a while by all accounts. Maybe one, that just needs a move or one to avoid after all. For those who know more about him, is he quick enough to play wing back?
  10. I have made my mind up, he's poor. Not being as bad as usual doesn't make him good all of a sudden. He got forward once and ran the ball out.
  11. I'm not a Pickering fan. Still feel he's a weak link but he did ok last night. Had a lot of help keeping Bowler quiet though.
  12. We kept him pretty quiet - especially second half. First half he looked their most likely player. It took 2-3 players around him all evening to nullify him. Fortunately Blackpool were pretty poor and they couldn't take advantage of the space that created. He'd be a threat for any team at this level.
  13. Thank fuck Great win. 12 PTS from a difficult month. Wharton a joy to watch. Good day tomorrow please.
